Smores Posted October 24, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 24, 2013 Basic Info Character:P'rido Jinh Linkshells:Materia Girl (OOC friends) Primary RP linkshell:Seeking one. [*] RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium working towards Heavy. I'm a bit rusty... Views on RP combat and injuries: Used to RP combat in XI, so I'm fine with it. Injuries are all right as long as they are progressing the roleplaying or immersion. Views on IC romance: I enjoy emotional connections with other characters, including love and lust. I'm not the type to fall easily though. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Same as the previous question, any emotional connections with others are deemed a good thing. My family ties will be chosen instead of by-blood, due to story. Views on lore: I'd like to think I'm fairly well versed in the current FFXIV lore, but there is always room to learn. I also have my own crackpot theory about XI and XIV worlds being tied, so I'm all right with entertaining some flex room. Just don't go throwing in other games to the mix. [7,8,9,10-2, etc.] Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I try to stay IC in /say 90-95% of the time. Most of my OOC is done through my linkshell or PM. If I'm in an RP FC, I'd like to be IC unless it's noted otherwise. I treat them on a case-by-case basis. [*] Other Info Country: ... United States. Timezone:EST. Smores Posted October 24, 2013 Author Share #2 Posted October 24, 2013 About P'rido Jihn Name: P'rido Jinh [Peh-ree-doh Jinn] Age: 23 Notable Features: Medium skintone, light freckles, pastel green asymmetrical bob, peach colored eyes, double ear piercings. Mainly found in: The Bismark kitchen, The Archanist's Guild, outside of Quarymill. Before Calamity P'rido is an awfully peculiar name for a Lalafell. Well, it wasn't always this way. The name used to fit-- when P'rido was a Miqo'te. Born to a family of eleven, P'rido was the third born female to a Miqo'te household just outside of Wineport. She spent her early days, before the Calamity, picking herbs and weeds at random outside the home to cook for her family. Her siblings often became the unwilling participants of these banquets, as did the local healer that came to cure the ill. Over the years, her eye for vegetation and ingredients yielded edible food and she became the family cook. The cleric still joined them for supper on occasion. When P'rido was barely eighteen, the Calamity struck. She had been foraging for supper ingredients deep in the jungle at the time. She returned to find her home, along with most of her family, strewn across their property. Her younger brothers and one sister were hurt, but alive and together they made the trek to the docks of Costa Del Sol. There, the cleric from her childhood mended them as best as he could and sent them on their way to Limsa, giving up his spot in return. After Calamity P'rido spent the next few years helping rebuild the northern sector of Limsa Lominsa, There, she fell in love with the Bismark and the temporary joy it provided for wary souls. At Twenty, she began her culinary training. Her days began to echo the peace she felt as a child again. Her siblings even found their own jobs within the city, opting for craft over adventure. Within two years of her training, P'rido was appointed as a chef at the Bismark-- though only to the lower ranks. She served tables her work directly, at her request, as to provide a more intimate experience. Or so she told her head chef. Truly, it was to ease drop on the conversations of adventurers and their plights. Food shortages were the most common complaints after death. Stations of soldiers living off of stale rations and meager servings that couldn't sustain a Carbuncle. How were they to fight off the beastmen when they could barely ward off hunger pains..? P'rido quickly made her way out of the city that night after her shift ended. She headed west towards where she thought a camp was set up, but her map was out dated since the Calamity. She found herself in the middle of the camp, now overrun with Sahagin. By some greater hand, an Archanist appeared and defeated the Sahagin before she could become a Miqo'te kabob. She spent the night camping and getting new directions from the Archanist. They shared food and drink before retiring for the evening, the Carbuncle opting to keep her warm during the brisk evening. When she woke, there wasn't any sign of the Archanist, but the Carbuncle remained. More curious than that, it had grown much larger, matching her own size now. P'rido stared down at her chubby fingers and legs, trying to figure out what had happened to make her bloat to badly. Passing it off as a bad tea blend, she went to the nearby stream to get some water, hoping to flush the toxins out. There, in her hand, the water's reflection told her the true problem. She had been turned into a Lalafell... Times have been rough since that day. P'rido quickly made her way back to Limsa Lominsa and groveled to her head chef to believe her story. She retained her job, but was graciously given extended breaks to go and research how to reverse her 'ailment.' This has led her back out into the field once more, as an adventurer. She seeks the truth behind the Archanist that saved her, and perhaps changed her, as well as a way to return to her former self.
