Dogberry Posted October 26, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 26, 2013 Every moral man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. - H.L. Mencken Syldra's Revenge There is an ancient proverb that as long as there is sea there will be pirates. Piracy, for better or for worse, is a longstanding tradition, and is not going anywhere any time soon. To some we are bloodthirsty criminals, a blight on society and an affront to law an order. To others, we are captains of free enterprise, and the only means by which some can receive the goods the more affluent take for granted. So which are we really? It is not up to us to make such judgments, only to act as we see fit and answer our own individual callings in life. It is with this in mind that the Syldra's Revenge welcomes all those who call themselves "pirate". As long as there is sea, we will be here, offering shelter and assistance to our kind. Pirates, Scallywags, Cutthroats, and Thieves, all are welcome. Still, we do not exist in a vacuum, and recognize that though we are not part of the city-states , the city-states face threats that jeopardize us all. As such, Syldra's Revenge asks that its members follow these general guidelines: 1. A Garlean prize is better than an Eorzean prize. 2. Make any and all Primal activity known. Beyond that, we give each member total autonomy over their actions. We are not the law, and we are certainly not your mother. If you wish to join our brotherhood, seek out Dogberry Himalspyr or Unseen Harbor. If you wish to sail aboard the Syldra's Revenge proper, inquire with Dogberry himself. Link to comment
S'maia Rahz Posted October 26, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 26, 2013 (Poor Syldra FFV may not have the attention that some of the other games did, but there were still some very poignant moments. Kudos for the obscure yet relevant FF reference in your name! ) Link to comment
Dogberry Posted November 11, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted November 11, 2013 Yes! I actually really liked FFV, and Syldra was one of my favorite parts. I just want to update and say we are actively recruiting! We're working with the linkshell Broken Chairs to organize an event where we buy and build Syldra's Revenge. More on that to come!
