I used my free Fantasia because I was too lazy to remake my character in the morning hours... Darn server locks! Actually, part of the reason I went with "Frost Maiden" was so that I could just change my race on a whim, and the name would still probably fit. Thanks for some of the tips everyone!

Hello, I am Frost Maiden, and I am an Altoholic! I'm trying real hard to dedicate a character as 'the one'. I think Frost Maiden is fun; however, I always hear those whispers when I'm left with nothing to do, suggesting things such as, "Oh! But what about this as an Elezen?" This problem is persistent to the point where I've never max leveled on a MMORPG except once! (I spiraled out of control after that.) My indecisiveness lately has been very off putting to those that I know, and I feel like it has been spiraling out of control! So I was wondering what were some good tips to stay focused on a singular character and not to get distracted by a bunch of possibilities, and instead focus on creating a reality. Because I like all the races so much (especially Elezen and Roegadyn) that whenever I'm on one, I just find myself longing the other. Ah! If only I had the time in my life to have it all~ Anyways, I suppose the point of the discussion to see if there was any other altoholics out there, and if they could maybe tell me their ways to stay focused on just one character! Thank you!

It usually depends on the person for me, and how comfortable I am around others! If it's someone new, I'll try to be formal with mistakes. If it's someone I am comfortable with, then I might joke around and tease!

She is pretty interesting, and I'll definitely keep an eye out for you, Faye! I'm still trying to figure out quirks and stuff to her, but she is shaping up to be quite the personality! Coincidentally, you were the first character profile I actually looked at on the wiki (I immediately went to the F section), and I thought your character was really neat! I've actually been finding a lot of Roegadyn now that I am one, which is super crazy! I also have a Duskwight Elezen I'll probably play from time to time named Giselle Poisson, but I cannot figure out what in the world I want her to be like. And don't worry, U'roh, I love Miqo'te! I like all the races, I wish I had the time to play all five!

I read somewhere about "no empty profiles", and I'm concenred I might need to do it all at once! I've never posted a wiki thing before! And a Roegadyn channel!? Neat, I did not know this! Thank you for the welcome everyone! I heard that Roegadyn aren't very common from a friend of mine that is helping me learn the ropes! It's a little sad because they're so awesome! It was a toss up between Duskwight Elezen and Sea Wolf Roegadyn for me, but I decided that Roegadyn was the way to go! I preferred their hair styles a little more~ *Shallow* Plus, being so large is awesome! I looked up the wiki page as suggested, and I want to create a page but it seems so intimidating! I looked at all these other examples, and they seemed so well thought out! I don't think I know enough about the game lore yet to make anything substansial! I'd definitely love to RP with all of you! I usually play in the afternoons and on the weekends!

I actually introduced myself on another character months ago, but I only played for a week before some stuff came up! I did not RP a single time in game! I'm hoping to have more time to stay long term now, and I made a fresh new character I wanted to play for the Balmung server! <3 --MMORPG background I played FF11, WoW, and SWTOR! And now I'm here! --RP experience I've RPed for nearly ten years now. Forums, MMORPGs, chatrooms. It's fun! I'm not the best writer, but I'd be a lot worse if it wasn't for my love for RP! --Character ideas/info I love the Sea Wolf look, I love the Sea Wolf vibe what with the whole sea thing going on. But I hate their names! So I decided that although my character has a Sea Wolf name that won't be displayed, she will be known as the Frost Maiden. Frosty is competitive and outgoing! She likes to fish, cook, and fight! Only one of which she does well! She can be very scornful toward those that insult her, but she is genuinely a good person that will lend a hand to those in need. Even if it does she just does it for the attention, while she brags and boasts of her deeds! Frosty was nick named the Frost Maiden in her early days as a sailor because she got frozen in ice, and had to be thawed out! She kinda likes the cold anyways, and it beat a nickname like "arsehole" so she went with it! I'm definitely going to need to RP her some and get more of a feel of how serious I want her to be before I can make this anymore detailed~ --How did you learn about the coalition? Googled "FF14 RP" a few months ago! --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? Medium probably! I mean... I want to level and play the game, and I might goof around when I'm in party chat and stuff! But I still plan to buckle down and RP, enjoying a nice story and having a good time when I'm able! Plus, I have this bad habit of running in circles in town when I'm bored and don't know what to do, and I don't think that would translate very well with always being in character! --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I am a mathematics major as well as a math tutor at my college. I intend to graduate this spring, and I am looking to be a high school math teacher while also moving on to graduate school. I enjoy video games, MMORPGS, and RP! Well, my Roegadyn is still around, I just don't think she will be my main is all! Once I figure out a personality for her, I'll probably RP and play her on occasion. I didn't know FF8 was released for Steam, but I have FF7, FF8, and FF9 on the PSN for my PS3. I'm usually the Raijin in RPs, so being the loner will be a new and exciting challenge for me.

I got the game half off back on Monday, but I haven't been able to play much until this weekend! I've always really enjoyed Final Fantasy games, MMORPG background My first MMORPG was FF11, but I never RPed on it. It was perhaps my favorite MMORPG I've ever played. I played WoW on Moon Guard for a few years, but I gave that up for SWTOR. I played that on Ebon Hawk for awhile, but then I stopped playing MMORPGs in general for about a year and a half. Until now! RP experience I started RPing on forums back in September 2004, so I've had a little over nine years of RP experience. I've RPed on chatrooms, forums, and MMORPGs. I've never RPed anything based on Final Fantasy before, and I have absolutely no knowledge of the FF14 lore so it's going to be a struggle to learn! Character ideas/info I actually made a Sea Wolf Roegadyn before this character, leveled her to about 15, and then realized, "ARGH! I screwed up how I wanted her to look!" Which stinks because I spent like two days figuring out how to play her! But I secretly didn't have any RP ideas for her anyways, so I think I was also looking for an excuse to make an Elezen. Unfortunately, my Elezen won't be the most social character out there! I haven't actually RPed her yet, but my goal is to make her a bit of a loner. She is going to be a lot like Fujin from FF8 in the sense that she won't say much, and will try to give terse, one word answers. The hope is that someone will care enough to break her out of her shell? Maybe? Haha! How did you learn about the coalition? I did a google search of "FF14 RP". What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? I like to classify myself as "medium"! I love story and continuity, and I try my best to stick to the lore of the game. Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I'm going to college to major in applied mathematics with a secondary teaching certificate. I'm also an employed tutor at my college for freshman and sophomore level math courses. I'm very busy during the college semester, and sometimes I won't be able to play for weeks at a time! But, since the holiday break is upon me, I have the next month off! I enjoy puzzles, RPing, games, and grape jelly! I -really- like the color green! Yup, so that's all about me, um... Despite the long winded introduction, I'm actually kind of shy and introverted, so I need all the help meeting new people that I can get! :3
