The Frozen Link

Figured the easiest would be to create a post here. I'm on the EU datacanter Light and I'd hope to find a roleplaying community (or at least some friends) in a similar situation. While there seems to be a lot of RP on Light (surprisingly) all I find seem to revolve around staying at a bar or some sort of club in a housing district all the time, and while I don't really have anything against tavernRP (used to do it quite a bit in GW2 and WoW) from time to time, coming from previously mentioned games where you roleplay out in the "open world" beeing in housing areas feels so "restricted". In a perfect world I'd love to be in a Mercenary like FC with the focus on exploring the world, but to anyone out there who'd like to go against what seems to be the norm in FFXIV and make use of Hydaelyn and be more "adventurous" please do drop me a message on discord: The Frozen Link#2341 I'm by no means a hard core RP'er, and I wouldn't say I'm very well versed in the game lore, not to mention I don't really have anything "ready" either, since there hasn't really been a need for it.

Which server? I'm on Lich and I know there's a FC that does tavern RP, I haven't interacted with them but I was hoping to eventually join up with them (it seems they welcome anyone who wish to join RP, even if they're in another FC) I was hoping to find a cross world linkshell that people from Light could join, so we knew when the different servers had RP events and be able to join up with them. I would love for light to have an unofficial RP server too, to draw more EU people to

I know, but I can't since I got friends on Light, and the unofficial EU server is on Chaos :/

A shame for those who wish to interact with the RP community but does not have the ability to server transfer (well, Data Center transfer) though.

I know the EU community is already spread out and from my understanding, the community on Omega is quite small..so I guess an unofficial RP server on Light is too much to expect?

I suppose there's no chance there will be an EU rp server on Light as well?

Sorry if this is not related to the thread but.. With the second EU Data Center, wtf happens to the EU RP'ers (those who are on the EU Data Center) from my understanding, the community on Omega is small enough already, so the likelihood of an RP server on Light is.. next to none? I was really excited about the news to visit other servers on the same Data Center as I can't (don't want to) move since I got friends who don't RP on this server, but my server is being moved to the new Data Center, and there is no reason for my friends to considering staying on Chaos as there will be a lot of non-English speaking people on that Data Center (from my understanding)
