  1. Hahah Luckily a lot of my roleplay happened at Neverwinter Nights, where the day/night timing was hard-coded into the game. The times for NWN and Eorzea were actually similar. NWN time really used to bother me when people suggested using in-game time to talk about your character's age. They had a day pass every few minutes, so that meant that if we went by in-game time our characters would die of old age only a few weeks or a month after their conception, and that did NOT sound like a very good idea to me. A tip from me playing on NWN: Just roleplay and focus on the characters, not the time of the day. Things get really easy to overlook from there ;D I guess its easier said than done considering NWN is a decade behind FFXIV as far as graphics go, though I still felt like night and day were very noticeable in NWN anyway, regardless of graphics! Still, you really come to forget it as the time goes by. Both in Game time and real life time, HAH! Just use game time as it is convenient to you. Nothing else that can be done.
  2. I actually think the gear level requirement that makes your stats not worth it but you can still equipt it makes a lot of sense. Not to compare this game to WoW like every single person who has played an MMO after WoW does, but it infuriated me that nobody could ever wear leather if they were a priest and nobody colud wear a hat until they were a specific level. What, was putting a darn hat on top of their head too complicated of a task to accomplish? This feels more realistic to me, yet not game-breaking at all, from what i've heard of it
  3. twilight_requiem I'm reinstalling it now, I never did that after I recently reformatted my computer. I don't have a mic though, so i'm just an uninteresting little slob =P P.S. I always love to talk Er type x.x
  4. I like YG because it reminds me of WoWhead. WoW hate aside [Everyones' doing it, lol.] WoWhead helped me immensely, and I like the fact someone is honoring them like that . That and Thottbot, of course.
  5. Holy fishpaste! EVERYONE is free this week for LoL! If you want to try out a champion, now is the time to do it! So taking advantage of this to try out Malzahar
  6. I have agree with Zeah completely, and honestly. XI's PC interface was not difficult to use. It DID take a long time to get used to, but you could get used to it. Everything is exactly like you said, you just need patience. I only mentioned APB because I heard of that unsettling rumor. It has barely been out and it was already shut down? I did a quick google search about it and found this; http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/201 ... rvers-shut That is the only thing I fear; A complete and utter shut-down o_O. -=-=-=-=- And about why the features of XI were not put into XIV, I got this funny idea while walking around campus at college that came from that thing I heard a long time ago that when FFXIV would come out, Square Enix would keep XI up for a year before closing it down/completely ceasing updates, I forgot which it was. Maybe they are planning on doing this so that they can release XIV early and give it a year to 'Catch up and exceed' XI before completely quitting on XI? Just random conjecture
  7. If my memory serves correctly they have changed Panth's ult a bit recently. For instance, summoner spells can no longer be used before the jump
  8. Aside from Final Fantasy XI - which came out with a year's worth of updates and an expansion - I have yet to see a review of an initial-release MMO that was largely positive and at least nominally objective. The first three months are almost always devoted to putting out fires and fixing unforeseen errors. Anyone who draws immutable conclusions about the quality of the game at this point... probably shouldn't be playing an MMO. Give it six months. Normally I would say three, but XIV may take extra time to get everything fixed since the devs are still working on getting the game to work on the PS3 and its 256MB RAM + 256MB VRAM where it's running on PC with >1535MB RAM + >511MB VRAM. Or >2047MB RAM + >511MB VRAM for Vista/7 version. I sure hope so. I heard about a rumor that APB was completely shut down simply because they found some huge issue with the way the game was designed. Is that true? Because it makes me worry about any other future MMOs if that happens to be true...
  9. I've had a good deal of success with AD kat, that much is certain. She is also very skilled at mid laning, just spam BB on everybody and farm with it and not even Ashe can push or farm harder than you when you get Shunpo to further help with harassment and farming . AP Kat USED to be just as valid as AD, once upon a time, but then they severely nerfed Shunpo's damage and then AD became the better choice. My problem with Kat is that whenever I go into a team fight they always focus me or stun or silence me. Did you know that Death Lotus can be canceled by stuns and silences? It really, really sucks <.< I'm trying out Pantheon now and I must say, I love that spear. Its great for feeding off of noobs [[i speared this one yi who was playing around, running in circles, then I just used ghost and used one last spear and ignited him and ran away with first blood ]]. More reliably, it is a great farming and harassment tool. Low mana, very low CD... its like Ezreal's mystic shot at level 5 but it always hits its mark ;D.
  10. Yeah I tend to like AD characters the most, whenever I try AP I USUALLY fall flat on my face. I did OK building Vlad, but my playstyle does not fit very well for his abilities <.<. I've NEVER tried a flat out caster that wasn't Viegar [[Who I can't use his stun to save my life. Litterally.]] so Malzahar looks promising. Pantheon is, in fact, one of the characters i'm wondering about maining, but I really want to try out Malzahar first. Darn Malzahar costing so much IP or money! I only got to play him as a free character briefly, so my experience with him is limited. I know tanking is usually not my favorite type of character, but being a carry or jungler doesn't seem to be my style. I like trying to do damage but I don't want to be quite in the spotlight. I just want to see people's health bars go down >.> Tyrn is good for that, but he is so difficult to hit people with. His only CC is a slow that takes effect if they're facing away from you ;< but the damage reduction debuff that same CC has is amazing. At level 5, 100 damage reduction? That is totally crippling for ANY AD character o_o Especially one like Yi and Warwick and ... Another Tyrn, lol. It is so difficult to get with a character, because once you buy it you never get all of that IP back T-T
  11. MYAAAAAAAAR! NYAAAAA! MRAH! GRA! I can speak kitty-link. It is a very complex language, trust me.
  12. Wow, we have quite the LoL group here! =O I tried my hand at LoL for a long time, got up to level 29, but then realized I spent every penny of my IP on champions and that I had no runes. I lost almost every single battle I want to as a result D: I used to play Ezreal and main him, as AD when AP was the popular thing to do with Ez. Now they nerfed EVERYTHING about him and I feel like it is simply too difficult to do any damage to anybody to be of use to your party. I rarely ever die as Ezreal, but that is because I know how to so tottally abuse Arcane Shift . But yeah, i'm trying to find a replacement hero right now. I'm thinking it may be Tyrn, I just love all of that crit power he has. I want to build him in a way that requires a lot of runes, however - Almost all of them being crit chance [[NOT crit damage.]] But i'm not sure. I'm thinking of trying out Malzahar because I've never tried him before and he seems fun, but... yeah. I so tottally need champion suggestions O_o because when I play Ezreal I always feel like something is missing :<
