Hi folks! As the subject reads, I've been roleplaying for a while; to be more specific, I've RP'd for about 5 years on WoW (Moon Guard), mostly lore-based and kaldorei focused. I haven't been an active roleplayer in probably a year or so, so my skill has waned slightly, but what can ya do. I tried my hand at FFXIV RP about a year and a half ago and had a lot of fun, but I was on Gilgamesh and if my friends weren't on I had some trouble finding good, walk-up RP. Now I'm on Balmung and it's everywhere, which as is beautiful as it is intimidating. That being said, just looking for some folks to RP with, maybe get some in-roads to an RP FC. I'm still fleshing out my character (and trying to level up), so I don't have a wiki page or anything set up yet, but in my experience the best way to figure a character out is to just RP and see how they progress. His name is Royce Warren, and as for just a general vibe, he's a quick witted archer (possibly IC bard, haven't decided yet) that likes sweet women and strong drink, or maybe the other way around. He enjoys telling tales - whether they're true is irrelevant - and watching people try to decide if he's being serious or not due to his dry sense of humor. Good afternoon/evening/morning, friends. I had dabbled in FFXIV a while back and was excited to get my proverbial foot into the proverbial door of roleplay, as I am an avid and frequent roleplayer in WoW (Vandanir, kaldorei druid on Moon Guard, hit me up!). I created a character on Gilgamesh, made a few friends to RP with every now and then, and joined a free company, but never seemed to really get my finger on the pulse and eventually just fizzled out when walk-up roleplay simply became hard to come by. I was just hoping for some helpful hints on where to go to meet new people. I have resubscribed and am excited to jump back into it, as this game does so many great things for roleplayers that other games do not. Thanks! I'm on Moon Guard as well! I mainly play Alliance (Night Elf Druid), but I have a boosted Blood Elf Paladin and am looking to make a Tauren...? Or maybe a troll? I'm not entirely sure! When/If I get more serious about Horde roleplay, I'm planning on applying to The Dawnfury Concordant, as I made a couple friends from that guild in the Arathor RP/PvP event. Edit: Thanks, Haeden. I actually gave it a try this morning before work and quickly sneaked a character in there. Was planning on transferring my 16 Gladiator, but by the time I realized that transfers were closed I had to get ready to head out the door. I'm going to reroll him, but I'm just relieved I at least have one character in there so far

Hi folks! Just picked up FFXIV and am mostly new to the series, though I played one or two of the old GBA games and Crystal Chronicles on Gamecube. I'm an active role player on World of Warcraft and thoroughly enjoy getting to use speech and language in such creative ways. Anywho! I got started on a server that my friend's characters were on, and at 16 levels in, it struck me that surely somewhere in this game there is an RP community. That being said, it seems to be common knowledge that Gilgamesh is the most popular non-Legacy, and Balmung is for Legacy. Unfortunately these servers seem to be quite full, preventing me from being able to start a character on them. Are there any other servers with solid RP communities? Or is there some way I might be able to get on the server? Thanks so much!
