[Gilgamesh] Hello hello hello!

Hello, world!

 

I'm a recently returned player after a many-years hiatus from the much-troubled 1.0, who chose to start anew on Gilgamesh. I play MMOs for roleplay more often than not, and I'm looking forward to getting to know some of the community here!

 

My MMO roleplaying experience started with MUDs in the late 1990s and has since progressed from those to graphical games like Nexus, WoW, Lord of The Rings Online, SW:TOR, APB, TERA, and Guild Wars 2. I also occasionally freeform RP with friends on forums or instant messenger services. I've helped develop plots for guilds and even run one or two on my own, but I think I much prefer to be along for the ride.

 

I consider myself a medium to heavy roleplayer, in that I prefer to be in-character more often than not, but frequently go OOC to do things in-game that my character wouldn't have a reason to do. When in-character, I try to be as lore-concerned and realistic as possible, and I enjoy RP best when the people around me do as well. I'm still learning the lore surrounding FFXIV:ARR and will appreciate any feedback you all have to give!

 

As for me, I am twenty seven years old and currently working for an established financial institution. I have held a lifelong interest in video gaming as a medium and am in the process of planning one (or more) companies focused on the production of games for different demographics.

Thank you  Though I won't lie, part of my reasoning was that Balmung's login queue was 500+ consistently, while Gilgamesh was only about fifty >_>

 

I read about your linkshell before signing up! I might try and snag one or two of you in-game once I've settled a little.

Go right ahead! Were always up for RP and stuff! Will be looking forward to RP'ing with you maybe in the future!

 

Yeah, Balmung has a lot of people-as you may notice, atleast 60-70% of all RP'ers here are Balmung. (Active on the forums that is.) But there is a huge chunk still on Gilgamesh as well. Also Balmung is just more popular.

It is indeed, but I gotta play on the server I can actually get into! I made Ehki on Balmung as well, but she's very idle at the moment. I'll play her there if someone expresses interest, but right now Gilgamesh is my thing!
