I love what this displays about people's characters and their play style. I personally can't get this out of my head when I'm playing Spei'li, although it's not a Kylie Minogue song. 4mFw9EFRyX8

This is a nit-picky question, so please put on your grammar hat or take a pass! Typically to make something possessive you add an 's to the of the word. I.e.- Mark's sandwich, the candy's sweetness. But with the names of male Keepers of the Moon having an apostrophe near the end of their name already, it begins to look silly and read unclearly, defeating the purpose of punctuation. I.e.- My character's name is Spei'li Nmolo. So something that belonged to Spei'li would be Spei'li's object. Since I'm doing a lot of character writing until the game comes back online, I was wondering if anyone else had run into this, what their solution is, and if there are similar cases/solutions in RL phrases and situations that you can quote from. I'm thinking of going with nixing the 2nd apostrophe, since there will rarely if ever be more than one Spei'li. So, instead of Spei'li's object, it would be "Spei'lis object."

Views on RP combat and injuries: A player should always decide when his/her character gets seriously injured, unless previously warned by an event host that it may happen. For combat, if no "finale" was decided upon beforehand and there is no moderator, you can't force what happens to the other players (no "I stabbed you and you bleed to death and die, tada"-ing) Views on IC romance: Very similar to my views on RL romance. It's fun and involving, but always respect other player's boundaries, don't harass, and keep sticky business to private channels. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): They can be restrictive but, when pulled off successfully, can add to the RP. Just remember to have fun and not get all Freudian on the community! Views on lore: I like to stay within lore as much as possible. I like playing w/people from all levels of game experience, so if someone is lore-breaking, kindly hint them OOC. If it persists and is immersion-breaking, I'd likely leave. I like making IC out of game references with a Hydaelyn twist for fun , but don't pretend that my character knows the connection. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): This varies by situation, especially with number of people. If I'm in a large group, I don't like to spam with emotes. Come and show us your artistic and crafty talents. This year's theme is "Wildlife of Eorzea". Everyone is welcome, even those not artistically inclined. Come have some fun, socialize, and express yourself! All proceeds will be donated to the CTPA Wildlife Preservation Fund. LOCATION: Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre, Gridania. Provided supplies include: paint and small canvases, clay, wood and carving tools, or small stones and chisels. You are also welcome to bring your own supplies for other mediums. Agreed. I think this is a good story to start out with. I've always felt that what your character has done is less interesting than why and how they did it. If you really develop the feelings your character has towards the empire, it can be a strong jumping board.

Hi all, I'm just getting started on the site. My name is speitzer and I am the co-founder of the CTPA linkshell. In an attempt to not reinvent the wheel... --MMORPG background I've been gaming since my toddler fingers could work a keyboard connected to DOS, but I just started playing MMOs about a year ago. I've played in The Secret World, Aion, GW2, Tera, and WoW. I tend to run as a tank or DD. --RP experience I've role-played before mainly using table tops, but did get some MMORP expee in GW2. I've had a hard time immersing myself in MMOs before, but so far I am enjoying role-playing in FFXIV, which. I. love. --Character ideas/info My main character, Spei'li Nmolo, is an adventurous and kind dork. I'm leaning towards running as a LNC/DRG. --How did you learn about the coalition? My friendly friend plutosams suggested it to me. --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? Medium. I like to get completely immersed, but sometimes still enjoy playing through game content without RPing, and occasionally RPing on a more farcical level (think Douglas Adams). --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I live in the NW U.S., work a full-time job, have a family of 2, and enjoy table tops.
