I really need to get back into watching more anime. I'm waiting patiently for the all new Sailormoon - which is going to stream worldwide! I used to read manga in French to improve my french reading skills :3 Read Basara like that and a few volumes of Fushigi Yuugi and some short story collection. Anyone else a big fan of J-drama? ;p or K-Drama, for that matter! It's sorta supplanted anime in my viewing selections

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium to Heavy (will swap to OOC for gameplay purposes and comfortable RPing with more casual RPers) Views on RP combat and injuries: Can be fun when all the participants are "in" on it, but can also veer into god-modding Views on IC romance: Huge fan here, as long as OOC/IC barriers are understood! Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Another big -yes-! Views on lore: Lore is a great framework for our stories/characters and we should try to work within it as much as possible. That being said, there may be instances where there is no "canon" answer for something. As long as something is plausible within the existing lore, I'm all for RPers having their own twist on things. Can't change existing lore, of course, but sometimes there's some room for some reasonable elaboration! Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Depends on the channel and any stated rules for said channel. I feel /say and /yell are always IC, but you may have an OOC linkshell channel for socialisation/etc. If you are using a typically IC channel, brackets are a plus for showing OOC tidbits ( ((oops, cat jumped on keyboard)) etc). Same goes for whispers; I tend to consider them IC unless bracketed. III. Greetings everyone! I've been lurking around here for a bit but figured I'd introduce myself :-) I just recently picked up FFXIV. My husband has been playing since 1.0 and is on a legacy server that was converted into the Japanese group (I guess) with the relaunch. He might be switching over here, but he's definitely -not- an RPer! I came across this website when I was trying to figure out what was the unofficial RP server for FF14. I've rolled on Balmung since it seems to offer a nice mix of legacy + new folks. I've played most of the major MMOs out there - played FF11 with my husband for awhile (when we were just GF/BF!), WoW tons, Rift, LOTRO, etc. I've RP a bunch in WoW and some in Rift/LOTRO. I'm not a big storyline generator, but I love to participate in others' plots. Most of my RP interest is character-focused and my characters tend towards the ordinary (with a twist). I've been playing with one character - hyur female named Lucie Malvent - on Balmung so far. I'm getting the vibe that she's more of a bookish type, shy, but ready to learn some more confidence. Still fleshing out her story; I like to get to know the character in the process of leveling them :-) I look forward to RPing with everyone!
