Skadoosh! Very well done indeed. Every picture is an improvement upon your last.

I told you that outline would be good =p. That tablet needs to get there faster so I can start helping you with PS! I think more then anything, I like the fur. Looks like fur.

Wow, that came out spectacular. Great job!
-
great idea! As Mtoto said, very clean line work. I think I shall be following this closely =)

Very cool shading on that 'elegant' Siobhain, Deirdre!!!!! :jump:

Welcome welcome. I am pretty new here myself but it is overall a nice place. I like to browse all the art forums =). It is good to see more RP oriented people around though. The more the merrier.

If I were a Miqo'te my ears would have perked up at the mention of Limsa Lominsa music. Alas, I am Hyur, but still ecstatic about the Limsa Lominsa music. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

And you were worried....psh. Outstanding!

That is one amazing job! Deirdre is now the proud owner of a stunningly great picture!

Feral Ren is from Ishgard herself, and is an officer in the Maelstrom. This would make Brand a subordinate - though if you bribe her with juicy drake steaks, maybe she'll go easy on you... :3 ahhh nuuuuuuuu. lol. Well, being a cook, a must have in order to make delicious fish meals, I am sure I could make some drake steaks =).

Very cool. Coming along nicely. I saw the character creation alpha video; I like their use of the Prelude song in it. I am going enjoy making my character very much with that music playing =)

I am not super artsy or anything in the 2d world, and I have only recently joined the forums, but Ravyne is/was a full fledged Dragoon from Ishgard before Dalamund fell and still reluctantly acts that part when needed. If the Dragoon spot is still open, and you would be willing to put me in such a slot then I am game. Ravyne is a Midlander Hyur.(working on my wiki right now!) Danke! I shall shower you with gratitude elsewhere.

Not to speak up for Siobhain, as she can respond to the vast majority of those long and helpful posts, but we(Divine Aegis) are indeed working on a forum. What that is used for is ultimately up to the head honchos, but I am the one building it, when time permits, lol. It is coming though! The suggestion for making it an HQ for IC purposes is definitely a good one and something I am sure we can make happen! I would like to see something like that, and if Siobhain does, then we won't have trouble convincing the GM.

Thank's a bunch =). I appreciate it.

I. Basic Info Characters: Ravyne Helbarde Primary character: Ravyne Helbarde Linkshells: Divine Aegis Primary RP linkshell: Divine Aegis II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Light-Medium, at least initially. I need to get in to the groove of it all, and get better. Then I can put more time in to it when I am more confident. Views on RP combat and injuries: I do my best to making any sort of combat even sided, unless it was pre-planned to be one sided. My first RP ever was a combat RP, and I sustained a broken arm and a trip to the infirmary right before a crucial mission. I try to look at it with realism, or like a move sequence. It just makes sense to get wounded from time to time. No one is perfect, people make mistakes all the time, and combat in real life happens very quickly and you do things out of instinct, not thought, which means more mistakes are made. Mistakes turn in to injuries. Views on IC romance: I think that IC romances tread fine lines if OOC circumstance are not aligned with the stars. The trouble comes when one person starts to take it OOC, when it wasn't there to begin with. It can start OOC drama and can lead to some bad things. However, if say two people are dating or married in real life, and they pursue an IC relationship, the rules are no different than their real life relationship. It can work out as well as their actual relationship or it can work out as poorly as their actual relationship, though we hope it is the former=). However, you do not need to be in an OOC relationship to make an IC relationship work out. Two people who can distinguish between OOC and IC well enough, could handle such a thing without letting it get out of control in anyway. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): One piece of wood on a wooden house. It adds depth to your story and is just one part of the whole. Views on lore: I love lore! It is the 'rule book' of RP, in my eyes, and determines what you can and can't do. The key point is keeping your character lore separate from official lore,(IE. You are not some prominent named figure in official lore. You are 'Joe'. 'Joe' with a blank page for you to do what you want, using official lore as your guide. For FF14, I have spent a lot of time looking things up and trying to store it all in my brain. I do that with more lore related things. It is just one form of recreational reading. I try to retain as much as I can to use later in explanations or in my RP. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Handy dandy chat functions. Whispers are a good way to clarify RP related questions mid RP without breaking the mood around you or interrupting other social RP. Chat bubbles make it easier to keep an eye on things. I wish SWTOR had those. I think /say is used more for the regular RP stuff. I likely will not be using whatever the /guild chat is for my RP. III. Other Info Country: USA Timezone: Pacific Coast(West) Contact info: Pming me will likely work best. I will probably refresh the forums a few times a day, as I do with the other 3 forums I am part of. I am used to forum activity, and I hate checking my email.

You already hear it from me all the time, but I love your work =p. Great job on those 2.

Hello everyone, Ravyne here and I bring you fish. Lots of fish! I have heard a lot things about this RPC from Siobhain and I felt inclined to join to see all the cool RP stuff going on. To kick start things off I shall answer the common questions and/or categories about myself. --MMORPG background Well, I have a short background list when it comes to MMO's. My very first MMO experience came in the form of Runescape. I played that for about year, subscribing to their cheap member pricing and took up a fisherman role. I joined a fishing guild OOC and spent most of my time fishing for lobsters, swordfish and sharks to make money. I picked up World of Warcraft next, during the beginning of Burning Crusade. I made some friends, started a guild, and we became a pretty close knit group. We weren't dedicated to anything except having fun. We didn't raid. We weren't on an RP server. We just did whatever, whenever, with whoever. Eventually I wanted more and branched out in to PVE and PvP fairly heavily, which later turned into almost pure PvP. I would like to believe I got fairly good at it too =). I stopped playing World of Warcraft shortly before Cataclysm was released and joined a Pre-launch guild called Jen'jidai, for SWTOR. Jen'jidai is a guild in the Legend Gaming community and it started 2-3 years before the game came out so I got very familiar with forum activity. During the Beta for SWTOR, I became the PvP officer for Jen'jidai and held that spot until I left SWTOR in September of 2012. I cam currently the co-guild leader for a Pre-launch guild, called Acheron, in the Legend Gaming community for the future World of Darkness MMO, which is very RP oriented. That is pretty much my MMO experience in a nutshell. --RP experience This is where I lack a lot of experience. My first RP experience EVER, came when I joined Jen'jidai for SWTOR, in 2009. I got introduced to Forum RP there and very much enjoyed it. I had never done it, or any type of RP, before. Forum RP there turned in to In-game RP when SWTOR was released. That was a completely new experience and and interesting one. In early 2012 I played my first Table top RP game in Abberant, for a full story, then we moved to Vampire: Dark Ages. --Character ideas/info Well, here we go... I expect to be playing a Male Hyur, Midlander, by the name of Ravyne Helbarde(Ru-veen Hell-bard). Though he commonly goes by Brand, due to a tatoo he has 'branded' on his face. He prefers this name since it is more masculine over the pronunciation of his own him. His background will see him hailing from Ishgard, as a former Lancer/Dragoon. Prior to to events of Bahamut's escape from Dalamund, he and a friend left to help out the other alliances, feeling that Ishgard should be worrying more about the Garlean Empire, and less about the Dragons. He takes up residence in Limsa Lominsa and joins the Maelstrom. He also takes up fishing at this time, as a hobby. While he is not present during that battle underneath Dalamund against the Garlean Empire, his friend was. He learns that his friend was killed during that battle and that traumatic feeling shapes him in to who he is in present time. He will be somewhat of a recluse, making a living as a fisherman.(AYE SIR!!!!) While he is generally kindhearted and easy to get a long with, he has a distaste for fighting. He does not advocate it and somewhat looks down on those who enjoy it, due to the death of his friend. I am still fleshing out a lot of his general nature and demeanor. --How did you learn about the coalition? Through Siobhain. She talked a lot about it as she was setting up her own character. --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? I think that I am going to start as a light-medium RPer, then transition to Medium. Depending on how that goes, it could even progress to heavy. Being so fresh to the RP scene, I don't want to jump in the pool with out my floaties on. --Anything from real life youâre comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I am 25, a 'graphic designer' if you want to call me that. I do freelance web work, and I am the webmaster for Legend Gaming.(legend-gaming.net). My specialty really lies in motion graphics though. I like to make guild videos and what not. I like to fish too, as you can tell. As I mentioned, I am fairly new to the RP scene, so I hope you can cut me some slack. I do want to get better and take some time to really get involved in RP so I am open to ideas, feedback, and suggestions. Thank you in advance for taking to the time to read this. I appreciate it for those who did. No fish for those who didn't!
