I.  Basic info

  • Character - Jace Ossura
  • Linkshells - N/A

II.  RP Style

  • Amount of RP:  Light to medium.  I am a player of the game primarily, so Jace has traits and quirks that allow for the kind of behavior a bored player might have.

  • Views on RP Combat and Injuries:  Happens, though in a world of magic, and healing magic, don't be surprised if squickier injuries get better or don't stick around.  Given that my character is a rather huge investment of my time, perma-death is only an option if you plan on buying me a character refurbishment (Should that ever be added to the game as a paid option), and even then it likely isn't an option to begin with.

  • Views on IC romance: RP is RP.  Jace is a distant and cold Miqote, so don't expect much.

  • Views on Non-romantic RP: RP is RP.  I don't really plan on having family members or long lost friends.  I don't think I could devote that kind of time to another player.

  • Views on Chat Functions:  /Say is the only "IC always on" mode, that I break if I need to talk to other players.  Everything else is case by case.

  • Views on Lore:   I am not well versed in FF14 lore and history, however, regarding magic and how it works, I draw heavily from the way FF groups its magic and work it into how FF14 presents this.  In general, Jace is heavy into magical discussion.  Right or wrong isn't so much a concern as discussion, however.  As examples, though, Jace sees the following broad categories with certain traits.

  1. Black Magic - Dominion, Destruction.  Black Magic stems from the void, so to master it requires mastering a source of power far more vast than any individual.  One of the few ways to make her openly laugh is to claim to be a master Black Mage.
  2.  White Magic - Communion, Empathy.  White Magic stems from nature, so to master it is to master the self.  She views it with some disdain, as the Black's greatest enemy and threat is at its core a healing art, despite the kind of fury it can bring.
  3.  Gray Magic - Covers many schools, such as Arithemancy, Time Magic, and many non-direct spells that cannot be easily sorted into 'good/bad'.

III.  Other Info

I may have met some of you already, but I figure it's rather one sided if I am aware of your existence, but you are not of mine, especially given that Jace tends remain rather lowkey and just observe others.

So hello.

Perhaps we'll cross paths and be able to terribly enjoy one another's company.
