Qhon'ra Chalahko

I posted this over on Tumblr, but I thought it might be good to post it over here, as well. I really enjoy Twitter RP, you meet people you might not run across in-game, and well, here: I’ve seen this done for several games I’ve played and I’d like to have an IC Twitter project for FFXIV. Not sure if there’s one already, but if there is, let me know! In FFXIV, Twitter will act like an IC linkshell, allowing people to talk IC. Your character can say they picked up the “linkpearl” in any major city. Twitter will be for IC conversation only and is open to characters from any server. All I ask OOC is try to respect others. We all want this to be a fun, safe place to RP. Take OOC conversation to DMs or off Twitter. I will try to follow everyone from my character, @Qhonra.

I've noticed some of the timings are off, on cast bars versus the red markers. Some of the mobs, you have to be on the move the second they start casting. Others, as long as you're out of the red before the cast bar is gone, you're okay. I think there are some cast times they'll need to adjust eventually.

Age of Conan was fun. I was on an RP-PvP server and it was awesome. I actually logged in a little while ago and all my characters were still there, along with my mammoth. Forgot how big those things were.

Hello everyone, I'm a former FFXI player who's been playing WoW, Age of Conan, Aion, Diablo 3, TSW, SWTOR, and I also played FFXIV 1.0. I split my time between some of those games, depending on my mood and what I feel like playing. I'm not always IC, depends on my mood and what I'm doing at the time. Generally I prefer light or medium RP. Right now the only character I have worked out is Qhon'ra, who is going to be my main in FFXIV. He's a young thaumaturge (and future black mage, though he's not that far yet, since I rerolled him from my JP server to Balmung) and he's been posting his thoughts about Eorzea already on Tumblr, along with a lot of screenshots. I enjoy getting nice screenshots and tend to use them as slideshow desktop backgrounds. In real life, I work third shift, so I'm online in the afternoons and in the early mornings.

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I prefer light to medium RP and I am not always in character. PvE and PvP content are as important to me as RP content in a game. Views on RP combat and injuries: I prefer to work out in advance, OOC, what is going to happen and who will win an RP fight. I do not do roll-based RP fights or duel-based RP fights. Views on IC romance: I do not RP romantic relations. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Several of my characters are related to each other, and I am open to that sort of RP, as long as it is discussed with me first. Views on lore: I try to follow lore, but am open to bending it as long as it makes sense and is appropriate for the setting of FFXIV. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Say and emote are always IC. For linkshells, it depends on the linkshell what the rules will be. Whispers are usually OOC, but can be IC depending on if there are quotation marks involved and if my character is close to the one being whispered. III.
