Even if you don't plan on playing it right away, it's a FREE game... Of course I do recommend signing up for Team Trion, and participating NEXT weekend in the Extra Life Marathon (through Defiance or Rift). You don't need to play all day/night. But if you decide to take Trion up on this offer, I'd suggest playing an hour or two to help out with the fundraising. Claiming the game is simple, all you do is sign up for Extra Life (needs your phone / address / e-mail and other less personal things) then you receive an e-mail with the code to download the game.

Defiance is really a great MMOFPS as well as a great show, and I think it's worth the download. The T.V. show's first season concluded not long ago, but the second season starts up in June with a whole new set of episode-related content for the game. On top of that, we have at least four more DLCs to be looking forward to, and they will be releasing the episode-related content from last season before the new season begins. Defiance Season 1 is being sold, if you're interested in picking that up and "catching up".
