"Ugh, more wa'ered down ale." The Roegadyn looks up at the lightly armored adventurer holding a poster up next to her. "Yeh, I'm wanted. So what? You intendin t' buy my next n' or somin'?" She takes the wanted poster from the hands of the adventurer, who slowly backs away towards his friends, all of whom are now standing with their hands on their weapons. The poster reads "Blaetblyss Rostnmerl, Reward 200000Gil"

"You got quite the price on ya gal. Maybe you should try bein a little more discrete." Snarls a large Roegadyn clad in thick, heavy armour.

After downing the last of her drink, she turns and faces the group. "I ain't the one lookin' fer trouble 'ere kids. Jus' run along will ya?" As she turns to order another, an arrow shoots past her shoulder, creating a quick and ominous silence as it shatters a glass bottle behind the bar.

"You'll be coming with us." Snarls a man at the back, a second arrow pointing true from his bow. "And we will not be taking no for an answer..."

"Heh - k' then. You win." Holding up her hands she turns and walks towards the group. As she reaches them and the large Roegadyn goes to restrain her, she makes a quick kick out, catching him straight between the legs. As he drops, with a sweeping motion, she both blocks the arrow with his body and throws him across into the rest of their group before making a quick escape into the bustling streets outside.

OOC: Basics of my RP

Hi, I'm new to FFXIV and FF games in general really, though not so new to RP. I'm playing a Roegadyn pirate whose ship was destroyed in the time of the calamity. I will mostly be talking in character if you ever see me in game and have a rather specific style to my RP. I tend to be a little descriptive and like to focus on character development in the world. Most of my characters designs tend to come about in game and with other people, with only a very basic outline being drawn up before hand. 

 

OOC: Character RP background

Blaetblyss (pronounced Blett-bliss) is currently a wanted pirate from before the calamity. Herself and her crew prayed on ships trying to avoid the conflicts of the time. Those unable to fight and fleeing the most heavily conflicted areas. When the moon fell however, her ship was all but destroyed and most of her crew were either killed or later captured. Now, like the last remaining free members of her crew, she tries to avoid those who are hunting her bounty and make a new life until the calling of her captain arises once more.

 

Notes to those who may approach her. Her right eye is scared and she is almost blind in it. This is indicated by the white colour in it and to characters who are observant, it should be reasonably obvious. She is well built, like most Roegadyn appear to be and has a very erratic axe hand, often swinging it single handed IC'ly to be more destructive and 'hazardous' in combat. She dyes her hair, 'tis why it's purple.

 

OOC: My gaming background

I have played multiple MMO's before FFXIV including: WoW, Rift, WHO, ToR & GW2 and a few others for very short times. I first started RPing in Rift and later moved to ToR. Due to multiple reasons I have stopped playing ToR though due to the promising outlook of FFXIV I am now taking what little time I have readily available and intend giving this game a good shot.

I enjoy raiding and instancing and was in the leading ranks of a progression raiding guild in WoW and ran a guild in ToR though due to lack luster content most of my guild, myself included left. I enjoy other games such as Dota2 and LoL and if there is anyone looking for a game there I will be happy to join.

I am also currently part of a DnD campaign with Raeletta. (Who posted a few days ago)

 

OOC: My me thingymabop

I am English, 21 and currently working permanent night shift making my server of choice Gilgamesh. I am very open to different cultures, views and humour. Or for that matter; in this specific circumstance, experience levels. After all, we all start out somewhere. I am Dyslexic though most people can't tell from my typing ability. This mainly manifests itself in my slow reading speed though it can still come through in other areas when I'm too tired to control it.

 

I hope to have a great time in this community and game and from both me and Blaetblyss, I say Hello and thank you for your time and/or patience in reading this here scrawling.

Blaetblyss is quite the character. I imagine some fun Rp's coming out of her. Foiled ambushes and even a persistent bounty hunter or two on her tail. Sounds great!

Howdy, Squig! Welcome to RPC!

I'd offer you cake, honestly! But it seems that no one is baking it anymore ever since the game launch! Now not even the cherries or the chocolate flakes remain! :lol: But trust me that everyone here is friendly!

 

It might seems that there are only little activities around but it's all because everyone is still busy into developing their characters in game! Believe me the game is THAT good so much that even most RPers lose a bit of drive to RP and just play all day instead! Fun!

 

I love it when people make Roegadyn characters, especially the females, I do think the race deserve a little bit more love from the community, so thank you for making one!

 

I hope you'll be able to create her soon on Gilgamesh! Let us hope that today's maintenance will give a chance for the RPers to create their characters, amen to that!

Wasn't sure how well this post would come across as I made it just before heading to work. :geek:

 

Blaet' has already been made, currently sitting at level 19/9 on her way towards a job as a warrior. I haven't been able to get online much though due to the server queues. When I manage to get online I will definitely come on by the ol' wench.

Should be a lot better though after the maintenance last night. *Fingers crossed & knotted*

 

Also, you're welcome. Initially I wasn't going to make a Roegadyn but when the game hit open beta I spent some time looking over the characters properly. Then realised that Roeg's fitted my idea better than any of the other races. ^^

 

The cake, cookies n' small tipple of the odd scotch have been gathered in the time spent queueing so no worri... hey get off!!! That cakes mine! *Bags the cake and hides it away again*

 

Finally, after seeing ToR's release, I understand entirely that people are currently getting their characters leveled through the story, kitted in high quality RP gear and looking for good hubs for the general social RP scene. Takes a couple of weeks, though it will all stabilise eventually.
