do we have a non legacy alternative to GIlgamesh if ppl cant ever get on that server (i mean even after the maintenance tonight if the WAS world transfers im sure its only gonna be for the new servers and not the old full ones... who knows when Gilgamesh will be open again

The most often server I hear about would be Behemoth. It was one of the servers that a group of people on the FFXIV Beta forums were playing on, however they did not come to the RPC forums very frequently. I do not know how active they are however.

These are some of the older threads that may help. But in general I would wait a little before jumping over. The character creation maybe locked for a couple days but SE has said the limits were in place to limit the flood of people in the starting zones, and I expect a new flood of people due to how many haven't been able to get on at all.
