  1. Category A: You, OOCLY 1. Are there any any races you particularly love the opposite (or same) gender of? The models, the history, the lore, anything. The Keepers of the Moon will always be my favorite. When it comes to any MMO, I usually drift towards the class that has that one out of the norm race--I mean, you've always got your humans, your elves, your giants, your dwarfs, and then there's that species that's entirely of its own idea. I think that is partly the reason why I originally drifted towards Miqo'te's, and the fact that I favor Keepers of the Moon is based on their history. I love them as I love Asmodians from AION, if anyone can relate. 2. How do you view interracial couples in -game-? Specifically, let's not get into a debate about whether or not it's 'gross' to you as a person or if there are too many people doing it. I would be a little weary of the idea of a Lalafell and a Roegadyn together. Hahah, but, no, I honestly don't care. I think interracial coupling can be pretty interesting, so have at it. I have no qualms about what other people want to do. 3. Do your OOC feelings towards a particular race make you more open or affect what your character is looking for when they're either flirting around, pursuing romance, or just, in general, acting differently towards those individuals. Um, no, not really. I keep OOC and IC seperate. Category B: Your character 1. Does your character seek friends or partners based predominantly on race? He feels most comfortable around other male Keepers, although he does not necessarily avoid anyone based on their race alone. He just doesn't care. He treats everyone just about the same, whether that's harshly or kindly. It is because of his openness to the male Keepers, however, that originally had him approach the Miqo'te he is interested and devoted to as of now, so he is biased and he is... not biased, because he would care for this Miqo'te whether or not he had ears and tail, at this point. 2. How does your character view interracial pairings and are their feelings different from your own? Like me, he also doesn't care. He has his business just like everyone else has theirs, and he's not about to butt his nose into anything that doesn't involve him.
  2. Oh, wow. If not immediately (as I don't have a lot of free time as it is, usually), then some day I'd really like to be a part of this. This sounds awesome. Not only am I biased as a fan of Fight Club to begin with, but as Edgar previously stated, the thought put into this is crazy. I love it.

    A sad day

As a roleplayer and an extremely hardcore raider, I kind of take exception to this. You can be both. I agree with the above. There's no reason why that should be on the back-burner. Personally, my character strives to be stronger, so that naturally includes leveling and questing and aaaall the smexy gear that comes along with it. Why enter the game at all otherwise? I understand having good equipment is desired. Like Orin stated the community comes first to me. Any mmo can offer cool gear and raids, but a good rp community can give all your gear AND memories that can be cherished with characters and stories that transcend raids and.dungeons. I am a PvP advocate so.don't think that I don't care about gear and mechanics but its not my main focus. I am a heavy rp'er though. I suppose everyone has different feelings about the cross between RP and gaming in an MMO, and that's totally cool. No one should have a say about how someone enjoys their experience, no matter if one thing is focused or if they are all equally focused, right?
  4. I find that if you serenade your log-in screen sweetly, there are better chances of wooing it open. 8-)

  6. That's actually not true. I mean about the 10-15 minutes. I spent an hour last night trying to log in before finally giving up and going to bed. If I had been logged in when I got home, I would have been able to actually play some. Instead, I didn't get any play time at all. And I do understand that. My partner has had a similar level of difficulty getting in, too, I realized, though for the passed three days, twenty minutes or so was all it took for me to slip in after getting home from work. Then again, maybe I've just been lucky and jinxed myself. PFFT.
  7. LOOK AT THAT FAWN BOOTY. Also, welcome! We will not be on similar servers, but... because of fawn booty, I welcome you, regardless.
  8. The most I've AFK'd is if I were to go fetch dinner or something, resulting in a half hour. I would never let my avatar sit there for hours just so I don't have to click 'log in' a few times. Not only would it be harsh on my laptop, but as stated, it's a little inconsiderate and I totally agree with that. It only takes me about 10-15 minutes of trying to hop back in after logging out for a while. It's really not a big deal at all--especially since I couldn't even enjoy the last Balmung beta phase because of congestion, so I sympathize with the players who are having a harder time than me.
  9. I. Basic Info Characters: Rubh'a Jinjahl, tbc. Primary character: Rubh'a Jinjahl. Linkshells: None, at the moment. Primary RP linkshell: None, at the moment. II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Flexible. Light RP is usually my more casual style while in-game, say, if I were to interact with a stranger, comment on surroundings and/or events, or joke around with friends. Medium – heavy RP is reserved for my more serious scenarios/plots and can be done in-game, via forum, or via Skype. It is my more preferred length as I am known to be a rambler with my posts. Views on RP combat and injuries: I enjoy it. I do not have a lot of experiencewith roleplaying combat, but I like to try my best, nonetheless, as most of my characters are of a rash, animalistic sort, anyway. I try to keep things fair and never dip my fingers into god-moding. I would expect the same from my partner(s). Also, a tip: I love to make my characters suffer, but that doesn’t mean I’ll ever be an easy win—at least… I’ll try not to be. In other words, just because I love it, doesn’t mean I love losing without a good fight. Views on IC romance: It is a genre that I often find myself drawn to, both in-game and out, though only with my significant other’s (Hyunseo) characters. I am afraid that I will not be caring to participate in a romantic involvement with anyone else’s players. Sorry! Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I encourage it! I’m sure Rubh’a has other family members running around somewhere, and he acts like a cruel big brother to others more often than not, anyway. Family ties and friendships are always welcome (hell, give him an enemy or two, if you’d like!). This goes to say for any other character I may make, as well. Views on lore: Aaaah… I am still attempting to get accustomed to it. I try to keep it as relevant to my characters’ plots and backstories as I can. I am still in the learning process, so I must ask that you please have patience with me. s Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I suppose I would use them just as anyone else would? /tell = If we are in a party and I would like to speak to you exclusively, I would use this. /party = I would use this to speak to you if you and I were the only ones inthe party. I would also use this to address the entire party, as well, of course. /say = Would be used for idle comments to other players/strangers or toinitiate /em actions/regular emotes. 10. PFFFFFT. That was too perfect. (Lost kin, is that you?)
  11. I completely agree with Pat (if you're familiar with who is in this broadcast, that is). It would be a little naive to think that this was going to go as exquisitely smoothly as we'd all want it to, but the nice thing about this is that it's not going to last forever, right? The game has already improved so, so much, and as the optimist I am, I'd like to think that it can only keep getting better. THERE IS HOPE, YET. Also, excuse me as I freak over the fact that he was in Beta. jdfhkjhfd

    'SUP?

Thanks for the welcome, guys! I hope to have the pleasure of running into you some time when work isn't draining me to the bone, hahah. Also, all graphics are credited to Hyunseo. I wish I was able to create such wonderful quality.

    'SUP?

Hey, everyone! My name's Lienayo. I am the newborn of newborns when it comes to Final Fantasy. I haven't much experience with any of the games, but at the same time, it has felt like I've grown up with them, anyway. I've admired them without never really being able to play them (because, as you may see, I spent a good part of my childhood raising pokemon), but that can't really count, now can it? In my endeavor of experiencing a few titles in the months/years to come, I'm happy to say that FFXIV will be my first real taste of this world. Now that I've said that, I'm not completely clueless, I swear. I've been roleplaying since I was thirteen or so (er... eight years?) and have an infinite love for character creation and development and plot and ideas and it'sreallygreatIloveitall. I find that the best roleplaying partner that I could ever ask for has been, without fail, my significant other for the past three+ years, Hyunseo. It is because of Hyun that I am here, now, in fact! We had been awaiting to release of this game for over a year, having always dipped into any MMO we could get our hands on. I really look forward to being able to interact with not only the wonders of this world, but with some of you, as well! After failing to hop onto Balmung during the last beta phase, I finally got my character in during Early Access, so I will most likely be on whenever Hyunseo is.
