  1. Except that the majority of in-game lore and representation of Miqo'te shows they pretty much are Hyur with cat features. The cultures of Eorzea are homogenized. It's a cultural mixing pot that has been around each other for thousands of years. I grow tired of seeing so many people latch onto this misconstrued notion that Miqo'te are still prominently tribal in nature because they aren't. The only tribe of Sunkeepers represented in-game are the exception rather than the rule. 95% of Miqo'te NPC population has nothing to do with tribes, including all prominant Miqo'te NPC's involved with the storyline. So people who play Miqo'te as Hyur with cat ears and a tail. They're doing it right.
  2. The enmity increase on Defiance and increased enmity elsewhere is because Warriors now will be throwing out non-emnity combos A LOT more often. Now that we have a good reason to use Storm's Path to apply a damage debuff to enemies. This means Warriors will now be throwing out a Storm's Path combo and a Storm's Eye combo often, meaning less Butcher's Block combos. This has been mentioned earlier in this thread as well. Additionally now that they're receiving 20% more healing that's making the Healer's spells create more enmity as well.
  3. Or you could just ctrl+f and search for gilgamesh or balmung and find out quickly without reading through entire things...
  4. The thing about racial stereotypes is that they're often created upon a real world basis, which in this particular setting, goes against the established in game racial stereotypes quite a bit. This issue is quite strongly seen towards lalafell. Within the game's setting the inhabitants do not portray the same kind of racial stereotypes towards lalafell as player characters often do and this leads to quite honestly a lore defying image of how lalafell are.
  5. Thank you guys for the compliments! I'll try to draw more in my free time. Paladin armor has this weird hood looking thing on the back part of the tabard. Dunno if it's actually a hood or not, but I drew Folken with it pulled up just cause.
  6. Really need to start drawing more again. Will likely be doodling things from RP scenarios I participate in!
  7. -grabs torch and pitchfork- What was that you said?
  8. Haven't really art'd too much lately. Nothing significant really.
  9. It's not really a retcon when it was never correct in the first place
  10. I'm about to kill this thread. There is no Ruby Carbuncle. Arcanist only gets 2 summons. Summon at level 1, and Summon II at level 15. Summon III is Summoner only, and is the Ifrit Egi gained at level 30. There is no carbuncle equivalent. This is also why Scholar only gets 2 fairies, because they do not get an additional summon spell at 30.
  11. Considering they take on "colorful nicknames" would lead me to believe they either don't have surnames in the traditional sense, or that said surnames are of little importance in comparison to one's deeds. Like your example, Erikson. One would think a Highlanders chosen nickname would be what they would be referred to more than their first name. As it is their reputation. So having Erikson on the end would likely bring little honor or glory to the individual, as his father, Erik, would have been likely more known by his title name. However, this doesn't necessarily mean it's a rule. The most important NPC Highlander is Raubahn Aldynn. And so, unless there's some old lore that mentions his surname of Aldynn, it doesn't really seem like a title, or a family name, or whichever. So I'd say it's still pretty open in terms of interpretation.
  12. Hahaha thanks! xP And if you can't get it to show, here's a link to it Picture
  13. Backstory doodley doodle. Spoilered for mild blood and violence.
  14. I'd also go with the hyur. Mainly because I've seen that miqo'te at the very least a dozen times. That hairstyle is overused tremendously on all races. Whereas the Hyur one, that style is actually limited to just midlanders. Makes for a more unique appearance in my opinion.
