Hello everyone, I tried my best to contact everyone that I had known in FF14, after the fact of leaving DWC due to a disagreement. I see that DWC has also disbanded which is sad to see. I did enjoy my time there. I wanted to give a shoutout to people I knew and hope to all have a good time wherever you find yourself. I thought to upload the pics that Aimo made for Fitz, as there were some people didn't see. This will be the last time I visit here. Thank you all for letting me have a wonderful time RPing in FF14. I know that Busy makes you not get tells, cannot be traded with, or join a party. Essentially useful if you just want to craft in quiet. I think AFK just doesn't have you get tells, but I could be wrong. Right now, the most we have is editing our information people see when they Search. I would love such a flag though, like some games have [Role Player] and [Anon] flags, etc.

Hmn. Perhaps knowing a bit more of what type of focus you would want the 'evil' character or FC to be is a good start. In LoTRO, I played a villian character. A guard caught in the midst of a scandal, but instead of turning himself in, he ran. He got caught up in the 'evil' of the land, though inherently he wasn't evil. But he felt there was no way back, so he joined an evil guild etc. But playing a villian can also burn a person out. So many stories I can tell you that RP was ruined because the 'good' side EXPECTED the 'evil' side to just give up and lose. How much fun is that? Not very much I will tell you. History even shows that 'evil' has and can win over 'good'. So finding that middle ground is very important. I think if one were to create an 'evil' guild, you would need a cover. GW2 has such a guild I was in, where their cover was a well run and established inn/tavern. But under it all was a well oiled machine of assassination plots, planned robberies, and more. People were put through rigorous applications and looked at closely ICly to make sure they could handle being there and were a good fit. Even their website reflected this as certain areas opened only when you were of the right rank. I wish you luck! Gilgamesh could use more 'evil' types, even if it is to meddle in the affairs of the 'good' people of Eorzea.

You are always more than welcome to come into Driftwood's hall! We are looking to have more officers and members hang out there to RP or craft, so you are never a bother. If you ever see Arry Dresdyn there, make sure to give him some bacon! .... he likes bacon. You can possibly find Framboise Zakuro there too. She's a great healer though a little shy. Good cook though! And of course, you more than likely will find Fitz guarding the door. Either way, send us a tell, walk up and chat, RP, etc. We will never turn anyone away (of course, unless we're already busy or something heh)

For me, time is fluid. IG time, a minute is about 4 of our seconds (I counted it, so feel free to do so as well). Which can make it a little odd having an RP that lasts 2 hours IRL be like a few days IG. So I don't ever use that. When it comes to RP on the forums or in MSN or Skype, I don't have a set time unless it must happen before or after a certain event. That's really when time matters to me. Other than that, not really.

Hmn. If you are interested in such, send me a PM here. I might have someone you can talk to about it, but I'd have to get their okay first, as they are still in some planning stages of such types of FCs/RP stories.

If you find yourself on Gilgamesh, I would be happy to assist in your story building. I am open to things such as this in any form of RP. Normally Fitz is found in Ul'dah, but who is to say he doesn't stop by Limsa (as I have a plot that he is looking for people getting illict and dangerous items to give to brigands in the Sagolii Desert). When I started on Gilgamesh, they helped me settle in and pointed me in directions of FCs that would fit my character. As Fram suggested, Phoenix Down is a great LS for magic users, so do look into that as well. It might help you develop your character some too! For duck sake. I already knew the glamour system was designed with end-game play in mind, but this is ridicolous. We can't glamour things while we level up. This has to be the most annoying and arbitrary restriction they have implemented yet. Yes, this is frustrating. I wanted to check out the Hildebrand quests but found out .. had to beat the main story. I did eventually with help from my FC mates and friends, but things like this ... the glamour ... should be available to everyone. Also, I am guessing that there are some limitations to this? See if I can explain what I mean. RPly, Fitz wears glasses, a head item. But I want him to have the best armor on, which for a PLD is the trashcan (gear that is chest and locks out head) So even if I use the glamour to put say, the skin of the Cobalt armor onto my chest piece (so the graphic shows my head) and I put on glasses, the chest pops off? If so, disappointing but I'll live. ===== That is true. Pre-50 players do go through armor sets, but that should not be a factor to keep people who find a set they like not be able to use it as a glamour! Heck, in my 40s I loved my cobalt set. Even in my teens or so I had some sets I loved to wear RPly. So why do I need to be forced to be level 50 and beat the main story? This is more a side thing than something that continues after the Main Scenario. It's a person's choice if they want to use it or not, so having it available at level 15 or so (like getting retainers) would be a better option IMO.

Fitz is a midlander through and through, so don't worry. *pokes Chiyo* Whatchu want made girl! I can bring some materials with me, or craft some foods etc before hand.

Took a moment to clarify a few things in the post, as well as to give it a bump for perusal.

I shall be there unless RL keeps me from it. What are you looking in the ways of crafting, stuff to be made, etc? If so let me know. My professions are around 20-30 so I can make some things.
