Asytra Posted September 21, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 21, 2010 So the Lodestone is online. It actually looks really REALLY helpful. It even has info about the game that I haven't seen covered on the fansites. Another plus is that it has crafting recipes from 1-30. http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/pl/index.html Oh and Hardware Cursor in the retail client is confirmed Link to comment
Gavriel Posted September 21, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 21, 2010 YAY! And now for a totally off-topic question... I see on the Lodestone site that servers will be going up tonight for those of us who have purchased the CE. How does SE know that I've pre-ordered my copy from Amazon? Will retailers be sending out an email with access codes? Bleck. I feel rather stupid... Link to comment
Asytra Posted September 21, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted September 21, 2010 Yeah... that whole thing makes me wonder if I should make a trip to Wal-Mart tonight and cross my fingers they have a copy. Of course I COULD just be a responsible adult and wait until mine comes tomorrow. But what fun is that? :moogle: As for the 8pm EST thing... I'm thinking that's basically midnight the 22nd in Japan. Having such a staggered release could be a good or bad thing for us. We won't really no until tomorrow comes and all the NA players start registering copies. EDIT: Yeah, that's what it is... as of this posting its 1:39am on the 22nd in Japan. Link to comment

Noelle Posted September 21, 2010 Share #6 Posted September 21, 2010 Just checked, mine was set to off. I advise everyone to check, though I'm sure they would anyway. Link to comment

How strange, mine was on. == I'm so OCD about setting up a game before playing it I ALWAYS go through the graphic and other setups first. It annoys me greatly when games don't let you do this. (I'm looking at YOU City of Heroes!) Link to comment
Folken Posted September 22, 2010 Share #8 Posted September 22, 2010 A real shame they didn't deliver on those new hairstyles though. Guess it'll be a little while before those make it into the game. Link to comment

No apparent new zones, no new options in character creation. Link to comment
Satisiun Posted September 22, 2010 Share #11 Posted September 22, 2010 So far' date=' the game is pretty much exactly what it was in Open Beta. No apparent new zones, no new options in character creation.[/quote'] Hm. I would presume there is at least the addition of the Dravania region (west of Ishgard), and then maybe the Gyn Abania region where the ruins of Ala Mhigo (east of The Black Shroud/Gridania) are. It would seem silly to not have the entirety of the beginning continent available for exploration. Link to comment

Neither did WoW. Link to comment

Fair enough. I sometimes forget that us non-Japanese players came in alongside Rise of the Zilart. So even excusing Elshimo and Kuzotz not being in (further continents than Mindartia and Quon were to each other), there was main continent areas that were added only then, such as Tu'Lia, Li'Telor, and Vollbow. Oh well, I guess. Link to comment
Satisiun Posted September 22, 2010 Share #14 Posted September 22, 2010 Normally not one to double post, but thought I'd throw out a bit of numeric statistics a few hours in to release thanks to the wonders of Lodestone, and the search function. Keep in mind this is totally unscientific. This was basically just flipping through every server and not picking a specific name or job class to search for, ensuring maximum(?) search results. Secondly, it appears that search results might only go up to 1,000. I figured that while all but one server had not hit that cap yet, I'd show how things seem to be panning out. With that said ... Numbers pulled between 2:33 am and 2:37 am EST: Lindblum - 1,000+ Selbina - 956 Figaro - 910 Gysahl - 903 Cornelia - 884 Mysidia - 835 Besaid - 825 Trabia - 731 Wutai - 525 Istory - 519 Rabanastre - 421 Kashuan - 418 Palamecia - 389 Melmond - 347 Bodhum - 344 Saronia - 339 Fabul - 319 Edit: And because I am that *expletive* bored, the numbers between 3:00 am and 3:04 am EST, behind the spoiler to save space and avoid a "long post is long". Last time I'm doing it since Selbina will likely crack 1,000 soon, anyway: Lindblum - 1,000+ (again; duh) Selbina - 996 Cornelia - 928 Figaro - 923 Gysahl - 913 Besaid - 881 Mysidia - 850 Trabia - 787 Wutai - 562 Istory - 562 Rabanastre - 460 Kashuan - 448 Palamecia - 409 Bodhum - 374 Melmond - 366 Saronia - 366 Fabul - 350 Link to comment
