Tadir Posted September 8, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 8, 2010 It's that time again. This time with words from Akihiko Yoshida, the art director. http://www.youtube.com/finalfantasyxiv#p/u/1/o8FP-MXk_uY Link to comment
Asyria Posted September 8, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 8, 2010 Not a whole lot of interesting content in this one, I must say... but the whole point about encouraging us to set out on adventures by ourselves might be related to the somewhat limited amount of hard-coded quests there seems to be. While there is a storyline, I feel there's also a part of sandboxyness in this game. Sandboxyness: Related to a sandbox type of game. ^^ Link to comment
Brynhilde Posted September 8, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 8, 2010 At 1:14, there is some pretty awesome artwork for monsters. In particular, a brutal-looking buffalo, and what looks to be a coeurl, as well as a golem. Link to comment

Nikolai Posted September 9, 2010 Share #7 Posted September 9, 2010 That too! I played a mithra in XI, and I remember I was always wishing I could select a voice so that my character could be more of an alto. Although we do now have options, miqo'te players got slapped in the face; their selections include: school girl, school girl, and school girl. What, you wanted to play something aside from a school girl? Tough luck. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed, and that was one of many things that pushed me to play a hyur this time around-- who, fortunately, do have some variety in their voice options. Nikolai Posted September 9, 2010 Share #9 Posted September 9, 2010 All things considered, the game truly is breathtaking. However, it could have been more breathtaking... you know? Link to comment
