OOC: This IC journal follows the adventures of my Miqo'te bard, Nashri'a, who has been researching Aetheric manipulation for a long time in order to search for a futile cure for the Tempered. Ever since his clan was captured by the Ixals and tempered by Garuda, Nashri'a went on a long journey in search for ways to undo the tempering of the Primals. This IC journal may contain violence, suggestive themes and mature subjects. It will contain all in-character thoughts, observations and details based on my RP as Nashri'a. for character development and insight purposes. Please -do not- meta-game information here. All journal entries are IC and strictly IC only. I am more than happy to arrange and plan RP plots with my characters, so feel free to PM me and discuss! Without further undue, I present you Nashri'a's journal entries! Feel free to leave comments here! --- Introduction of Character Name: Nashri’a Illhakyan Race: Miqo’te Class: Bard Age: 27 Height: 5’8 Occupation: Traveling minstrel, researcher. Place of Birth: Twelveswood. General Nashri’a Illhakyan was born to a clan of leatherworkers and poachers in Gridania. As a child, Nashri’a showed great talent and passion in music, which eventually led to his ambition to discover means to manipulate Aether through voice and sound waves. Despite his remarkable skill in singing and playing musical instruments, Nashri’a’s mother and his clan steered his musical direction away and pushed for him to become an archer, for sake of survival and assisting with the clan’s poaching business. Nashri’a grew up to become a jaded young marksman, competing amongst his sisters and clansmen. Tragedy struck his family and clan one day when the Primal Garuda and Ixal attacked during a hunting expedition, forcing young Nashri’a to flee. After the bloody incident, Nashri’a has never heard from his clan again. After one misfortunes after another, Nashri’a led a lonely life of poverty but he was independent and carefree. Rest of his past remained shrouded and kept under wraps. Currently, Nashri’a works as a traveling minstrel, playing music in taverns, troupes and entertainment establishments. From time to time, he indulges in hunts and poaching wild life, to sustain his lifestyle. Personality At first glance, Nashri’a presents himself as a man of amiable nature and charm; diplomatic and yearning to please the crowd. With his talent in music, Nashri’a enjoys entertaining people and seeking ways to bid for attention. Often thought to be flirtatious and daring, the Miqo’te does extrude a free-spirited, thrill-seeking demeanour. However, his principles and lifestyle strive on conflict, survival and ardent curiosities. Nashri’a is a man who is in love with the savage, the chaotic and the darkest nature of sentient beings. While Nashri’a isn’t an academic individual, he has shown love for knowledge and research, particularly in studies of aetheric manipulation. Regardless of his poverty, Nashri’a invests a lot into teaching himself and indulging into scholarly pursuits. To satiate his need for knowledge, he isn’t hesitant to commit heinous deeds to get what he wants. His dark, mischievous personality often lends into his flighty nature. Nashri’a isn’t an individual who can be seen as reliable or responsible. Link to comment
Nashri'a Posted December 24, 2013 Author Share #2 Posted December 24, 2013 [iC - Nashri'a] Seventh Umbra Era Year 5 - "New Era" As the new era ushers in, the survivors of the Calamity are slowly picking up with their lives. New songs sung, young adventurers take flight on an embarking journey for glory of heroism, lands prosper. As for myself? I have been travelling all around Eorzea on my two feet and a lute in my arms, only the song of Menphina to guide me. I wonder if it was futile as they all say -- To cure the Tempered, that is. The Primals feast upon adulation of their tempered followers and thrive with their prayers. I felt beyond the Echo's will, there is another way to undo the taint on the Tempered ones. I see the Aether around us as threads woven so intricately like tapestry and the Primal's influence are the dead knots that ruin it. We just have to untangle the knots and weave in new strings to repair the frame. There must be another way other than Death to save the Tempered ones. Poor Lly'ir. I have abandoned him for so long. When I met my brother again, I had expected him to cast me off for leaving him behind. But he did not and I am grateful for that. Link to comment
