I'm like to try tossing you a tell when I'm online about the linkshell. Other than that this makes me happy. I won't have to go to Ul'dah to pretend I'm happy being there, yay!

Personally I prefer Limsa and La Noscea, for its many great views and atmosphere. Plenty of variation on the isles, not much you couldn't want for there in terms of the areas. This unlike Ul'dah and Thanalan which is more less just sand, some more sand and then a bit of sand. Gridania and the Black Shroud are places that I do enjoy, they're beautiful in their own way but I can find what I see in the Black Shroud by just wandering about La Noscea too. That said, it's a bit disheartening knowing that I decided to make La Noscea my character's home, only for it to apparently be a bit lackluster for RP. Not that I didn't expect that though, I wouldn't expect to even run into people half the time I'm online as is.

Thanks a bunch you two for the welcome. I do doubt we'll be seeing much of each other, as I intend to hang about around La Noscea. A pity maybe, Ul'dah and Thanalan are both beautiful. On the bright side there are boats travelling between the two regions, so I might come visit Western Thanalan at least. On that note, I did manage to unlock fisherman just this day and although Derrik's underwear are visible for all at the moment I do say I will be ready to engage in actual roleplay soon enough!

Hey! Seems I'm new to this site, might as well say hi or summat. I'm Robin, but by all means call me Pooch. I've played FFXIV for a little bit (since 2.0 closed beta, actually) though I originally hail from Hyperion. Decided with 2 friends to make RP characters on one of the servers, which apparently happened to be Balmung! (Though I swear I was on Gilgamesh a week ago) But an alt was made, a strong and independent Highlander named Derrik. Meant to be a fisherman, though I have not yet gotten so far as to unlock the class... Or get to Limsa. I personally am somewhat familiar with RP from before, having engaged in such both in Pen&Paper games, online and in some games. Most notable might be my escapades in Guild Wars 2, where I am still somewhat active. Regardless, to round up. If you ever see a handsome tall man named Derrik sporting whatever handsome tall men sport, don't hesitate to ask for some fish.
