interesting post! Category A: You, OOCLY 1. Are there any any races you particularly love the opposite (or same) gender of? The models, the history, the lore, anything. I rather love the Elezen duskwrights myself, they have great potential same the hyur and rhoegan, dislike the miqot'es a tad but that sdue to the sheer volume of them. And I think ill have a great fun challenge to get my duskwright coupled to a wildwood due to their rocky passed and all. 2. How do you view interracial couples in -game-? Specifically, let's not get into a debate about whether or not it's 'gross' to you as a person or if there are too many people doing it. Sure why the hell not.. just I dont know about.. lalafells really.. probally because im worried they will use its. "childish and looks" for child rp etc. (it probally wont, but just how I feel / think ) but overall I say.. why the heck not go for it if it makes your char happy etc. 3. Do your OOC feelings towards a particular race make you more open or affect what your character is looking for when they're either flirting around, pursuing romance, or just, in general, acting differently towards those individuals. I suppose not..my character usually makes lewd comments regardless of gender / person / race.. but she generally only pursues elezen / hyur partners.. I ofcourse will admit im not the best rper and that sometimes my personal feeling get in the way of ic feelings but.. thats my issue. Category B: Your character 1. Does your character seek friends or partners based predominantly on race? Friends no.. but partners yes.. nimi's picky as hell and doubt she will find anyone that would really fit her unless made in that specific way, add to that she only would look at a female prospect thats why I pretty much set my char in a way that well she wont find it, and if she does its going to take alot of effort.. so to speak. 2. How does your character view interracial pairings and are their feelings different from your own? not really, my character scoffs the idea of love and partners. as she is quite.. cold shoulderd(does that sound right?) due to previous experiences, and pretty much thinks of love as a weakness that can get you killed. shes got a cynical view and will often retort when ask in a heavily sarcastic way,

AS the quoted posted above said indeed, alot of people have the wrong idea of romance rp or erp, alot of people tend to think its cybering or whatever.. well maybe it partly is.. but any I dont want to say good rper as that will make it sound elitist.. can detach themselves from the real life aspect and focus more on the character itself.. or.. BE the character.so thats its not you whos romancing i guess with another player its your character their.. significant other.. that being said.. its I believe harder to find a person that actually suits your character.. than to actually walk up and start dating random people.. wich actually now that I think about it would be sortoff funny. but back to the point I was trying to make.. wich I have forgotten.. I've done / do my share of erp i guess but only really when it makes sense or it leads to there rp wise..and even then I prefer to keep things on a private base. So im not saying hey everyone lets all gather for massives orgy's and what not.. seen too many miqo'tes doing that already. What i do mean ofc romance adds a whole new level of rp, it gets rather boring fast if all you do is rp fighting this and that, and oh lets go out for a drink spend an entire night in the pub, and rinse repeating that same thing again for months etc. anyway /rant off..

I have found that, either just join the EU linkshell and ask for rp (its just a collection of rpers) if your on balmung that is. Anyway: I found that just sending a tell to a walking person, or making some posts if you enter a bar and see some people sitting or "" seemingly"" standing for a long period. go with the flow kind of thing. other than that you can also view the search info on a player.. if it has a "" chat bubble"" behind their name in a search it has some added info usually it will be a rper I suppose, but ive seen others with.. weirder.. content.. Im probally in your boat aswell, I am not a fan of the walking up method i just prefer to walk around in town or sit at a bar make some posts and if i get no reaction move on, or go afk till someone else walks up and rp's or whatever really. All I can say.. most rper's are verry friendly people and wont bite your head off or do anything to make you feel bad in tells. in fact most of them would be verry accomidating, with either yes lets rp, or im a tad busy maybe later. wichever really! After being a rper for many years, ive seen good and bad rp sadly the latter usually outwheighing the good and sometimes makes me want to give up on it in general, but then im once again reminded why I do rp.. 1: to write.. I like writing i can sometimes write half a book over my characters or plot ideas and angles and such and love discussing such aswell with friends or potential rp partners. 2: made some of the best friends I have due to rp. 3: I can be a totally different person in rp..As i always said : you can be the biggest asshat in character. just be nice and respectfull to your fellow rpers oocly. hope it helps! ~nimi~
