Hello,

 

This is Lance Aurion of Aetherius on Giglamesh. This is something I should have done sooner but I forgot while traversing the binding coil of bahamut. I'm a newbie kinda to the realm of role play. I used to be known as L'ance Aurion but re rolled as a highlander Hyur. I do hope I get to meet you all in due time as I would like to get into role play.

Hope you've been having fun running Coil, but I will never turn down a new roleplayer.  Please, feel free to find in-game, and likewise, I'll keep an eye out for you!  :3

Hello lance, as Edalyne said, welcome to the RPC,

 

Coil can be a lot of fun with a good group and combining it with a lot of the other PVE options things can certainly get pretty distracting, but its good to see you making a post here! I've got a few links i'd like to share, some of it might seem a bit obvious, maybe you've talked to the group mentioned before but here we go.

This welcome post outlines a few of the key recources hosted here at the RPC that you can see along the top bar, the wiki that hosts character profiles, the Linkshell Hall featuring all the communities that are willing to post, the Lantern and IC publication and more.

 

If you'd like to brush up on your RP skill but don't know where to start, the RP handbook by Eva is a great place to start.

The spoilers tag at the top hides a index of all the major points covered so you can see what areas might interest you in particular or just skim the whole thing. A point is made to look at roleplaying from a few different perspectives, so things you might already know can possibly be seen in a new light.

 

But onto the community of Gilgamesh! while I don't feel comfortable recommending any IC groups there [partly as I don't play there much , and also because "roleplay" is such a varied idea that what fits one won't fit another.] I do have an OOC group I would like to recommend.

"The Coalition" is an OOC hub for roleplayers of all stripes and a great way to get your foot in the door as far as meeting the community goes. I think this can be particularly helpful in finding hot spots or other people in your area.

 

Hopefully I haven't bored you, if you feel like it I really encourage jumping into the forums and seeing if there isn't an ongoing discussion that might pique your interest. As always feel free to ask any questions, voice any concerns, and make some comments, Thaliak knows there are plenty out there willing to lend a hand or give an opinion.
