Scarlet Feather

Hey there! I'm a pretty experienced RPer looking to expand my circle of contacts for both my main character and my alt. I've been RPing in FFXIV on Balmung for a while now, but recently thought it'd be good to get to know and interact with more of the folks out and about, especially as both Scarlet Feather (the Roe) and Yaya Daisho (the Raen) are much more concrete and solid as characters, and much more developed than they were before. Whilst my favourite method is multipara, i'm open to all sorts of RP formats. However you find it most comfortable to play, i'm not going to judge! Long term and short term are good, and i'm open for friends, enemies, rivals, customers and clients for both of them. So, this is Scarlet Feather. She's a Hellsguard Roegadyn, ex-Maelstrom merc for hire with a love for justice, but not in any sort of black and white manner. Her prior experience has left her with some minor trust issues, but she's a generally very warm hearted and loyal individual. She's focused, driven and quick to jump in to help in all sorts of scenarios, with her own secrets and issues kept to heart. She's a rough and tumble sort overall. As a fighter, she's an up close and personal sort who is always keen to spar with others. Lance is her primary, with swordsmanship one of her other skills to hand. She has a rough control of aetherical means, but it is something she struggles with beyond rudimentary force, to benefit and deficit. Because I've been RPing with her for a long time now i've already made her a wiki page. Feel free to browse it at your leisure! Open to: Friendships, job situations, rivalries, enemies, old allies...all sorts of folks who'll push her forward, or hold her back. Role-wise she's able to get on with any kind of person from any walk of life, but she's not exactly the kind to waltz into a fine dining scenario, if that makes sense. Fellow soldiers, ne'er do wells looking for a challenger, and other roles like that would be amazing - but anyone is welcomed! On the other side of the spectrum... Here's Yaya Daisho. She's a Raen Au Ra, an ex-pat from Sui-no-Sato with a background in Geomancy and a love of brewing and distilling. She's travelled about Eorzea for a fair while in her little caravan containing her equipment and gathered goods, trading spirits and alcohol with those around the realm and trying to make sense of the myriad of cultures about. Recently she's found employment with an FC as their bartender, but she's still open to trading and serving other venues with her own eccentric style despite this. Yaya is a gentle soul with a keenness to ensure that one's luck be always in the right favour for the individual, and that oddness reflects in her mannerisms. She gets very close to what she looks at, can ramble off topic from some subject matters, but is also a good listener and a fantastic confidant; nothing she is told spreads to another's ears unless they ask. Because of this she can make a good friend and comforter to the right kind of person. Open to: Friends, business partners, venue owners, etc., essentially all sorts. Yaya is a much newer character, but one i've loved playing so far. I'll leave it at this, but if anyone is interested with interacting with either of my girls, please feel free to reach out! Hey there everyone. I'm called Paloma, and whilst i've been RPing around on the game for a bit now I figured it'd be a good time to spread my wings and engage a little more with the community. I've lurked a little around this site to try and get the hang of things - it's been a while since i've used forums - and I think i'm about ready to throw myself into it again. I've been RPing for years before FFXIV and have a myriad of styles and universes i've done it in, as well as formats. MMO RP is still a novel thing to me, but one i'm enjoying! My main character is Scarlet Feather, a Hellsguard Roegadyn with a justice streak, and my newer side character is a bartender/distiller named Yaya Daisho, a Raen Au Ra. I look forward to talking with you lot and having some good times ahead!

I. Basic Info Characters:Scarlet Feather and Yaya Daisho Primary character:Scarlet Feather Linkshells:FC and a few non-RP ones Primary RP linkshell: N/A II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I'm primarily a multipara sort of person, so heavy to medium is my comfy ground depending on the type of events unfolding. I'm happy to RP with anyone of any length, and am a patient sort when it comes to replies. All I ask is for the same courtesy! Views on RP combat and injuries: Yes. Okay, a little more detail. I'm not shy to combat or injuries on either of my characters, though Scarlet is much more my girl for fights. Because of this, i'm happy to get injuries and sustain major wounds, but I believe the players should have the right to automoty over their characters, and so I will also respect the level of injury you want to sustain. A talk beforehand can help us figure out the level, even if it's just a brief /tell. I enjoy combat from both training and spars to all out brawls, both realistically grounded and over the top, so feel free to go wild depending on the circumstance. As a whole I prefer to freeform combat, but if you feel more comfortable using /random that's fine! I'd much rather keep it to a simple "who rolls higher" if we do so, though. Views on IC romance: I'm not averse to it, but it is very much something that would have to be a slow burn. Scarlet as a character is not in the headspace for romance, a comrade-in-arms would suit her better. Having said that, this could evolve over time in the right circumstances, but it is not my primary, or even secondary, focus for the character. Yaya is a little more receptive, but again it is not my primary focus. Additionally, I would prefer to know a player well first before beginning this due to bad prior experiences where things were taken OOC. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I am always happy to bring more people into the connections of my characters! With their families it is something of a complicated matter, and so I would need to trust the player well before going ahead with it, but old comrades from the Grand Company days or the merc work after for Scarlet, or trade partners and customers for Yaya, are very much welcomed, be they positively or negatively inclined. Views on lore: The lore makes a fantastic groundwork for people to weave their stories in. It helps support abilities, events and small details in character's lives that I find important to understand and appreciate. However, I also understand that some areas of lore are very lacking, and creative liberty is always fine with me. As long as it does not outright break lore, i'm a'ok with it. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): /shout is OOC, /say can be OOC unless my RP tag is on or I surround text ((with this)). /yell and /em are always IC if the tag is on, and linkshells can be IC or OOC depending on use.
