I've read that the Plainsfolk Lalafell came from an island to the South, and that modern-day Eorzean Plainsfolk Lalafell are descendants of Lalafell who came from these islands. My FFXIV lore is pretty spotty, as I'm just getting back into the game after a long break, but I wanted to know if it was possible to make a Lalafell who came from these islands as opposed to being born in Eorzea? I thought it would be an interesting concept, but I couldn't dig up any details about the islands and I don't want to make a character who shatters lore. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks!

Normally, Rennaix is a lot like Jin from Samurai Champloo - detached, somewhat socially awkward, and his skill with a blade and the traditions of his school form his core beliefs. He has a streak of Spike from Cowboy Bebop as well - he's more than happy to jump headfirst into situations stacked against him, and he doesn't give up until the end.

With the upcoming release of the Ninja class, I was thinking of making a character who is actually from the "Far East," instead of an Eorzean. I did some searching for lore regarding the Far East, but all I've managed to really find are some scattered mentions in levequests and the Heavensturn event, plus the little description on the Ninja class page saying that they come from the "war-torn lands of the Far East." There is very little information and I don't want to break the lore, but I do have a few cool ideas I'd like to incorporate into my character that involve him being from there. What are your opinions on this? Would it be feasible to play a character from the Far East?

Hey, everyone! You can call me Faeran, which is also the name of my main character in-game. I'm an avid gamer and roleplayer which three years of experience in WoW, and about another year or so of experience in various other MMOs including Guild Wars 2 and City of Heroes / Villains (RIP.) My first MMO was Star Wars Galaxies, but sadly, I was too young to understand how to play that game, much less roleplay in it! My main character, Faeran, is an Elezen ex-coliseum fighter now turning to the only life he has the skills for - adventuring. I look forward to RPing in the release and getting to know the community, and I would love to start up some RP over forums or private messages if anyone's interested! I can't wait to start getting involved!
