All you can do really is just take every chance you can to RP. Trying approaching people- after you have, if they seem like they don't want to be bothered, than don't bother them, and you can always ask in an OOC whisper to double check But, really, random walk-up RP is the best way to meet people and sort of figure out what you're doing. I apologize in advanced if I posted this in the wrong section or something along those lines! but, I just have a question to ya veterans in rping! I am new to rp..so I'm not quite sure what I should do, I don't want to annoy or trouble anyone if I do it incorrectly, what advice or what do you recommend that I do?

I. Basic Info Characters: Lest Azure Primary character: Lest Azure Linkshells:N/A Primary RP linkshell:N/A II. RP Style [*] Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I'm new to rp so I guess I'll go with light? Views on RP combat and injuries: I like the idea of it, I don't mind if my character gets hurt during combat and may take heavy damage and such. Views on IC romance: I'm up for it of course! It's part of rping no? Either way, I'm a yes on it c: Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Even better, I don't mind having non-romantic relationship~ Views on lore: I'm fairly new, so I don't know much about the lore.....yet! If I need to research lore for a certain rp event/group I will. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I'm always up for something new. III. Other Info [*] Country:US Timezone:GMT 7 Contact info:PM? idk .-.

really!? ;-; I was trying to enter Balmung, but I couldn't DX Hehe, I think she was just messing around. Both servers are viable for rp! Gilgamesh doesn't have as much open world rp as is on Balmung (I think, someone correct me if I'm wrong), but it is as rich and deep. All you need is to show up at some events or send a pm to a player of a gilg character that interests you to get something started. Plenty of Gilg people have great and satisfactory rp, and I'm sure you will too. ohhhh >~> Ah, I see! Thanks for the info, but one question though if it's not too much. It's possible to transfer characters to a different server, right? I mean you're on the wrong server to RP with me! Totally wrong, and terrible! (Just kidding!) Actually, I was able to transfer to Balmung a few moments ago

Hello, names is Lest! I'm sort of new to FFXIV by that I mean I bought the game last year, but never had the time to play till now! I'm also new to rping so I apologize in advance if I trouble any of you with my noobness haha. I've been roaming around Gilgamesh trying to find people who rp, but couldn't however I found this awesome site and I hope I can talk and meet some of you on that server~
