Introduction - Hello!

Instead of stalking the site and the wiki, I thought it was time for me to introduce myself properly and perhaps get my character name out there so that anyone might feel free to contact me in the game for some RP.

I've been playing RP games half my life pretty much which all started with runescape, then Elder Scrolls Oblivion and from there GW and onwards to a multiple smaller free MMORPG, and also big games like Aion, Rift, Tera and GW2. But I started out roleplay in chat rooms around 8 years ago, then quickly worked my way up to para roleplaying and have been doing that ever since, though I don't have all that much experience in roleplaying within games. That being said, I always do make up a story about whatever character I'm playing within a game rather unconciously. But it is usually stuck with just me as I haven't been all that good at actively seeking out roleplay communities in games.

In FFXIV this all changed rather by chance as my 1.0 character happened to be on Balmung and I happened to see a shout for a RP based FC.

That all got me more into the roleplay aspect of the game and got me a FC where the FC itself is a part of the roleplay and tries to host events every weekend, as well as 3 linkshells with possible contacts for roleplay. But I'm always interested in more roleplay and would be happpy to be contacted in the game for roleplay and on here for advice on improving roleplaying within games as it is still something I'm not used to, both in terms of style and writing in first person present, not third person past. My vocabulary is still somewhat lacking despite my long experience as english is only my second language and I want to expand it more so I can cover a wider range.

With that, I think my introductions are over and I'd be happy to see you all in the game!

Greetings and welcome to the RPC Mhina,

Nice to hear you already have some groups in game you're working with. Its so much easier to get rolling when you already have your foot in the door and can use people you know to network into different groups.

You mentioned English as a second language and its interesting as a I learned two growing up. In game I can end up being confronted with having (what I think) a brilliant phrase in french, then i'll spend time trying to translate it while retaining the same flow and message. Its an interesting circumstance.

If you have the chance please take a look around the site and get familiar with what tools might interest you. Perhaps a column on the Lantern, or a character profile on the wiki. The Event calendar is always handy to keep in mind when both planning and even and deciding which one to attend.

The RPC's here to help, so ask any questions you might have and we'll do our best to answer them, Hope to see you in Eorzea soon!
