  1. much like Fates, Im a long time WoD player/GM - Ive played pretty much every venue they've come out with at least once - and I also agree..old world is far superior in most regards, except for Changeling. The Lost is everything the Dreaming should have been from the get go. Old world Mage, Hunter and Werewolf, were my venues of choice, with a little Mummy and some Gypsies thrown in there for good measure! The new world stuff, in my opinion are just lacking..except Changeling. Love me some Lost. I ran a Hunter game that lasted 4 years..good times! Fates - what's your IRC chat? I've done "javachat" based online WoD games long long ago..
  2. I have no idea what this has to do with Ingress? o.0
  3. The huntress inhaled at the rise of elemental magic. It too had a scent, a distinctness unlike anything else and how people wielded it, was also distinct. It gave each person a very unique signature of magical smells. She'd at some point managed to stretch out again, a very feline gesture, with her chin propped in a hand and her tail curling around her in a lazy sort of manner. "Oh surprises, how exciting!" Her tone wasn't enthusiastic so much as playful. As the twilight faded and night crept in, her energy levels seemed to be rising as fast as his were depleting. Of course, she hadn't spent the day boxing... With mild curiosity, she watched the wounds mend, ears swiveling every so often. "How long have you been a healer?" The words clearly directed at the elezen woman.
  4. The sun. Ah, the sun - that treacherous, too bright, too hot ball of annoyance in the sky. Did she have a problem with the sun? She had to think about that for a moment....it was a long moment. "I do enjoy beaches, however, given my nature I would not be at my best during the brightest hours of the day. I'm nocturnal, Red. Keeper of the Moon. The between times..sunset, sunrise..those are alright times but I work best in the dark of night. I -can- stay awake during the day, when necessary..I just don't like it". She shrugged lightly. Nature being what it was and times being what they were, her sleep patterns were terribly disrupted already.
  5. It is data heavy yes - I didn't think of that - good warning even if it did come from a *cough*brainwashed*cough* green agent. Teasing aside, seriously - it's a terribly fun addiction. My hubs and I just started playing in our area and have managed to suck in 5 (so far) of our friends and family thus far...it's also a great excuse to get out and move and see local points of interest in your community (museums, artwork, parks, historical sites) that have been tagged with "portals".
  6. Seda had caught the offered flute as it sailed leisurely her way, emitting a faint chuckle as she examined it - half an eye on the daydreaming highlander. The ocean air, the mixtures of individual smells around her, sweat and now drying blood; these had been filtered long enough now that they were in the back of her senses. It was easy to pick out the newest one, being far different from the others. Nervousness mixed with something very clean. Golden eyes pulled from the pair she'd been chatting with to come to rest on the approaching Elezen woman. A polite nod was given to her as Fen decided he had some other place to be and wandered off. The sound of Baer coming out of his state of thinking brought her back and she listened to him reply to her earlier question. Another nod then, the faintest grin exposing elongated canines. "Well then, I do believe I'm interested in filling that vacancy - I don't have size on my side, but I'm quick enough in body and mind. This will be an interesting endeavor". The subtle tone carried along in the undercurrent of his voice softened those lion like golds for a moment. "After a few days rest, of course". She offered a polite verbal greeting to the small elezen woman when she was close enough to not have to call out, "Evening".
  7. If you haven't heard of it yet; and you have an Android phone with interwebs..check out Ingress in the Google Play store. The gist of it - aliens have secretly invaded. Mankind has fallen into two factions. The Enlightened who seek to use the alien tech, et al to make humans "better" and the Resistance, who obviously, want to keep mankind safe from alien mind control. You choose a side and then it's a great big world wide mobile game of capture the flag meets competitive Foursquare. I will warn you now, it's addicting. Lots of fun though - Do eeeeet! PS: Viva la Resistance!
  8. Welcome to the community!!
  9. Best of luck in your endeavor!!
  10. I imagine that while the Red Cross has their heart in the right place, most people find this idea to be absurd. Most civilized countries have laws regarding war crimes that are very specific and quite frankly - whomever thought this up has no concept of reality. Video games, while violent and often depicting death, do not result in the real world equivalent of dead people. Without an -actual- crime, I don't see how anyone could be held accountable for war crimes in this manner. Not to mention that a vast majority of first person shooters are played by teenagers and young adults - to think that anyone would seriously consider incarcerating hundreds of thousands of children because they play video games blows my mind. It sounds to me more like some guy's personal vendetta against gamers.
  11. ((I think this idea is really very interesting!))

  13. Elisan considered her reply as she sipped the remains of the contents of her cup, "The culture of magic among the people where I am from is a heavy one. It is fostered from a very young age and when I developed an affinity for certain things, I was sent to those who could teach me best until it was..decided..that I should find my own way". Really, it was the most polite way to say that she was in essence, tossed out on her rump. She smiled gently at him and shrugged again. "I've started learning under the thaumaturges here now".
  14. I would like to extend an invitation to all of you wonderful people who may be interested ...my middle son is in his 2nd year of Cub Scouts now and it's Popcorn Time! If you would like to purchase some very (really, especially the jalapeno cheddar) good popcorn and help us support our pack, please go here: Pecatonica River Popcorn. If you decide to order, or make a donation to send popcorn to our troops overseas, please be sure to include my son's scout seller id: 33BN392. Thank you for viewing my spam and hopefully, for helping our pack! -Eli
  15. ^^ this. A hundred times over, this. Theodric hit the name on the head. Quantity does not equal Quality. Great RP takes not only time but effort to find. Sometimes, you have to be the one to reach out and make the connections, even if it bends your character's "personality" to do so (mostly in the cases of extremely shy/introverted character concepts). Otherwise, you're going to be sitting around not enjoying yourself and no one wants to play a game they don't enjoy!
