@Ilwe'ran I don't mind large/multiple commissions at all. I'll take them all this batch. I'm just not sure what a tabar is. lol. How old did you want the kids to be in the head shots as well? Babies, kids, infants, toddlers? Also, thank you for thinking I should raise my prices <3 What would you think would be a fair price? So far the quote for your commissions would be about: Headshot 1; 18k Headshot 2; 18k Fullbody Couple; 65k Fair enough prices for you? If so, go ahead and mail half of the total ( 50.5k gil) to Cherishen Weiss. Let me know when you've done it. @Titor Sure I can do a half body for Titor. Was there any pose or emotion that you wanted to the image? For just a plain half body without anything specific the quote stands at at about: 25k. If you're agreed to that go ahead and send half of the total ( 12.5k) to Cherishen Weiss. Let me know when you've done that! @Ha'uruh Nunh Sure, I don't mind reserving a head shot piece for you! Please update me when you've got everything together! I'll hold the spot for a week. @Dogberry No problem Dogberry. I'll need a few screenshots of your character before I can start or give you a more accurate quote. But I'm thinking on the higher side probably. 45k - 50k most likely.

RP'd in Skype. K'yohko shifted his limbs as K'zhumi asked him, allowing the healer to do her work in feeling it. There was some pain when she pressed too hard along the underside, but otherwise it was healed. He rolled his shoulder as she questioned him before tensing the muscle to test its strength. "Some pain deep beneath my arm, but fine others. Feels a little weaker than before, but not much." He answered gruffly. K'zhumi nods in satisfaction, "Not much more I can do for it. Just needs time and exercise. Be sure to stretch it and use those muscles some every day." K'yohko gave another nod and shifted to leave his arm in his lap again. "Thank you for your hard work K'zhumi... I apologize that I caused you so much grief." A faint smile twitches Zhumi's lips, "If you want I can give you the lecture you gave me when I wandered off to gather herbs alone and got hurt. But I suspect you can give yourself that speech." K'yohko found a small smile twitching to his own lips and he nodded his head, humbled by her. "I would have earned such a lecture by my actions." Zhumi actually finds a proper smile on her lips, "Well if you realize you deserve one than you don't really need one after all." she starts to gather her things, "Get a good feed tonight so you'll be ready to put that foolish Tia in his place should he be stupid enough to try a challenge." K'yohko's lips twitched into another smile, something earnest. He gave K'zhumi a small nod of his head and stood to help her gather her things. "K'zhumi... have you ever thought of having a child?" he asked lightly, handing her over some of her things. She stares at him for several moments, then her eyes widen and she blushes faintly. "I suppose I have, I'm sure I will, sometime." she stumbles over her words. "K'takka thinks now would be a good time." K'yohko returned, glancing up to catch her eyes with his own stormy violent orbs. "This new land is fertile. Plenty of game and good weather. Good trade to the north...." K'zhumi looks nonplussed, "Now? But the hunt, what if someone gets injured?" K'yohko shook his head faintly. "Our huntresses are excellent. They will not be so easily hurt. K'takka is sure that all will be well." She tilts her head studying K'yohko, "Perhaps it would be well to have a daughter to pass my shaman skills to." "It would be an honor if I could provide you with that daughter, K'zhumi." K'yohko smiled warmly to the shaman. It could almost be a strange sight to see the Nunh smile so genuinely, or much less, smile at all for longer than a twitch. When he did not look so serious and stoic, he was almost handsome. Zhumi smiles, lowering her lashes, almost flirting, "Perhaps it could be a celebration of our new home?" K'yohko gave a short not of his head, setting down what things of K'zhumi's that he held and shifted to take her hand instead. Never would he force her hand if she did not want it, but he aimed to take it and hold it gently between his own rough fingers. She allows him to take her hand, her ears lowering shyly. Unsure what to do. K'yohko continued to smile warmly to K'zhumi as she allowed him her hand. He gently pulled her closer, bringing his head towards her face, gently leaning in to kiss the corner of her lips. "If there is anything you desire, or wish me to stop, you need only say the word and I will abide by it..." *ahem* Nothing to read here people. K'zhumi stretches sensually, her head laying on K'yohko's chest. Her bare skin gleams in what moonlight filters into the tent. Her tail is swishing lazily and a smile stretches across her face. K'yohko warmly rested his hands around K'zhumi's thin waist, shifting his head to nuzzle K'zhumi's neck affectionately. She leans into his touch, rolling onto her side to nestle up against him, resting her head on his shoulder. K'yohko lightly kissed at her jawline, shifting his tail to wrap around her leg. "Was it well, Zhumi? It has been some time, I profess, since I have engaged in such a thing..." K'zhumi smiles shyly, "It was my first. But it was gently done and I am well pleased." she blushes. K'yohko beamed slightly, kissing at her cheek this time instead. "I am pleased as well then. I hope this union will give us a child as well." he nodded faintly and nuzzled her neck again. "I would be pleased to keep your company again in any manner K'zhumi." She smiles, "The timing was good and this new land does indeed seem welcoming. Perhaps we will. For now I should return to my tent. Your youngest daughter is out with the hunt, her inexperience may be a hindrance." "Tahj is with the hunt?" K'yohko blinked faintly, feeling a small swelling of pride in his chest for his youngest daughter. "Tahj is strong. She will be alright. The huntresses will look after her well." He gave a small nod and released his grip on K'zhumi so she might move if she desired to. "We should not tardy however. The huntresses shouldn't be gone too much longer." Zhumi stands, gathering her robes around her but not putting them on, she picks up her satchel and tomes and looks back with a smile, before slipping out of the tent quietly. K'yohko stood with K'zhumi, smiling back gently at her. He stepped out lightly as she left, giving a soft wave before re-entering his tent and pulling back on his clothing.
-
K'yohko gingerly set aside his remaining bandages and shifted closer towards K'zhumi so she might better examine his arm. The skin was all but healed at this point, and only the telling blotched tones of his flesh remained of what had been his wound. "It is different." K'yohko replied quietly, matter of factly. He breathed out heavily, his brow faintly furrowing. He realized that was perhaps the most obvious statement he'd ever made but, his options about their new home were still forming. He couldn't say much else about it yet. K'iara could have killed her brother, but instead she would kill the beast she was riding on top of. Her ears flicked up, hearing her kin move about behind her. She would need to move for any of their arrows to hit a better spot on the beast. K'iara grasped at the beast's main, digging her fingers into its dirty coat and dragging herself up the beast's thrashing body. But the coat proved not to be as sturdy as she had thought, and it broke in her fingers, sending K'iara tumbling to the ground. With a heavy thud, K'iara knew better than to remain still when she'd hit the floor. She rolled herself away rapidly, getting away from the beast's crushing hooves and scrambling to her feet, axe in hand. K'luha suppressed a small laugh at the mention of 'Azymea's Will'. Although she suppressed her laughter, she couldn't suppress the smile the crept onto her face as K'ile stepped forward, reaching to take a hand. She in turn, reached forward as well, grasped it loosely to lead him away from the oppressive smell of the salt and meat. If she could have her way, she would have dragged him all the way out to the edge of camp, but leading him to the edge of her tent would be good enough. K'luha lightly gripped K'ile's hand a bit harder as they stopped walking, narrowing her gaze at the floor before she finally found the strength to look back up at K'ile's eyes. "K'yohko thinks I should mate with him tonight. He thinks I should try to have another kit. That this one would be different." K'luha tried to hold K'ile's gaze. Her expression seemed both yearning and confused. "I think he might be right that trying once more could be... a good thing." K'luha reached her free hand back to rub at her ears. "But... I'd want it to be yours. Not his. It would... be asking too much... if I asked for something like that tonight, wouldn't it?" K'luha tried to catch his gaze once more. She found it difficult not to run or look away, but at the same time she felt it was important to look at K'ile when she spoke about this.
-
K'luha's small form slipped through camp with minor difficulties. Despite the permanent limp, she made quick progress through the more difficult terrain to the center of tent. The stink of salted cooking meat assaulted her senses the closer she got. K'luha wasn't sure why it smelt so foul to her, perhaps it was the salt. Yes, that was probably it, she reasoned with herself. The meat smelt like someone was pouring salt on it. Luha tugged her shirt up, exposing her tummy so she could cover her face with the fabric. At least the fires revealed the mop of red hair she was looking forward. K'luha shuffled forward from the shadows of the fire, barely exposing her sorry form to the light. Her eyes strayed to her grandmother for a moment, before reaffixing to K'ile with purpose. For once in the last few weeks, her form seemed strengthened with purpose. It invigorated her form, livened her face, and brightened her eyes. "K'ile..." K'luha called out softly, her voice muffled by the fabric. Her eyes narrowed somewhat at Xha'li for a moment. "Are you trying to kill us with all that salt? Smells like K'yohko's cooking, Azyema..." Luha mumbled quietly to herself before limping forward again, closing what distance she could between herself and the Tia. "K'ile, we need to talk... " her eyes darted from Xha'li to K'deiki, and then once more back to K'ile. "Privately." K'yohko watched the fabric wave shut, closing out the noise and thicken smell of cooking meat. He would not admit it to himself, much less another, but his body ached for the food that would eaten. Whatever portions of food he could give to others during the famine, he had given. It would be pleasurable to finally allow himself to eat to satisfaction. Like K'yohko, his tent was plain and quiet. There was nothing there that was unneeded, or unused. A bed roll, two blankets, a change of clothing, a collection of herbs and soapweed, and of course his weapons. Everything was neatly tucked away, nothing even an inch out of place. The Nuhn gave a brief nod to K'zhumi and motioned for her to set next to him. He reached over to his arm and gently untied what small bandaging was left about it.
-
K'yohko breathed out slowly. He could feel K'zhumi's approach, stepping awkwardly through the dirt and grass. It felt so different than the warm sands of the Sagoli. It was... uncomfortable. But K'yohko was trying to make his peace with it all. "K'zhumi." he called out breathlessly. He opened his eyes, still a stormy violet color as they ever were and motioned for her to enter. "Close the flap as you enter." His instructions were brief, and more of a request than a real instruction. K'iara nodded back at K'tahjha, her body slinking down naturally and following only a pace or two behind Tahj. Her burning blue eyes following every small movement of her girl's, keeping up with her easily and surveying the lands. For such a young and inexperienced hunter, K'iara was mildly impressed at her ability to move quietly. She was not silent as K'iara was, but she was quiet and quick. That was the most important thing. They moved swiftly and silently, all of the huntresses, through their new homeland. The awkward terrain and strange dirt only served to slow them down shortly. K'iara found the dirt over in this area turned to mostly mud due to recent rains, and shortly found herself covered in more mud than she liked. It was a strange sensation, as she had never seen or been in mud before. But it as an unimportant sensation for the time. Her focus remained on the hunt, and on Tahj leading them to the hunting grounds. As they rounded up towards the last hill, K'iara sniffed the air gently. She could smell K'nhali, but the woman was at the top of the hill like a huntress ought to be. There was another smell besides the overwhelming mud and the scent of prey. K'rahto? What was that useless boy doing her? K'iara narrowed her gaze and motioned for the huntresses to pause just behind the crest of the hill. K'iara clambered to the top of it herself and peered over its edge. First, she noticed the large grazing heard. All the animals seemed thick and juicy with delicious meat. And their furs were thick and heavy. Perfect for keeping warm. Her ears perked up lightly. She desired a blanket made of their furs foremost. But mostly, the elders would appreciate something so warm in their strange new weather. But there was something more alarming to be noticed, and that was her foolish younger brother pinning K'nahli to the floor. A thick angry rage boiled through her blood and she pushed her hand down to her axe. There was no time for their idiocy. She snapped her head back to the others and motioned them silently forward. She pointed out the largest bull she could that linger on the edge of herd somewhat near K'nahli and K'rahto. "On my signal." K'iara muttered angrily, clambering over the edge of the hill and carefully stalking down it towards K'nahli and K'rahto. She sidled down as close as she could, her movement fluid and never ceasing. Her hand reach out to grab at the back of K'rahto's neck, moving sharply behind she could make a motion to throw his entire body at their prey. She didn't care if he ran away or if he fell short of the target, she would deal with him more firmly later. She only waited another brief moment before roaring loudly, lion-like, and springing forward to jump on the back of the beast, digging her hatchet into its back. K'iara held onto her hatchet, almost riding the beast like some sort of chocobo. The other huntresses well knew the routine now. Those with bows pushed forward to the edge of the cliff and rain arrows down. K'iara twisted herself to the side of the beast who now raged and bucket violently in pain. Arrows dug into its soft flesh easily, but its thick coat made it hard for some of the arrows to bite into flesh. Its thick coat was indeed, so thick, that even the arrows that bit into the flesh fell out shortly after.
-
K'yohko was easy to find. He lingered within his tent, the fabric serving as a door tacked lightly open. He had hoped he speak with K'ile, but it seemed that K'ile would not come. He supposed it should not surprise him. K'luha had not made up her mind either. K'yohko tried to silence his pensive mind with meditation. If he could not hunt, perhaps the winds would tell him about those who were hunting. His ears flicked up to the full height, taking in the sounds of the wind just outside the tent, and his tail wrapped around his waist to settle in his lap. _____________________________________________________________________________________ K'iara breathed out lowly, climbing to a small raise in the rocky outcropping to survey the land. And, to look for her scouts. K'nahli was a competent huntress, if not the largest ball of depression and angst in the tribe. K'iara inhaled the air softly, tasting it for their scent. They were slow to report back today... The sound of feet running hard against the dirt caught K'iara's attention. She turned and slid back down the hill, stepping forward to meet with K'tajhta. She hadn't realized the little one was going along with them on the hunt. Her ears perked forward and she knelt down to be on the same face level as Tahj as she spoke. K'iara gave a small nod of understanding and whistled to catch the rest of the group's attention. "Herd grazing. Let's go." she barked briefly, starting to step forward lightly. "Tahj, can you lead us back in that direction?" She didn't wait for a response from Tahj to continue walking. If Tahj couldn't do it, K'iara's nose could find it.
-
K'iara scanned the heads of the women following her. About eight in total at the moment, but they were missing a few stragglers. A certain useless pink haired girl, and her obnoxiously stoic sister, and of course that useless Tia of an Uncle. K'iara's ears flattened somewhat. No matter. They would be fine on the hunt without them. Stragglers could catch up or stay back. K'iara wasn't about to let a few idiots ruin the hunt. While her usual raspy voice was never loud enough to call out directions, K'iara had long since developed a system of whistles to get her point across. It wasn't unheard of to have done, and since yelling out directions when hunting prey was a sure way to get the prey startled, K'iara had simply adapted it for use before the hunt's beginning. K'iara placed her fingers to her lips before whistling high and loud, catching the attention of the huntresses around her, and hopefully alerting the stragglers that they were leaving. The red-headed woman lead the way, slipping out with limber legs into the darkness of night. Her brilliant blue eyes shimmering iridescently with the moon's light. There was less cover here than in the Sagolli, so they would need to stay low to the ground. She'd yet to see how the prey in the area looked fore predators. It was going to be a whole new experience in hunting. As the last few of the huntresses caught up with her, K'iara picked out two of the group, motioning with quick hand signals to start the scouting. It would do no good if the whole group went around scouting, they'd draw too much attention. Kneeling low to the ground and having the others do so, K'iara crawled forward over a small rise in the grassy hills to inspect the land. The scouts should return with a good target, but for the time being, waiting silently in the darkness would be key.
-
"Haha, no, I'm not. No one I know is either. I was just curious what you'd think of it." K'luha smiled again, pulling lightly at her clothing with a bit of anxiety. "I was just... maybe thinking about it. Since we'll finally have enough food here for everyone.... then maybe it would be a good time." K'luha coughed awkwardly and reached over to pat Tahj's shoulder. "Come on, go watch the hunt. You'll enjoy it."
-
K'luha blinked, glancing behind her at the sudden appearance and hug from her niece. K'nahli? The hunt? Oh, yes. Of course. How could she have been so absent-minded. K'luha smiled a bit and turned, petting Tahj's head. "Of course you can. Just don't stray too far from the group. Be safe okay?" Luha ruffled Tahj's hair before settling her arms back into her lap. "Say Tahj, how would you feel about having a sister?"
-
K'yohko gave a faint grunt in retort. It had been a very long time since they had sat by one another and spoke. Years even... K'yohko would have liked to belief they had spoken like this shortly after the calamity but, in reality it was probably far longer ago since K'luha had allowed him so close. His fingers entwined against each other, gripping his skin and turning his knuckles white. K'luha's ears flattened out, her face pressing to her knees with an audible sob. "What sort of horrific parent am I that I let my son and daughter die before me...? What sort of monster am I that could see it through twice... K'yohko... I am a bad parent.... I should have never been blessed with children...." K'luha gripped her knees tightly, fighting back what few tears her body could even muster anymore. The nuhn frowned when he looked upon her, wasting away in her pain. And yet it was not really her fault for either of their deaths. Truthfully, K'ailia was not even death, even if she must be dead to them. He reached a strong arm out and placed it around K'luha's waist, pulling her into a firm embrace. K'luha was somewhat startled, but too lost in her own lamentation to fight it. She pressed her head to his chest, gripping at his shirt with a soft choking cry. "I am also... a bad parent." K'yohko closed his eyes and pressed his forehead lightly to the top of K'luha's head. What sort of parent let their daughters fall in love with them? Had he been so absent that she could not view him as a father? Truthfully, there was but one solution that K'yohko could see to dilemma. There must be a new nuhn. If K'nhali loved him like she had said, there was but one suitable fate for his transgressions. He must fight K'ile for his title, and loose. But he could not just loose. His life needed to end so that K'nahli might be free of her burden. It was... the only way. The only way he could think of. "K'luha.... do you think the culmination of our knowledge as parents would serve another child better?" The question was sudden, but quiet. K'luha ceased her sobbing to look up to the elder miq'ote, confusion lingering in her eyes. "I... p-perhaps. I was young... when I had them both so... " K'luha pulled back to sit upright next to K'yohko, wiping her cheeks and eyes dry. "A new land. A new life... if you wanted another child, I could give that to you. K'ailia gave your life reason when you lost your will to live. I think, that perhaps, another child would be raised properly. It would give you reason again, and you are much wiser now. Perhaps K'ailia did you a great kindness to injure you hip. You will develop the knowledge and patience to deal with difficult things, instead of running away." K'yohko offered a small warming smiled to the former huntress. One that made K'luha blush and look away, her ears flattening. "I had forgotten how charming you can be when you try." K'luha grumbled quietly. The offer was tempting. There was K'ile... but there was no telling if and when he would actually become Nuhn. And she loved K'ile but, he had also never.... at least to her knowledge... and every time she'd tried to pry it from him, he'd gotten all flustered over it. There was no telling even if he did become nuhn if he would still do such things. There was also of course, his grievous negligence of her and Tahj of late. He was so focused on the ceremony, but no, not even the ceremony. He had wandered off on his own and almost died again. K'luha was unsure if she could handle him wandering off to see K'piru. K'luha gripped her knuckles tightly, staring to the ground with dismay. "I-i... w-will think about it.... I will... come to your tent with my answer..." K'luha blushed faintly, keeping her gaze from K'yohko. The Nuhn nodded acceptingly, his warm smile melting back to a stony gaze. "K'luha, you are not a bad parent. Just remember that Tahj is your child now as well." He offered as his final words before standing up. He brushed a faint bit of dirt off him and strode off, his form melting away into the shadows before it returning, flicking back into camp. K'yohko purposely made his way between Xha'li and K'ile as he return towards his tent, his tail flicking backwards at K'ile for his attention. He stole a silence gaze towards the Tia, an effort to get the Tia to come see him at a later point, before he continued on his way.
-
It felt as if the deepest nightmares in the far recesses of his mind had dredged forward into his daughter. Not only had she been jealous, thinking he favored one daughter over another, but she... lusted over him? The color drained from K'yohko's form, all semblance of fury gone and replaced with an unreadable wall. How could it have happened? The entire dismaying prospect baffled the Nuhn. How could it of happened like this? Almost repulsed by the nightmare that was now swirling as an unfathomably reality, K'yohko pulled back from K'nahli, stepping almost clumsily away and in quick effort to put space between them. A single word repeated through his mind, feeding in on itself and working his insides to a panicked boil. How? His face showed nothing. His body showed nothing. As if in defense to this news, any sort of emotion he could normally display in any small capacity seemed to completely stop. "We will never speak of this again. The words were quiet, giving away some of his dismay but nothing as compared to the turmoil twisting his gut. K'yohko kept his eyes firmly away from K'nahli, refusing to even look on her. There were no other words, no opportunity to say another word before K'yohko dismissed himself from her entirely. He turned his back and stepped briskly away, unwilling to listen to anything else she might of had to say, unwilling to even look into her eyes or at her face. K'yohko's feelings were mixed up. Unable to pick apart any singular emotion, it was all he could do to simply walk away. He continued that walk, seeking some shelter, when his eyes picked up a familiar aura. An aura that felt as much in despair as his own. K'luha. The huntress was just in his view, and luckily it was quite a ways from where he'd left his daughter laying. As if K'luha might make some ward to hold K'nahli off if she wanted to chase him down, he walked briskly to her side before sitting down. K'luha lifted her head slowly as a warm body sat down. Her face was drained, unhappy looking as the days after her son's death. "K'yohko..." She muttered quietly before turning her head away from his form. K'yohko looked to her nervously, glancing back behind himself as if to make sure K'nahli was away and not following. "K'luha." He replied quietly, his voice ever so faintly trembling. "It's been a while K'yohko..."
-
K'yohko fumed silently, snorting out hot air and fury onto K'nahli's face. He lowered himself, his sharpened fangs glimmering inches from her face. "Keep your tongue in check or I will check it for you." The snarling words tumbled down hotly from his mouth, hitting K'nahli's face with an intense ferocity. His rocky face that twisted into an expression of anger, his eyes shimmering with the same rage he'd shown when Xha'li first entered the camp. "I will not bare your attitude any further. If you will not answer why you wound your sibling, you will answer why you insist upon disrespecting me. K'ile is nothing to me. A buzzing insect without threat. Without purpose. If you will not answer me, I will chose you as my mate so you may feel the proper shame for your actions." The words slithered maliciously from his mouth as his sharped nails dug into her skin. "I have no more tolerance for your belligerence. Answer me K'nahli."
-
"I should be asking that question to you, K'nahli." The words were spit back as fast as K'nahli could say them. Although his face refused to budge from it's constant neutral expression, his eyes shimmered violently like the crackling of a storm. His ears too, twitched and tilted ever so slightly forward, giving away his irritation with his daughter. It went without saying K'yohko would not allow K'nahli to move without a fight. "You will answer to me, daughter of mine, why it is that you so suddenly come to hate your sister. Why it is, that you consistently loathe and disrespect me. Tell me why it is that you have come to hate your family and turn yourself so aloof from the people that care about you." K'yohko's voice was firm and harsh, his deep tones digging into her mind and prying for some sort of sensible answer.
-
The sick tone of the frail woman's voice was grating upon his ears. They twitched faintly with her poisoned words, his fingers digging lightly into his rough skin. His daughter would truly then, choose to walk away before she would admit her problem? This problem did not require the elders any further. It required force. K'yohko's eyes narrowed dangerously at his daughter's fleeting form. This was the end of this behavior, or she would become the next exiled kin. K'yohko's stormy tail flicked agitatedly behind him, and the stone faced Nunh stepped silently through the grass after his daughter. As her form exited from the camp light, just out of the general sight for the camp, his opportunity arose. Like lightning, he silently glided across the distance left between himself and K'nahli. His body came up sharply, aiming to smash into his daughter's and pin her much smaller form to the ground and stare down into her face with an unmatched intensity. "K'nahli." His voice was low, angry, thick with subtle emotions his face could not portray. "This ends now. If I must force this from your tongue, then I will force it."

K'luha gently guided Tahj back to the tent, peering in and waiting for Tahj to seem settled down before she pulled away. Her eyes wandered the campsite. The Huntresses on the move, K'yohko's familiar form lingering in the shadows with K'nahli, and K'ile with K'mih and Xha'li. K'luha felt her chest ache, the two figures she wished to see most among the campsite invisible to her eyes. The former huntress turned away, slipping gently past her tent and outwards of the circle of tents. Her feet carried her softly from the noise and sounds and familiarity of her family, a dark thread tugging at her chest that guided her. Not far away, but far enough, she sat herself down on small cliff side. Her hip ached distantly, but her mind wandered towards the moonlight. Faint memories stirred of the Sagolii, of how K'piru had run out to the sands and wailed and waited for her dead family to return. K'luha looked to the grassy ground. Was this home now? It felt as empty as the night's sky when the stars still failed to shine bright. The strings around her chest seemed to pull her in so many directions that it simply tore her apart. Lamenting, K'luha pressed her face to her knees and breathed deeply.

There was a mild surprise that flickered across the flames that reflected in K'yohko's violet orbs. Despite K'mih receiving the bead of a firedancer, he had not expected her to perform. But then again, the dance was an important part of the night, of the ritual. It was expected to her to dance with the flames. She was clumsy and unpracticed and her inexperience showed in every misstep and flare of the flames. But her effort was sincere. K'yohko found he could at least respect that much. He let his eyes linger to respectfully watch K'mih's performance, but he felt the sour glare of his eldest daughter somewhere off sulking in the dark. He paid that sourness no mind. Her ire did not deserve his attention. He could feel K'mih's eyes as well, seeking his form out among the crowded gathering. Was it acceptance and praise she was looking for? It felt like something of that nature. As the dance came to a halt and the fire died to embers, the huntresses eagerly collected their things and began their trip outward. K'yohko looked towards some of their slowly fleeting forms yearningly. To hunt this night would be the greatest honor... He could not understand why it was K'takka had ordered him to refrain. But he could not deny her wisdom. If it was his place to take a mate this night, then he would take a mate this night. He remained still, quietly watching a certain sun haired miq'ote from a distance. He needed to wait until she was alone before he could speak with her... A sour voice called K'yohko's attention away. He turned his head faintly in K'nahli's direction. Anger dripped from her words like a thick poison. K'yohko's expression remained unchanging, her ire simply crashing into a rock and falling back where it had come. He was stone against her onslaught. "I have no reason to apologize, daughter of mine. Should it not be you who apologizes? You cause your sister anguish because of your own selfishness." K'yohko's eyes glimmered dangerously behind a straight face, his tail sweeping gently out behind him and relaxing once more. "K'nahli. Do not walk away from me. Your sickness disturbs everyone. I would have you stay and speak your mind. Your cryptic nonsense helps no one." K'yohko straightened himself up to his full height, his tail flicking out more aggressively behind him. "You will listen to me now, or you will be shown sense by The Elders. Do you understand?" ********************* K'iara eagerly grabbed hold of her axes, spinning the hilt across her fingers as she stepped away from the flames. The ceremony could not have been longer or more irritating to the woman. Tradition was important, but she was hungry and eager to stretch her legs. Her axe ached in her hand to sink into flesh. The elder huntress licked her lips and pushed her way past K'mih and K'ile, leading the way off to gather the Chocobos for the hunt. Hunting would do no good if they couldn't bring back their kills, after all. ********************** K'luha hummed deeply in her throat, petting K'tahja's ears and back as the ceremony dragged on. Little K'mih seemed to have grown greatly since she last remembered such a ceremony. Somehow, she wasn't sure if K'mih would be able to do such a bold thing as fire dancing, but K'ile had been a good enough teacher it seemed. A small smile stretched over her features, relaxing her grip on K'tahja as the fire died down with the end of K'mih's dancing. K'luha leaned forward gently to kiss the top of her niece's head. "It's over Tahj. The fire is gone." Her words were soft and comforting, and K'luha stepped back gently to look down in an effort to meet the girl's eyes. "Are you tired? Should we rest in the tent until the huntresses come back with food?"
-
Fire. K'luha had almost forgotten Tahj's deathly fear of flame. Almost. She felt the young girl stiffen in front of her and caught her terrifed glances. K'luha tried to offer a reassuring smile, pressing her hands to Tahj's shoulders and squeezing there firmly. Her eyes were firmly fixed upon the bonfire and the ceremony at the center. It was tradion. It was important. And it was important that K'tahja not fear the flames of Azyema. Even though fire had taken her mother, it also gave life. The sound of K'jhanhi's staff was soothing. For a moment, the sound felt as if it could envelop K'luha and hold away the despair. But it was only for a moment before the sound seemed to turn back to sound. K'luha's eyes lifted to the shimmering beads along K'takka's wrist. They would light the fire now. Roughly and abruptly, K'luha took Tahj's shoulders and pulled her around, pressing the girl's face to her chest to shield her. "Just hold onto me, okay? It'll be okay." K'luha whispered softly, hugging her niece tightly.
-
K'luha looked to Rin, an outsider coming to the ceremony? Well, he was family. She was sure it would be fine. Especially if they were all together. She glanced down to Tahj, smiling faintly. She nodded in agreement, shuffling them all closer towards the center of camp where the huntresses had gathered. K'luha cast a concerned glance back to K'ile, biting at her bottom lip. "No." She answered for Tahj abruptly, furrowing her brows. "She'll be with me.... we have the tent to finish setting up and some furs to sew." K'luha pushed Tahj's shoulder to push her lightly in front of K'luha. She glanced forward again and gripped Tahj's shoulder lightly. "We can talk about if you want to go later Tahj, but for now, please just go with me..."
-
K'luha's ears seemed to have made up their mind at K'ile's wandering with his opening line. They flattened down, and looking distinctly uncomfortable she shyed away from him. Her tail curled meekly around her bad leg, almost like a brace or support. The former huntress looked meekly at the hand he offered, her eyes lingering on it before darting up to his face for a moment, and then back. "Talk?" K'luha questioned with a small nervous laugh. She pushed a cracking smile on her face, straighten herself up somewhat and pushing her hairs to stand straight through sheer force of will. "What talk? I-i couldn't imagine anyone-" K'luha trailed off abruptly as the nosy chocobo pushed its way forward and warked into K'ile's ear. A soft squeeze from K'tahja's hand brought her attention downward, and she tried to give a more genuine smile to her niece. Luha reached forwardly with her free hand and softly shifted to stroke the chocobo's beak. She had always enjoyed the company of the silly birds. Her own had made the journey to their new home admirably. Luha cast a sidelong glance at K'ile, unsure of how to feel or what to say. "K'ile you should... rest... or lay down. We can talk later. Tahj wants to see the huntresses off and... that's what's important right now. Everything else can wait until later." Luha looked down to Tahj faintly and smiled a bit, patting her shoulder before starting to limp off towards the center of the tribe's circle. ----- K'iara had gathered herself with K'nahli in tow to the center of camp. Most of the huntresses had gathered down, all speaking in excited and nervous hushed whispers to one another. K'iara herself enjoyed a small conversation with the second eldest huntress, smiling and flicking her tail behind her with anxiety. Every so often she let her eyes dart back over to the elder's tent, impatient for the moment they would appear. ---- K'yohko stood some ways off from the center of camp, far enough to hear and see but not to interact. His eyes glassed over all the women, wondering just what sort of prey K'takka had in mind. The idea made him somewhat anxious. What if there wasn't enough food here either? They'd still only just arrived. What if this place wasn't good? How could they support a pregnant huntresses if the conditions were incorrect? His usual thin stoic expression pressed into more of a thin scowl, and his eyes narrow to look harder among the huntresses.
-
K'yohko frowned faintly as K'ile ducked off, aggravated. There was no hope for ever being friendly with the man, was there? The Nunh flicked his tail away, breathing out softly. He stepped away from K'ile, taking a longer way around the camp to head towards the middle. It would be good to see everyone off to the hunt in any case. He would speak with K'luha again later. ---- K'luha smiled more brightly to her niece as they walked. "Well, there's a lot of goat like things in his area. So something like that I think! Something nice and plump I hope." Luha's ears twitched, thinking she might have heard something. She straightened herself out a moment, twitching her ears before looking behind her. K'ile. He was difficult to miss with such bright hair, even if he did look a bit drained of color since his injuries. K'luha's ears perked and then flattened, and then perked and flattened again. They couldn't seem to decide if she was happy he'd called to her, or upset about it. "K'ile... go lay down. You're still injured." K'luha glanced away, gripping Tahj's hand lightly.

Yohko gave a bemused smirk towards the elder man. For a man older, he certainly acted like a child at times. He allowed his ears to twitch picking up the sounds of stirring within K'luha's tent. The air of stillness about the area seemed to ease somewhat, relieving Yohko of some of his worries. K'tahja was perhaps the best thing for K'luha now. The nunh was almost certain that K'ile would only give her more trouble than she could handle. "I've talked to you more than two minutes." He pointed out briefly, reaching forward in an attempt to rest a hand on the man's head. It was amusing how short K'ile Tia was. Yohko wasn't even sure K'ile could move someone as large as he was without a running start. Then again, he was quite the lithe fighter. " I know her better than you think. You should sit down if you've got a headache. You're welcome to sit in my tent until yours is set up." Yohko flicked his tail, pulling his hands back to rest by his sides. He glanced up, watching K'tahja and K'luha leave the tent. --- K'luha smiled to Tahj again and limped out from her tent with Tahj in tow. She could get around on her own by now, but her limp didn't seem to be fading much. Running was still impossible for her. But the woman made good limping out from the tent, too busy with Tahj to noticed K'ile as they headed towards the center of the tents. "Are you excited for dinner?" Luha asked more cheerfully, taking a deep breath to push back her feeling of doubt and despair.
-
K'yohko couldn't even sigh again K'ile's attempts to free himself. They were more than pitiful. But he had to feel bad that K'ile was hurting himself to try and avoid him. K'yohko's ears flicked forward, almost startled that K'ile would ask for K'luha's tent. Yohko glanced towards the woman's tent, a thick dark aura emanating from the cloth. Perhaps it was only K'yohko, a miq'ote extremely in tune with nature, that could feel it. But it certainly felt off, and it had since she'd returned from their scouting mission. "Over there." K'yohko lightly gestured in the direction of K'luha's tent, noting Tahj's thin form as the girl entered the tent. "If it interests you, she is doing poorly." The nunh paused for a moment, releasing K'ile's arm slowly. "You cannot give her want she wants K'ile. You do not know her like I know her. But, feel free to prove me wrong... Nothing would make me happier than to be wrong about K'luha...." K'yohko crossed his arms and looked past K'ile towards the woman's tent. He didn't intend to simply let K'ile walk over there himself, and would tail the other closely should he want to walk to K'luha's tent. --- She distantly felt warm arms wrap around her shivering frame, and lifted her head a bit. "K'tahja..." Luha muttered softly, looking over her niece's hazy form. The hunt... how could she face them? But, if Tahj was asking then. Then she had no choice. K'luha forced a cracking smile on her lips and raised her arms to embrace her neice's form. She was so much more muscular now than she had been when they first met. "Yes, of course we can watch. And soon, you'll be able to go with them Tahj." K'luha tried to give a soft laugh, sitting up and shifting to stand. "Come, we shouldn't be late..." K'luha looked towards the flap of her tent and then back to her nice.

Rejected again. Tonight was going to full of rejections, wasn't it? K'yohko flicked his ears towards K'takka and bowed a bit at his waist. He turned from their tent shifted away, his eyes flickering around the tent. It had been five almost six very long years since anyone had requested his use. It was almost bit overwhelming to try and think about it again. K'yohko flicked his tail behind him. Had he grown so cold and distant in the last six years that the thought of that kind of togetherness wasn't appealing? Again, K'yohko's ears flattened somewhat. It was quite a troublesome request K'takka had burdened him with. Looking for a distraction, K'yohko noted a single flaming haired male staggering to his knees outside of the healer's tent. K'yohko looked up a bit, quirking his head before moving towards K'ile. The troublesome Tia stood and started wandering off again. It would be even more troublesome if he walked off on his own again. Yohko sighed a bit beneath his breath and stepped forward, grabbing at K'ile's arm to stop him. "You're going to wander outside of camp alone again if you keep that up." The nunh said flatly, his stormy eyes a quiet glassy violet tonight. He noted K'ile's pained features, and wondered why it was that K'zhumi let him out of the tent to begin with. K'yohko would have guided him back to his own tent, but seeing as how he'd been unconscious and under care he didn't have one yet. But K'yohko already had his set up. He supposed he could offer up his space to K'ile instead. --- K'iara waved a cheerful goodbye to another red haired huntress, her eyes honing in on a particularly pink and purple. The eldest huntress smirked a bit and stepped forward between the sisters, not oblivious to their tension but ignoring it outright. She moved to clap a hand on either one's shoulder, and looking knowingly at both of them with a toothy grin. "First hunt tonight ladies. We wouldn't want bad omens to disgrace our first hunt, would we? K'nahli? K'mih?" K'iara looked to each as she addressed them before slipping her hands back to her hip and resting her palm of a single hand on the handle of her axes. "Let's gather our family tonight quickly. We shouldn't keep the elders waiting." K'iara shifted away from the girls with a little raspy chuckle, her tail flicking behind her, eager to begin the hunt. --- K'luha sat in eerie still silence. Her tent was only put together because of K'tahja's efforts. If the others had not helped, she would not have had the strength to put it back together. A thin piece of fabric rested across the sand in front of K'luha. A bandana, given so long ago. The color of the fabric and the smell of the old ragged piece of cloth pained K'luha until she felt her chest throb. She pressed a hand to her breast, closing her eyes and finally pushing the fabric away with another hand. She couldn't look at it any longer. How could she face her sisters tonight? She had always been a part of ceremonial hunts. How could she look at her sisters and tell them she was maimed. How could she tell them all that her daughter had maimed her and then died? What sort of mother was she to have raised a daughter who could do that? K'luha bowed her head down to her knees and pressed her hands to the back of her head, ears flattened down and tail limp.

The sharpness of K'takka's rejection brought K'yohko's eyes to look more firmly to his grandmother. Rejection... It was disappointing. His ears twitched a bit, flicking downwards and sideways. Nunh, a title he had carried for so long it seemed to lose meaning. But to hear his grandmother say he needed to mate with a woman again? K'yohko's ears flicked upwards, a barely visible flush across his face. It was somewhat strange to hear it from K'takka. K'yohko raised a hand over his face, brushing the color and mild shock from any obvious expression. "If I help the huntresses on the first hunt, would it not be a good start to charming a huntress?" K'yohko questioned softly. It might have been a long shot but, going on hunts with the women had worked well for him before. It gave him a chance to show off his strength and it had previously attracted women to his tent. His eyes glanced sidelong towards the healers tent. His tent was always open, even to K'ile. His offer to the Tia had been genuine, but it had always been clear that K'ile wanted as little to do with K'yohko as possible. Even now... K'yohko glanced back towards K'iara's shifting frame in the distance as she left K'luha's tent. K'luha, they had been close once. She had been a good mate. Having a child had brought her back to live once. If he could only make her understand... His ears flicked. "If not, I have someone in mind..." The nunh paused, his stormy eyes still lingering on K'luha's tent before they trailed back to K'takka. "It worked once before... I hope that maybe it would work a second time..." He added more softly to K'takka, his eyes lingering to meet his grandmother's. "Should the huntresses take K'tahja on the hunt? She could learn. She is quick and smart. I think she would like it."
