The last person i spoke to about a Linkshell ran by people from this site, they told me i wasn't allowed to join. Saying it was Exclusive to officers and FC owners only.

I joined 3 linkshells so far, and all i have left or been kicked. People in these OOC linkshells are a-holes. They tell me the same thing, when i join. "If you want to rp, just tell us; we are always available for rp if we're online". When i offer, i do so all day, waiting for someone to acknowledge. No one ever does, and later when people start talking, i ask why i was ignored. All i get in response is that I'm a troll, and that i should just shut up, maybe we don't want to rp with you. I have yet to join a linkshell that hasn't treated me like that. I have not tried the intermission one, yet. But i was a little reluctant, due to my experiences so far.

Ok, i will squash this now. Since it seems people don't understand. I have gone in taverns, walked up to groups of people, etc. I have stood beside people in various venues, and posted things. I have been ignored, or walked away from. The people who don't yell at me for rudely butting in, have completely ignored my existence. It's the same problem i had in all my other MMOs before i quit. I'm either being called a troll, for trying to get in on people rping, who are standing around. Or the latter. Which is why I'm more passively searching for people now. I'm tired of the troll card, and ignoring. So i tried to change my tactic, hoping to get more positive responses. I know i have to put myself out there, and i have for years. But i have seen little good come from it. Which is why i was hoping this site would be of some help. I have only gotten PM's from two people from this site, in game. Both were rude to me, so they were blocked. But neither of them were you. If you added me, i would have been asked to confirm. I was never asked, so it wasn't me.

All my characters names were on my profile, up till now. Since i deleted. If it was just one person, i wouldn't have deleted. But it was an entire linkshell being a-holes. I was going to deal with that many people trying to ruin it for me. All my characters names have been on my profile since i signed up in September, but no one ever contacts me. So i figured no one wanted to bother. Hundreds of people read this post, not receiving a single message/add; is depressing. Every time i join an FC or LS, it always ends up the same.

The trolls are just as bad on A Realm Reborn, as they are on WoW. Don't you people have lives? I have to delete my favorite character now, because people choose to harrass me endlessly, and impede my Rp Progression. This is frustrating. This is the kind of bull that makes me want to just quit on Rp in MMO's all together.

Well, after a hiatus; I have returned. Looking for roleplay again, someone hit me up in game.

My bad, i was just informed of these replies via my Clone Thread for Balmung: Daylight Rp. The Alerts didn't contact me since this isn't my thread. I am balmung, and most daylight. I have made 2 attempts to show up at the Adventuring Guilds during the times specified. The first time all i found were naked men posing on the tables, not my bag. The second time, yesterday, i posted toward a few people that were rping for about an hour, but no one acknowledged. I wasn't about to whisper, i had that happen everyday for weeks in GW2, and found whispering only starts a fight. Yeah, my bad. The "alerts" only alerted me to the post on the thread i made. I guess it isn't set up to alert me of new posts on threads i have posted on, but didn't start myself. Thank you.

I too am having this issue. I joined the North American servers under the assumption that everyone would be planning things based on N/A time zones. But every Linkshell/Free Company i find seems to only be doing events and rp late night. Which isn't convenient for me lately. I left WoW because of the Endless Search for meaningful Rp, turning into a drudge through an erotic swamp. Now i'm having the issue of finding Rp at all during the day here. Sadly, we are both in the same predicament, but you are on Gilamesh as i am on Balmung. I chose Balmung in hopes that being legacy would mean more upstanding rp, and people to ask for help and knowledge. Instead of the new players specific server: Gilgamesh. I think they are both tied right now. Where as Balmung has more experience/knowledgeable members, Gilgamesh has more lower level population. -shrug-. But i can't bring myself to play on two servers.

Well it says the last post was done this month. So i guess you can't add a person if they are offline. I attempted to add Ross and Malk so i knew when they were on. But it said no one existed by that name. I'm in desperate need of an IC LS/FC. I'm a veteran roleplayer, but new to the FF world. I played FF 11, but only to about level 10. The Xp drain on death was too much to handle haha. I'm familiar only with little things that are shared between the FF games, such as GF's, spell names, moogles and such. But my knowledge of the actual LORE is a blank slate. I have been in search of deep RP for years on various MMO platforms, but have found it to be difficult, and frustrating; thanks to a large troll community on all MMO's. I fancy the asian background RP most, due to my interests in philosophy and history studies. But i am attempting to break away from that for FF. I spoke with a few people in USH, but they are a mixed group of RPers/Non-Rpers, and i don't like environments like that. Not to mention the classroom environment is made for all characters. Please feel free to contact me any time i'm on. I used to be on late night, but have since changed my schedule a bit. I'm on now from morning to about midnight, almost everyday. I don't care either way. I've played WoW for about 8 years, and i've had my problems on all realm i've tried. Trolls populate anywhere they can find prey. Though, i didn't get into rp on WoW till recently, i paid to move all my characters to Wyrmrest Accord, only to be met with a poor community, and more trolls then Rpers. At one time, i took a one year hiatus entirely. Rp, to me, is my only purpose for playing most mmo's. But that is because most MMo's are similiar. On WoW, i bought back into when MoP was released, because i loved the RP aspect of the neutral pandaren, and the heavy philosophical monks. But of course, it created more trolls to hate on "furries". So that enthusiasm didn't last long. I bought and tried to play FF11, but my knowledge of FF lore etc is lacking. Not to mention Forced Party Progression is tough, with most people being ***es online. It doesn't seem to be forced on ARR, plus the community so far is more friendly, aside from the occasional troll. But because it's different then what i'm used to, i was drawn to FFXIV:ARR. I haven't had a chance to try Balmung, because i figured there starting areas would be empty on Legacy Servers. But i'm tired of false News updates on character restrictions. I've been waiting for days to catch Balmung open to new character creation. They just updated the list as 11am PDT stating Balmung was open, but in-game it is not. I logged into Gilgamesh, but i didn't see a single roleplayer. Just a lot of bull, gil spammers, and typical haters.. If Gilgamesh has rp, where is it? High level zones? Why no love for Gridania etc. #sadpanda
