  1. Pretty much what Kat said. I have found myself being unpredictable when it comes to chatting with someone while roleplaying. There are times I will say rude comments at my closest friend without thinking about it, simply because that's the mood my character is in at the moment. I would definitely reccomend playing a more cheerful alt, or taking a break. I know, in my experience, I've had times when my character becomes depressed and because it affects me as well, I lose my motivation to write them as anything but. Often times after I've calmed down, I realize that my character has little reason to be upset, and ends up sorting out the problem rather quickly. (Or, at least, they start to react more instead of moping.)
  2. This sounds really cool and I'd like to participate, but I'm kinda new to organized groups like this. If you're willing to deal with a bit of stumbling here and there, count me in. (If not, that's fine as well.)
  3. Thanks for the replies! I'm sure I'll feel much less silly now.
  4. From what I've seen on this forum, and in game, Gilgamesh is a good server for starting a roleplay character. And though I haven't done much more than tavern and solo RP (yet), I do have two active characters that I'd be happy to nudge in your characters' direction. Neither of them are significantly grumpy either, so they might be good to practice with. Not sure if Im skilled enough to mentor you, though. EDIT: My characters are Nunuza Nuza and Qhaya Chalahko, though I've been on Qhaya the most often recently.
  5. Forgive me for kind of popping out of nowhere. I've been lurking on this forum for a while, but haven't actually said anything... So anyway! What, if I may ask, is the general opinion on solo RP? Would I look like a total weirdo if I were to emote to myself while my character goes about their business? My initial thought is that it would make my character more easy to approach, but I was worried it might actually do the opposite. So I guess my question is, does anyone else do this? Do you think it would help or harm RP? ...And would I seem a bit dumb, emoting to myself all the time?
