The Office (open) (OOC welcome)

Recommended Posts

((This thread is where Inessa will accept any contract's given to her ICly while she is in her office, right outside of the Quicksand. For more info about the contract's, look at this link here.))

The Buzz of the passing crowd of people outside could be heard since the office was located right next to the entrance of the city. The location, while noisy, was ideal to observe the coming's and going's of individual's from the main gates. Having this office here would prove valuable to her in her line of work.

Inessa sat at her desk, reading her copy of the Tonberry. With the paper in her right hand, she would sit back while drinking her coffee which was in her left hand. It was black. Bitter but Inessa liked the taste. She developed it during her time in the Thanalan, though she doesn't know what drove her to start taking a liking to Coffee in the first place. She use to abhor the substance. Now she drinks it as if it was a daily ritual. it did not matter either way in the end. It did help keep her on edge and awake.

It was here though that she would await for potential client's when she was bored. Inessa wasn't about to be held down by a desk job but though it would be a nice place to come and relax from the Chaos of the city life.

Evangeline strolls in, looking slightly apprehensive, could one truly trust a private investigator? Squaring her shoulders she continued on though, clearing her throat and attempting to gain the attention of the owned, "Excuse me miss...?"

"I heard this is an office for ordering investigations?"

Evangeline hurries up to the desk, "I have a special request. I need to be assured that my status as your employer remains secret."

"I have been approached by an organization on a very sensitive matter. However I know almost nothing about them. I do not like going into a situation blind."

"I would like for you to find out more about them, if possible. Does that sound like a task you could take on?"[/align]

Inessa quietly fold's her newspaper and set's it down on the desk, then reaching for her coffee cup again. She looks to the Elezen woman and says.

"I can look into it, but I need detail's, and then there is the matter of payment."

Inessa would say with a straight face as she takes a sip out of her cup of coffee after finishing her sentence.

"The first thing I must know is the group in question. Second is everything you know about them. I may know of the group you are in contact with, but it never hurt's to know what others know on the matter."

Evangeline brightens, "Ah, that would help things. They are known as the Night Blades, I have only had contact with one, a Siben Farnesworth. Their headquarters is in Gridania, and they need large quantities of supplies secretly. Some of their requests are very suspicious indeed."

"I of course would not be supplying them directly, Otto Vann and his contacts would see to that, but I am concerned about how they may be used."

"There is precious little information on these Night Blades, and what I can find is not flattering."

"As for payment..." Evangeline shrugs, "Name your price, as long as it is reasonable we should not have an issue. Myself and my organization have considerable funds at our disposal."

Inessa takes a small piece of paper and a feathered pen from the top of her desk and begins writing, then slides the paper forward to the Elezen Lady as soon as she write's out the important detail's and sign's different part's of the contract.

"You can pay me later. I already have the information on hand."

On the paper is a waver/disclaimer of sort's. Along with a sum written at the bottom. Fifty thousand gil.

Evangeline looks down at the paper and blanches slightly, "Fifty thousand? That seems rather high." She looks around the office, "Though if you can get results, I would pay it gladly. I assume you know, I don't plan to pay for failure."

"Very well, how long before you think you'll have something for me? I understand this may take some time."

She finishes scanning the paper, "Everything looks in order, do you have a pen?"

Inessa slides over Eva a feathered pen with a small ink pot that it's placed in.

"The information is already present. We can speak of it now or later. It's of no consequence to me, but I already have an idea of what they want with the request of good's. . . or at least have an idea of what they want. There are many ways to look at how they want this, but this explanation should be saved for another time. One where you have ample time to provide to the matter if you so wish. . . though as for the matter of the price, this information is not exactly. . . how should I say this. . . easy to divulge. Not to mention that I am the best investigator I know of, and this information is not easy to come by. If that is all, or you have no additional requests, you may sign this form and be on you're way if you so wish. We can meet at a later date if you so choose."

Aya's approach was heralded, as it so usually is, by the sound of high heels and the slight jingle of jewelry.  She deftly pushed the front door open and took a few steps in before coming to a sudden stop.  Despite the slight chill, the tall blonde wore a short skirt, to match the billowy Thanalan-styled blouse, with its laces hanging loosely open to reveal the tiny top beneath.  She appeared fully ready for an afternoon on the town, long locks falling over shoulders, carmine-red lips, and gentle touches of makeup.

Large blue eyes blinked slowly as she glanced around with a look of utter confusion.

"Oh..." she let out with a light breath as she laid eyes upon Lady Evangeline.  She spoke with her light, accented voice with just a hint of dazed bashfulness,  "I thought this was a new tea house...?  Its not?"

Evangeline takes the quill and signs the paper, "Very good. I'll wait for you to contact me."

She turns, then her eyes widen as she sees the server from the Quicksand. "Ah... Aya is it?" The Elezen smiles, "This not a Tea House, as far as I know. Which is a shame, for it seems I have missed an opportunity to share tea with one so charming."

"Ms Inessa here runs a private investigation service. Though I was just on my way out, if you'd like to be escorted to a tea house..."

Aya looks around, seeming to take in the office, "Oh..."

Looking back to Eva and Inessa with a bright smile, "So that's what this is!"

She looks back to Eva after the offer, a slight sheepishness to her little smile, "Yes, lets!  That sounds wonderfully fun!"

"Nice to meet you Madam Investigator!" She lifted her right hand, offering a wave of her fingers to Inessa.

Evangeline grins, "Excellent, I know a little place on Emerald Lane. I'll be outside, in case you /do/ need Inessa's services."

She walks towards the door, "Anything specific about what they need the goods for would be helpful!"

She heads outside.

((Is assuming that this next series of posts take place at a later date since its been a while))

Inessa sits there, reading the daily tonberry as usual, drinking her black coffee at regular intervals while being leaned back into her chair, with her feet propped up on the desk. At the sound of hearing someone at the door however, she drops her feet down back to the ground and sits back up into the chair.

"Come in." Inessa says, putting her cup of coffee back on the desk and folding up her newspaper and placing it right next to the Coffee.

(Sounds good!  I wasn't sure if this was the right place or not)

Rhoe slowly steps in giving the woman behind the desk a short but respectful bow before speaking up. "Ello, Mah nahme es Rhoe Molkot, doh ah tink weh've meht befohre ah dono eff weh've beehn prahpalee intrahduhced." She smiles softly trying not to come off as confrontational. "Baht ah, ah've goht ah mehssahge fer yuh frahm Ouse Valadis, Laydee Barbarccia Valadis wud lihke tah ave ah meetin wit chu at er Manah ef yuh've gaht tihme?"
