  1. I had the same confusion, but had no issues. Worth it.
  2. ew it's matthrian -z-snaps everywhere-
  3. "I'm going to finish my character profile picture and information before the transfer cooldown finishes," I said. "I'll sign up already prepared!" Well, I failed at that, but to heck with it. I'll make do with a barebones profile for now. So, hi! I just ate the cost for a transfer onto Balmung because I value sleep and I'm on the East coast. Way back at launch I was originally on Gilgamesh for RP, but I've got a lot less time now and decided to settle on Balmung for the time being (and because all my friends are there, of course). I'm a newer RPer, I've only been at it for about six years now and I've solely done MMO RP. I started in Warcraft and I've jumped around a lot: Rift, Neverwinter, TERA, SWTOR, and TESO. I currently still play TESO, though the smaller community has me multigaming for RP, for once. Presently I'm leveling up a new character despite the grind, though I'm easily distracted. I like to do digital art when the whim strikes me, and it's currently being balanced with coding a new theme for tumblr for this character because I hate myself that much to take it all on at once. Gg me. I play an ex-pirate attempting to find a regular life and failing at it spectacularly. She's a Hyur and I'm always looking for new RP buddies. Anyways, I actually did have a question or two, hence the title. I remember there being OOC linkshell channel things for finding RP and overall chatter. This was on Gilgamesh, though -- does Balmung have those, and if so, who do I poke? I browsed the linkshell hall but I still wanted to double check. Looking forward to meeting y'all in Eorzea! (And pardon any autocorrect blunders, posting during my break, rofl.)
  4. And we'll happily welcome you back. My best suggestion would be to post again in this thread the next time you are both on, and we'll try to get you both in somewhere. Generally, the largest amount of people on are in the evenings here in the States, and if it comes to it you can just search for me (I have no life and am generally on each evening. >.>), and I'll see what I can do. I shall keep an eye out for you, as well! I have PMed the leader of the channel, and hope to get the situation resolved soon.
  5. Welcome to Gilgamesh and the RPC! ^^ I too married someone I met on Warcraft. >.> Warcraft, the new match game. Our hotspots have been jumping around as of late, I can barely keep up with them myself. Generally in the cities (except Gridania, no one ever goes to Gridania for some reason) during the evenings over here on the State-side, though there is also a good amount in the housing areas and across our events. I, too, am interested in your FC idea. We need moar FCs. Please feel free to poke me in-game, and likewise, I shall keep an eye out for you!
  6. Black Hat has it best: if you can't decide, the best thing to do is to cruise on both servers for a bit. That's usually my suggestion to these threads. Also, welcome to the RPC! ^^ If/when you appear on Gilgamesh, please, do not hesitate to poke me.
  7. Welcome to the RPC and Gilgamesh! ^^ Looking forward to seeing you in game. Please, do not hesitate to poke me, and I shall keep an eye out for you. :3
  8. Welcome to the RPC and Gilgamesh! I shall keep an eye out for ya'! Likewise, feel free to find me and pester me at anytime. I don't bite, promise. :3
  9. Welcome to the RPC and Gilgamesh! Lalafell are a race that sorely need more love. Great to have another person giving it a go! Please, don't hesitate to poke me in game, and I shall likewise keep an eye out for you. ^^
  10. I think I actually saw you at some point in Ul'dah, and wondered if that name would be a RPer. Welcome to the RPC and Gilgamesh! Please, don't hesitate to poke me in-game, and I'll keep an eye out for you as well. Always nice to meet a new friend!
  11. Unfortunately the leader of the channel has been preoccupied irl, and we've been unable to flush the channel of inactives. Most everyone in the channel has invite powers now, but you cannot kick people who are secondary leaders unless you are the main leader. There are secondary OOC channels that those interested can be invited to, and we can see who we can make space for in the main channel. If y'all who still need invites could list your playtimes so we could work out the situation (as the list of people with invite powers is very... very long, and we know you do not want to player search that many people >.>), that would be much appreciated. ^^
  12. Welcome to Gilgamesh and the RPC. ^^ Please feel free to ping me in-game, and I'll keep an eye out for you!
  13. Welcome to the RPC and welcome back to Gilgamesh. ^^ Please feel free to find me in-game, and likewise, I'll keep a lookout for you. Limsa was our hotspot for some time, but the hotspots are gradually moving more towards the housing areas and even a bit to Ul'dah. They seem to change by the night, these days!
  14. Whoa, all right, let's hold the phone and explain a bit more about Gilgamesh. Our community here is smaller. We did not have the boon Balmung had from legacy players, and when the servers were locked and people wanted to RP in-game, an alternative was found. Not everyone wants to up and move when not everyone can or is willing to, and people have laid roots. As such, we are a growing community. That means the community members here have to put in a lot of work to get meaningful experiences. You get what you put in. Because we are smaller, we are a bit harder to find. We are there, of course, but we are definitely not as big as Balmung. Most of our community is State-side or similar. We have very few EU players, or folks in GMT in general. I'm not trying to tell you or anyone else to join Gilgamesh; in fact, you, OP, do sound like Balmung would fit you better, if only based by your available times. Gilgamesh does not fit everyone's cup of tea, but it does have people who care for it greatly as it is. Please don't put us down.
  15. Hello, welcome to the RPC! Hope you've been having fun running Coil, but I will never turn down a new roleplayer. Please, feel free to find in-game, and likewise, I'll keep an eye out for you! :3
