  1. Excellent! I'm online right now if both of you would like to add me, and I'll be making a linkpearl for the arc some time tonight.
  2. Hello everybody! Since I'm going to be starting a new plot thread for my character that involves a bit of peril for the shroud, and co-operation with the Adders, I figured this was about as prime an opportunity as one could ask for to try and network out to any other in-character Adder members... Or just any Lancer/Archer/Conjurer/Adventurer that works around the shroud area, for that matter. At this point the story isn't just going to be a one and done matter, but I hesitate to set up regular, dedicated times that I'd progress with it either. I guess it would just be the sort of thing that you can just kind of take and run with on your own, contributing whenever you are able to, or feel like it. ^^ If anybody wants in, feel free to either send me a PM on this website, or try to catch me while I'm online. Character's name is C'lantaa Shenn Below is something of a preview, or tone setter, for the story arc. Beasts in the outer reaches of the shroud have been getting more aggressive as of late. Boars, Anoles, and Crocs have all become far more fiercely territorial and have come ever close to civilization, all the while fighting with greater ferocity than was normal for them in the past. They press on beyond seemingly lethal wounds, with a look in their eye of pure, blind fury that has made many of the repelling wailers claim they were more akin to voidsent than living creature. The outbreaks at this point have been few and comfortably far between, but it's still enough cause for worry that the Order of the Twin Adder has begun investigating the cause, so far no information has been disclosed to the general public.
  3. Hello there! Little bit of setup here, I've got a character who's a relatively talented archer that I would like to start shifting around and exploring a few more vocations. Given the more discreet and dexterity based nature of dagger play, I figure that it's a winning combination. However, rather than just have her practice off screen and slowly become better, I think it would be a lot more fun, and a lot easier to explain and write for later, if she gets pulled into the rouge's guild through a series of RP events. After all, to the best of my knowledge the Rogue's guild is hidden and secret, albeit it's a pretty poorly kept one. So! If you're an IC Rogue or Ninja, and you're interested recruiting and/or mentoring a newcomer to the dagger wielding trade, feel free to hit me up! I know it's pretty vague right now, but I figure the rest can be worked out either in-game or through PMs. Of course, I'm more than happy to just set up meetings with anybody else that's interested as well, even if it's not for the rogue thing. If you're just looking to branch out and network, feel free to hit me up! I'll put some basic information on my character below, just so that you can see if it would be up your alley or not. Personal history and personalities will not be displayed though, since I think that those are more fun to discover in-character. Hope to hear from you all soon! Name: C'lantaa Shenn Age: 18 Race: Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te Gender: Female
  4. The characters once housed in this thread have both been retired, and as such it is no longer relevant. If a moderator would like to delete the thread, I would greatly appreciate it. For some reason, whenever I attempt to delete the post, it tells me that I don't have permission to do so.
  5. Thank you both very much for the advice, I really appreciate it. I waited until earlier this morning, and I *was* in fact able to successfully get a character on to the server.
  6. Hello everybody. I'm SargentToughie, and while I'm new to both this forum and RPing in Final Fantasy 14, and new to RPing in MMOs at all for that matter, this will not be my first foray into the realm of RPing as a whole. I have almost a decade of experience when it comes to forum RPing in a variety of different ways, and I'm kind of excited to take things up to the next level, so to speak. Anyway, I've got a bit of a situation on my hands. I'm well aware by this point that Balmung by many to be their preferred RP server, but every time I try to set up a new character on that server, it's always greyed out and locked off from new characters. I was just curious, is there something special that I have to do to get permissions to join that server? Or is it more of a case where I have to get lucky and hope to catch it when it's accepting new members. Either way, I'm looking forward to hearing back from you guys, and I can't wait to get started. Thank you for taking the time to read the post, rather you can help me or not. I look forward to interacting with many of you in the future. -Toughie
