  1. considering the limitations in server capacity, we might not have a choice to consider more worlds for RPing. And the fixes for today aren't supposed to raise the 5000 active player limit so far. It seems like changing that limit would mean re-thinking the whole server architecture. if possible, it would be really nice to try knowing where all the stranded role players are and check which world has the least over population. well, let's see what will happen after tomorrow's fixes are done.
  2. There are 3 scales for items in the user interface: with mouse - select the element you wish to change, press CRTL+HOME to change the scale. with Gamepad - press down on the right thumb-stick. Moving the chat window: move your cursor over the general tab, you can click and drag it from there. On PS3 you need to enter mouse mode to move it. New chat window: Move your cursor over one of the other tabs in your current chat window, click and drag to separate that tab into a new window. You can also turn off most of the interface elements in the character menu.
  3. Not being used to RPing, I was curious if you guys usually adjust your UI in a particular way? here is mine while not in combat:
  4. at some point, people were talking about Masamune and Atomos for RPing ... so I made a alt. character on Atomos, since Masamune was full. my character has the same name, style and build. Currently playing on Atomos since Balmung is blocked right now, so If anyone else is there give me a shout and we can party up some time!
  5. Ah! Thank you for reading this conglomeration of data! I would pray you would so kindly take a moment to glance over these following lines. Maybe give a nod of understanding and even a kind word or invitation if you would be so generous! An now for the details defining me! --MMORPG background A few, big names! yes indeed! Wow, FFXI, DaoC, Imagine and a few other lesser known, to be forgotten. Not at all relevant! --RP experience None I say! NONE! I am as new to this as new new new!!! I typed words before of course, but nothing in the range of playing as my self... no no no! --Character ideas/info WELL! .. now here we are, to the MEAT! yessss... My mother, thrice widowed, went to the northern land and... *2 hours later* ...and that's how I became a failed experiment in the burgeoning Garlemald empire, abandoned on a derelict Airship manned by an insane Legatus named Arch Sin Cerulan. My name, as you now know, is simply a concatenation of the "Xeno-Geist :: thread seer Cyphen" designation. --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? Light!, light as a feather dipped in molases... I mean sticky... well... Light, but sticky. --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? well I did write some short stories and made scenarios for games, but this is my first test into the massive interconnected web make-beleive. So being only mildly insane I though to my self: "Yes, these are my people!" Hark!! On and away, I venture forth into Eozora, furiously typing words! Now, any help towards finding friendly folks to accompany my daily adventures would be greatly appreciated! I am low maintenance.
  6. Whoa whoa, some of us are just a little bit unlucky when it comes to collateral damage. I think what really counts is whether or not you intended to burn down that orphanage. and if they can prove that it was you that did it. (plausible deniablity is a wondrous tool, and few good alibi purchased in advance never hurt ) now now friends! As my dear old papa used to say: "It's always most troublesome to prove your good intentions when it involves a room full of screaming children that you accidentally burnt to a crisp" at least... I, I think that man was father. but the point is, it's always best to bring a little chloroform when screaming might be involved... not just formaldehyde.
  7. I thought it might be a good way to make my first post here, adding my attempt at villainy to the growing pool of questionable characters that is gathering here. Well, villainous might be a strong word, miss understood would be better. as most alchemists or such tinkerers are likely to be labeled by the common folk! Especially when they steal corpses in the night for test purposes, wearing a rather questionable facial paint to cloak their presence...
