2013 Starlight Celebration Reference

Again, another event pops up and people are bloody CLUELESS. And who can blame them? It's not like Square actually told us what to do!

 

That's where I step in.

 

Where there is chaos, I bring order, and what season is more chaotic than Christmas? So let's get to it.

First off, let me get this out of the way. There are no quests tied to this event. All it really is is FATE grinding (and very minimal FATE grinding at that). However, for the sake of this guide, I'm going to assume we need to talk to a Frosty wannabe, AKA, "Starlight Celebrant". They can be found in the following locations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now here comes the fun part. We're off to find a FATE called "Stay Frosty". This FATE can be found outside each city and drops a resource called Eternal Ice, which can be traded in to the vendors next to each Starlight Celebrant for special gear, food, and even Barding. A single FATE gives about 30 Eternal Ice-In order to get all the gear and Barding, you're gonna need about 70.

*Central Thanalan (25, 30)

*Central Shroud (25, 29)

*Lower La Noscea (19, 35)

 

The FATE goes like this. There are a bunch of invulnerable imps. In order to damage them, you need to get thwacked by an AoE from one of the nearby Treants. This will give you a buff that allows you to lay the smack down on those nasty Voidsent. Repeat this process every time the buff runs out, and you'll be rewarded.

 

After about 3 FATEs, run to the vendor and buy everything. Because.

 

And...That's really all there is to it. Go grind for some ice.
