  1. Aye, have been keeping an eye on the spam box, but there is nothing there. If I don't get a reply in the next 2 days I probably will call them, but I'm highly apprehensive of doing so due to international call rates, suspicion I'll be put on hold for 40 minutes racking up a huge bill, and the awkward timezones.
  2. Well eh.. Has anyone had experience in dealing with them before? I'm having some strange issue where my one-time password is somehow invalid (Suspect my account was compromised and the device changed). Having tried to figure it out for a few days and failing, I sent off an email to support, and after 2 days I got a reply that was clearly an automated response and did not address my problem at all. So, at the bottom there is a line detailing that this email can be replied to for further assistance, and I did... Only 4 days later, I have yet to receive a reply, despite their 48 hour reply promise. This has gone on for over a week now, happily munching into my remaining subscription days and honestly getting a bit miffed. I understand there must be a lot of tickets out there being so close to launch and the bot epidemic... But getting an automated reply and pretty much ignored leaves a bad taste - it's almost as bad as Blizzard support. I've never dealt with Squeenix support before, so, is stuff like this normal or am I just unlucky?
  3. Well, I don't have a single drop of artistic talent, but I would certainly be down for a spot of RP. I'm mainly be on later at night owing to my upside-down land timezone. Also, your art is amazing. Wowzers.
  4. Ooh this is interesting. Character: V'lannis Teuto Primary Weapon(s): Recurve bow Class-equivalent: Archer Style: Stealth Ambusher / Skirmisher Offense/Defense/Versatile: Versatile Strengths: Range, Surprise, Speed Weaknesses: Heavy armour, shields, fast-moving targets, homing / area of effect Spells Summary: Given her history of being something of a survivalist, V'lannis is fairly adept using a bow. Though in a combat situation, if she knows something is coming that needs to be taken down she'll usually spend the time to search for an advantageous position, usually a tall tree, rocky outcrop or heavily-wooded area that she can hide in and wait for the perfect moment to strike. However, if sprung or otherwise unable to prepare for an ambush, she'll switch to a 'run 'n' gun' style of skirmishing, keeping the pressure on the foe until she can land a mortal hit (Or any, if the arrows are poisoned), or be forced to retreat for one reason or another. Extra: If caught in close-combat or unable to use her bow, V'lannis would fall back on secondary weapons, those being her hatchet, climbing pick and knife. While these weapons are largely unsuitable, she would launch a relentless barrage of attacks making use of her exceptional agility, if only to tire or stagger her foe so that she can break off and run away.
  5. G'morns Hydaelyn Roleplayers, For the past few days I have been having a wee poke around a few areas in search of RP areas or hubs in an effort to meet some new folk, but I appear to be looking in the wrong areas or wrong time. So! What timezone is everyone generally on? I know most of you are from the United States, though times between the east and west coast vary a fair bit. Also, where might I find some nifty hangouts that preferably aren't overcrowded?
  6. With my current machine being a good 2.5 years old now, it'sreally starting to show it's age. With more bloody problems than I want to count, ranging from kernel errors, hardware failures and driver quirks causing all manners of havoc, I could swear this machine was cursed to seriously hate me. Pretty much every month without fail I get some irksome problem which I am always able to fix, but I'm getting a wee bit sick of having to do electronic CPR in it every month. Sooo.. Have been looking into getting a new machine,something pretty high-end to futurepad a little bit, jumping from a gen. 2 Intel core to a gen. 4, GTX 560ti to a GTX 770, and proper cooling to back it up. With a -lot- of graphically demanding titles having come outthis year, and with more to come I'd very much like to be able to see them in their full glory with a stable framerate. Also, a nifty little tool for comparing graphics cards - http://www.hwcompare.com/
  7. Having tried a new style of character for V'lannis rather than my usual type of structuring, it has to be this. nsf1Rh0klBw
  8. Ah for me, it's mainly been the big two that gobble up every little bit of my time, those two being.. Rome 2 - Slaying filthy barbarian massive and dirty Romans in the name of glorious Carthage, true rulers of the Mediterranean! War Thunder -
  9. I've been itching to make a conjurer for this reason exactly, only problem being I can't decide on an appearance or name for the character. ;_;
  10. Welcome! Might see you 'round on Gilgamesh - will say g'day!

    Ahoy

    G'day Hydaelyn RP. Well, uh, I'm bad at introductions, so... About me. I live in Australia, land of deadly wildlife, bloody awful internet and inconvenient timezones. I've been an avid mmo roleplayer for a good six years now, having RPed in World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2 and The Secret World briefly. I came to Final Fantasy XIV in search of something new asthe roleplaying community on my Guild Wars 2 server had become incredibly insular and hostile, leaving it a seriously unpleasant place to be - not to mention the game itself becoming rather stale (Just hit max level? I sure hope you like grinding!). From what I've seen so far in FFXIV, the roleplayers on Gilgamesh (And other servers too, I'm sure) are quite friendly and outgoing - I even had a chap drop in on a pal and I while we were RPing out in the world - I had almost forgotten random world rp was a thing. 'Twas a great start, and looking forward to potentially seeing some of you ingame.
