  1. I think that someone already mentioned this, but it's unnecessarily humankind-centric to assume that all of the races have similar signs of ageing. The lack of faces is analogous to the lack of body types. There aren't a lot of body type options, either: e.g. you can't make a fat character. You are allowed to choose from a spectrum of chiselled to lean. This should not lead to the assumption that fat people, skinny people, emaciated people, or apple-, hourglass-, pear-, or etc. shaped people do not exist in the world. Therefore, surely older and younger folks of every race exist, especially with their own physical characteristics indicating as much. The relevant question of the thread is how old terms "older" and "oldest" indicate for each race. The arguments based on character creation aesthetic have little basis and seem to have caused a spot of digression from the original topic.
  2. This is such a cool idea! I'd like to make one if I felt like I could put the effort/time into it (I'm not already a tumblr user). Really enjoying looking through other people's, also, so thanks for sharing.
  3. I'm similarly open to RP if you see me around or shoot me a PM/tell! My character's name on Balmung in Halpask Zwelfsyn. See you around & welcome to the community.
  4. Nice to meet you! I'm Time Tyrn on Gilgamesh, so likewise if you see me around feel free to chat me up. I'm always looking for friends for PvE, too, so whether it's RP or otherwise I'm friendly. As far as tips or help, I'd recommend this thread.

    Meep~

Hi! Nice to meet you. I'm not an artist myself but I do like to draw on occasion and would be up for an art trade if you fancy! I've mostly been on Gilgamesh these days but if you're ever interested in roleplaying, I'm happy to hop on Balmung or otherwise we can find a cozy spot in the forums. Have a nice stay, hope the community treats you really well!
  6. I've wondered this myself! I've never found anything either way, though, so I've just assumed they were parallel to human lifespans. Hopefully anyone can provide some fresh information.
  7. I don't have a Miqo'te character myself, but I can see the appeal of making a Keeper due to the lore & of making any Miqo'te for their ability to be just barely more androgynous than other races (second to Lalafell, considering). I'm from a moon-lovin' culture, like tribal structures, and also like matriarchies/women-led societies. The rest of the qualities about Miqo'te—other aesthetics, & seeker lore—are secondary to me, but I can see why anyone would be appealed to just based on different intersections in their own life.
  8. Nice to meet you, friend! I have a character on Balmung and Gilgamesh each, but of course that isn't relevant if you're ever interested in forum roleplay. Feel free to send me a message in-game or here for any reason! I'm always excited to see people post their characters on the wiki, so hopefully you get around to that.
  9. I would avoid putting a house in the same ward as them. Several of RareX's members have been griefing roleplayers on Balmung recently, several days in a row. I'm not usually much for mentioning stuff like this, but this is severe/recurring enough to validate a heads up, imo Doesn't surprise me much. What ward did they buy it in? First, I suppose? I love how the only ones who can afford a roleplayer's dream are the rp haters I do not understand the purpose of FC housing for non-RPers. ???
  10. I'm really tentative to mention this as I don't know how interested people would be in this, but what if Balmung roleplayers and FCs worked together with one FC at a time? I know a lot of people might feel like it's problematic as it'd be an honour system driven manoeuvre, but it's something communities irl here do a lot—large families move into one home, then all save up so that they can split, etc, repeatedly, rinse, lather, repeat, all the while working together for the next monetary goal even after they've moved out—and it might make things feel as if they are moving faster. Otherwise, smaller groups could band together to do as much. Two FCs who want to be neighbors might consider pooling resources until they have enough for both neighbouring houses (a slower reversal of the above mentioned concept), or might work together to save up for one for both of them until they can save up enough for a second. I don't feel that I have a dog in the fight either way, I was just reminded of this useful practise while reading through this thread. Anyone who is worried about such methods should not participate in them.

    Hiya

Hi! Nice to meet you & welcome to the community. You seem like a swell person—if you've ever looking for some guidance (I'm fresh, too, but I'll try!), companionship, or roleplay, feel free to send me a message! Neither of the characters that I currently roleplay right now are archers so we won't have any ICly traumatising problems.
  12. That isn't what Fenrir is saying. This is what Fenrir is saying: The content of this thread has travelled very far from the source.
  13. I really like this idea! I'm a bit too timid and feel too new to the game to feel like I could pioneer it, but I'd be behind anyone who wanted to make it into something. I think the best motion would be to start as a linkshell and then, if that grows quite large, to create a free company.
  14. I only just joined Gilgamesh, but this sounds like a pretty cool idea that I could second. The character I have probably wouldn't be suited to it, though. Edit: I only just saw that Xefjord made a new post about it—my mistake! Didn't mean to derail the original topic of the thread.
