  1. I of course googled it, and there is a pic on the first page of Meowth with one of its... um... ah.... teats in his mouth. :(:(:(:(:( cannot unsee
  2. I want Qin to meet Lyra'to so, so, so badly. I think he'd have a lot to try to teach him. He is also a Keeper who left his tribe as a boy and has an affinity for magic, but is a smooth talker and loves to try to pick up women. The whole issues with courtship thing would be hilarious... and both of them could definitely learn something. Hit me up for RP anytime. I'm usually on from 5 to 8 EST. 8-)
  3. Late to the thread but adding my voice. I also had a heck of a time finding info on Keepers... so I had Qin run away from his tribe at a young age, take up with a Lallafellian merchant who gave him a new name, and become a traveling merchant / snake oil salesman. Qin's personality doesn't gel well with the whole tribal, close-to-nature thing, so it worked out well. That's probably NOT what you were looking for, but there's always ways to work with lack of lore info, hehe.
  4. Exactly. Some people think they need every little minutiae worked out before they even log in for the first time. I find this stifling and overwhelming, so I start with a "seed." For Qin, when I started playing him for the first time at the launch of WoW's Burning Crusade (oh, memories), I knew I wanted a character who had taken a name that wasn't his own for the purpose of penance, exactly like like David Qin from the fabulous graphic novel series Strangers in Paradise. That was it. That was my "seed." I created him and logged in. Within the first week of interacting with my husband's characters as well as other friends, Qin went from benevolent to manipulative. The seed was there - he put on a facade and was penitent for a horrific crime he had committed in the past - but him being a "good guy" held up for about three seconds. Eventually Qin grew to a con-man street-corner preacher who had the Forsaken under his thrall. The point is I never thought he would go in that direction, but as I was RPing, he developed. I couldn't have fleshed him out without RPing. It's good to start with the basics - like where your character is from, his name, et cetera - but the minutiae will come later. :dazed:
  5. Last I heard, the LS had been capped. Is there another one rolling? If so, please, please send me a pearl - I also need to make some friends! :moogle:
  6. Hi all! I'm a former 1.0 player who played so sporadically on 1.0 (just could not enjoy the game - I like ARR sooo much better~) that I never really had a chance to make any lasting connections. I really want to get into the RP scene with a brand new character! I played Malcolm Foxe for a while but decided to start fresh on Balmung with Qin Stillwater, my smarmy traveling snake-oil salesman. I have lots of experience RPing and doing endgame content in WoW and TOR. See you in-game! :chocobo:
