Mycroft Posted August 24, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 24, 2010 Okay.. Even though Open Beta is soon upon us, I'm among those who haven't got a rig capable of running FFXIV to a satisfactory degree. So I thought it appropriate to ask you fine folks whether anyone of you play League of Legends. I myself have both an EU and an US account (damn Germany's lousy censorship of games). Malrenn (EU) and Malrend (US). Now for those of you who don't know what this is about *ahem*. http://eu.leagueoflegends.com/ League of Legends (or LoL for short) is basically a DotA clone, two teams of five trying to destroy the opposing team's base. Now this game has a lot of new features including "Summoner spells", Runes and Masteries (Basically a skill tree). Those new features add an extra layer of strategy to the gameplay, which also helps eliminate certain fatal match-ups.. Of which I only know one to still exist in the game. Discuss, inquire and troll away. Link to comment
Renaise Posted August 24, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 24, 2010 I really sucked at but I might give this a try Link to comment
Mycroft Posted August 24, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted August 24, 2010 Oh I sucked at DotA as well, but after playing LoL for nearly a year I'd say that my level of skill has at least risen a teensy-weensy bit. Link to comment
Len Posted August 24, 2010 Share #4 Posted August 24, 2010 I owned at DotA until the day my clan played the number 1 team in our country and got owned like 90+ kills vs our never even touching them ... They even played around and ran back and forth .. they only let us farm after they all reached like 5 or more levesls ahead of us . Those guys are machines One guy does like every skill instant cause he clicks super fast like lightning Although I was team strategist and number one at running away there is no strategy against raw power and I had the least deaths of 10 Me being the only one left able to dodge them since running away always my best skill , other skill is chasing but can not chase a Bear with a Rabbit if ya get what I am saying Link to comment
UnbeknownstGhost Posted August 24, 2010 Share #5 Posted August 24, 2010 You don't even play on your US account do you? I looked. Link to comment
Mycroft Posted August 24, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted August 24, 2010 Only when invited into normal games with my friends on the US servers.. Which isn't that often any more. Link to comment
UnbeknownstGhost Posted August 24, 2010 Share #7 Posted August 24, 2010 Dude, you are level 6 with no match history. So that means you haven't played on a US server sinc before season 1 Link to comment
Mycroft Posted August 24, 2010 Author Share #8 Posted August 24, 2010 You are correct sir. May I ask where this is leading? Link to comment
Aniir Posted August 24, 2010 Share #9 Posted August 24, 2010 I played LoL a good deal.. don'thave much time now between the beta and sc2. I'll start playing again, so add me User: Aniir Link to comment
UnbeknownstGhost Posted August 24, 2010 Share #10 Posted August 24, 2010 May I ask why you bothered to add a US account? Link to comment
Mycroft Posted August 25, 2010 Author Share #11 Posted August 25, 2010 If anyone of the RPC's US members were to start playing, I might get to use it again.. It is a selfish thought, I know, but meh. Link to comment
UnbeknownstGhost Posted August 25, 2010 Share #12 Posted August 25, 2010 I actually play quite a bit. Right now I'm getting some friends used to playing so I have a sperate account where I have played way too many practice games. Vs bots and people. Unfortunatly it is noobs that I'm playing against, so I destroy them. I hate doing that. Link to comment

Guess I should put it more like this you get noobs then casual gamers then semi-pro then pros who own and then you get pros that give you no chance unless you as pro as they are ... Link to comment
UnbeknownstGhost Posted August 25, 2010 Share #16 Posted August 25, 2010 I can survive with Cho, my team usually dies though :'( I am a pro with Cho, I mained with him for a long time. I had to drop my older account due to the sad internet connection I had. I think I had around 40 leaves. Link to comment
Mycroft Posted August 25, 2010 Author Share #17 Posted August 25, 2010 Lol, I'm playing on the account I used during the EU Closed Beta. I freaking own with Kassadin and Janna.. My Kassadin is now DIAMONDS! Link to comment
UnbeknownstGhost Posted August 25, 2010 Share #18 Posted August 25, 2010 Never met someone that can play Kassadin very well at all. I've seen some ok ones, but not good. Link to comment
Mycroft Posted August 25, 2010 Author Share #19 Posted August 25, 2010 Well it's because he's a very situational champion.. If the opposing team doesn't have a specific setup, then he'll be sub par.. However the current favourites are optimal opponents for him. Link to comment
UnbeknownstGhost Posted August 25, 2010 Share #20 Posted August 25, 2010 Who exactly are the current favs? I've been kinda noobing out lately. Link to comment

Mycroft Posted August 25, 2010 Author Share #23 Posted August 25, 2010 Personally I don't like him.. Look at this and decide for yourself though: Urgot Spotlight. Link to comment
UnbeknownstGhost Posted August 25, 2010 Share #24 Posted August 25, 2010 Later game he is a very team oriented champion, but he could be very useful, and very deadly. His ult is especially good for getting rid of squishy carries and for popping a runner into your team or even pulling someone into a turret. Link to comment
Mycroft Posted August 27, 2010 Author Share #25 Posted August 27, 2010 Hey Renaise if you're making an EU account be sure to call upon me if you any advise on champs, runes, etc. Link to comment
