Aldotsk Posted March 22, 2014 Author Share #2 Posted March 22, 2014 “Same dream again.” Said Anelia waking up from her nightmares, where she kept dreaming about trail of bloods flowing down on her family gravestone. She covered her face and rubbed it few times to regain her conscience. Was it a coincidence? She thought, and then stared at the ceiling for a long time. “Anelia, you there?” said the distant voice calling from Anelia’s door. There were couple of knocks, and then it stopped. Anelia wears her robe, and walks to the door to open it. There was Ellaria who was standing in her alchemist robes. Ellaria has been Anelia’s childhood friend ever since she can remember. When Anelia was an orphan, she met Ellaria while running away from the guards by sneaking into Ul’dahn royal library. Ellaria is a very intelligent Lalafell who is very talented in medicines, and culinary, yet conjurer and thaumaturgy. “What brings you here, Ellaria? Aren’t you always busy with your patients?” Anelia asked in a very low tone, looking down at Ellaria. Ellaria shrugged a bit and pushes the door forcefully to get inside. She motioned Anelia to close the door and lock it, and then gives a grave look at Anelia. Anelia closed the door and awaits her friend to answer the question. “Tolley’s body came in,” said Ellaria, while throwing a small packet on the floor. “Guess what happened to half of his body.” Anelia sighed and looked straight at Ellaria, knowing the answer. “Ashtara, right?” Ellaria nodded to answer Anelia’s question. “Your squad member’s been down to seven, if I am right.” Said Ellaria, looking at Anelia’s small handbook of list filled with her squad members’ names. Anelia clenches her fist tightly and then slams it on the table. She closed her eyes unsure of what to do at this point. “It’s been two months that I’ve been hunting them down… and I still can’t find the one who is in charge of Ashtara.” Anelia responded, and then started to get changed into her regular armor gears. “What are you going to do?” Ellaria asked. Anelia shook her head once then turned around to look at Ellaria. She finished strapping her greaves and gauntlets, then sighed once. “I am not going to stop pursuing this suspect… even if it means of losing my men. Even if I stopped, the killing by the syndicates won’t stop.” Ellaria scratched her head and thinks a bit to what Anelia said; then snapped her finger the moment she had an idea. “Let’s contact your sister, Anelia.” Anelia narrowed her eyes at Ellaria annoyingly while she was finishing strapping her chest armor. “Fiore? Why her?” Anelia asked. “Because she is another doctor that can help me.” Ellaria responded. Anelia shook her head, as a ‘no’ type of response. “I’d rather not bring my sister into this. She’s busy in Gridania.” Said Anelia. Ellaria scratched her head a bit then laughs nervously “I am sorry, Anelia. I… “ Ellaria sighed “I’ve asked Fiore to come here. She’ll be on her way soon.” Anelia’s face gets flustered red, and grabs Ellaria’s collar by lifting her up to her face. “You what!? How can you ask my sister to be involved in this mess!?” Ellaria struggled, and kept slapping Anelia’s gauntlet trying to resist from being lifted. “Wait! Fiore is the only one who’s good at looking at patient and identifying the symptom and cure! I am only good at curing and making medicines! I need her help!” Anelia angrily stared at Ellaria and grabbed the collar tighter. “You could HAVE asked me too. You knew that I learned the same studies like Fiore. She’s the only sister I have!” said Anelia, then Ellaria shook her head violently “She volunteered! Just let me go!” Ellaria shouted, gasping for breath while being in pain. Anelia threw Ellaria down on the floor, and ends up grabbing her two swords and her shield, preparing to head out. “Where are you going?” Ellaria asked, while still gagging and coughing from her loosened collar. Anelia looked down at Ellaria while heading to the door, and shrugged lightly. “I don’t know. Perhaps I’ll go to see my sister, or find some kind of source to find this scum, and save my men and people from terrible disease." said Anelia while closing her door leaving Ellaria behind. Anelia prepared to make her small stop at Quicksands. Anelia walked to Momodi and passed her gils to her. "Momodi, the usual. Also a bit of Drybone mead in a different cup." She walked to one of the tables and sat down on the chair. She placed her hand to her forehead to ease her headache, leaving with a small sigh. Link to comment
