(This is just from what I have seen) Maybe we should head on over to the official forums and talk our "RP" talk to the thousands who have no idea that a few hundred people named Balmung the unofficial RP server. My brother and I found out about the community because we sought the RPC out. It's kind of a staple for any game we play. Of course I wish we could have and official role-playing server. I also would LOVE IT if the whole community here could be on the same server. I know it is wrong to ask people to hold off and wait but if it were me on another server I would use the time to learn mechanics read all those quest logs and when Balmung/Gilgamesh opens up hop over there and power through those levels. Guys (ladies too) If we could all stick together and be a dominate population on one server (or two i suppose) the chances of an official RP server being named goes up. Thus making the stories, conflicts, relationships, and general greatness of the role-play experience we can have go from average to dangerously addicting. :idea: Leveling and gear and all of that needs be on the back-burner of the role-players mind. If not we might as well be join any server we want and look for the "endgameraiderz" *:frustrated:* FC and grind for smexy rawking geer. LS and FC should be IC I think. That's why you join an RP server correct? I just wish we had to be IC all the time. That would solve it all! I mean why not? We are the officially unofficial RP servers of FFXIV. I guess I am one of those fanatics who wants to recreate a virtual world the most realistically immersing as possible. Because honestly, you can find a game to go PvE grind for things. If we kept it all IC yes it would take substantially longer to reach end game and get all the cool shiny weapons and armors we all fawn over. BUT imagine the ride there..... -whew- THAT would be amazing. Another plus is if it was server wide IC it would honestly promote LS/FC to LS/FC teaming up. At least it would in my brain, which is a frightening place i must admit.

Are there any Free Companies or Link-Shells that are going to be "front-liner" groups? In my experience RP PvP is the only way to go. Now if you added a PvP Permadeath RP server I would have multiple gigglegasms but that is another story. My brother and I are combing the forums for an RP PvP LS or FC. This doesn't mean we want to forsake PvE at all but what better way to solve IC disputes? When it comes down to it no matter how many emotes you throw at one another each one is thinking in the back of their heads "I could take this guy in a real fight." At least I am ha! Plus if it was front-lines/zone PvP it would add a realism and urgency to the PvP. If the RP servers did it right we could have A LOT of fun with zone PvP. If we used strategy and tact we could create some great RP experiences. What better way to better shape and advance the characters IC development to the multitude of players who want to role-play soldier type characters. I mean imagine two or more opposing armies gathering for a treaty instead of -CHARGE-wipe-re-spawn-CHARGEfests. I may be babbling but I see great potential.
