The walls we erect to shield us from them hinders our ability to grow.

 

Embrace what you cannot change. Embrace the void of the mind. Embrace weakness.

Through knowledge of our faults shall we find the path to surpass our limitations.

 

We don't necessarily delve in the dark arts, but we study them.

We don't necessarily approve the Garlean empire, but we respect it.

We don't necessarily try to emulate the Gods with magitek, but we contemplate the possibility.

 

The people of Eorzea have grown complacent of their situation. Not aware of the frailty of this world, not even of their own, they wander smiling to their emptiness, to the void within. They are not whole.

 

Complacency, conformism and conservatism are only different expressions of fear. That fear veils and closes the mind. Seek answers beyond the mundane conceptions of good and evil as truth may be found in all things.

 

Let darkness envelop your soul. Let light irradiate your being.

 

These principles are filled of duality as this is a representation of life.

Embrace it.

would have been a great addition if it was still going. My character in fact is a garlean fugitive so would be an interesting take, since he still has faith in the empire
