Dakki Posted December 19, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2013 Howdy, all! Asgarn here. I was just wondering if anybody had the same issue as me when taking screenshots or, even better, a solution? I shall write down what happens step-by-step below: 1: Turn on screen lock to hide UI (this makes little difference to the overall issue). 2: Press "Print Screen". 3: My entire PC freezes and my earphones start making the sound of a powerdrill in my ears until I turn off the computer by the tower. 4: Try again, rinse and repeat. As you can likely tell, this is frustrating to say the least as Asgarn is Hugh Jackman if Hugh were a Roegadyn. Not intentionally, he just ended up that way. Also, I need an avatar... My apologies if this is in the wrong section of the forums and feel free to flag me up if this is the case! Hope everyone is doing great and enjoying 2.1! Link to comment
Gharen Posted December 22, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 22, 2013 I'm not Sure what could be causing your machine to freeze like that short of a bad install of the game or perhaps your video card drivers crashing. Check your application and system logs in the event viewer and it may give you an indication as to what's wrong. One thing you can and should perhaps give a try is to start the game via Steam, (some people also use fraps) once you've done that you can configure steam to take screenshots and even save uncompressed copies to your hard drive. Dakki Posted December 22, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted December 22, 2013 Ooh, really? I honestly had no idea the game was on Steam! Although, I suppose it's a given, as they offer digital downloads. Out of curiosity, if you have already brought the game, is it possible to simply transfer it to steam, or would it require re-purchasing and downloading? I can certify that my PC is fine, though I suppose a bad install is possible. Link to comment
