  1. Shamad looked over at the one with the eyepatch. He put out his hand and idly juggled a few fireballs. "She wouldn't be the only one to scar you." He grinned maniacally and giggled.
  2. Shamad nodded with his head on the table. "Most of it. They said I was struck by some kind of lightning and it damaged my brain. They said it would all come back in time and that I was fortunate to have come to them this soon. Otherwise it would have been permanent." He lifted his hand. Ring and flesh were knitted together. "I'll have this for the rest of my life." He looked up and stared at the other Lalafell at the table. "Who are you?"
  3. Shamad staggered into the Roost. He wobbled over to table and sat down. He grabbed the bottle of wine and took a long drink. He started swearing under his breath.
  4. The doors opened. A Lalafell in official livery scanned the tables. His gaze locked on Nedral. He approached the table. "Nedral Crenl? I need to speak to you. Privately."
  5. Shamad stared at his finger. He got up. "I'll leave you two to your conversation. I'm going to the Conjurer's Guild. I'll be back." He walked to the counter and conversed with the innkeeper. He scurried out of the Roost.
  6. Shamad lowered his hand carefully. He considered what to ask. "What happened to me? Why can't I remember anything?" He looked worried.
  7. Shamad looked at Nedral. "So I'm Shamad and you're Nedral." He grimaced. "Will you explain this to me? It hurts like Rhalgr's own wrath." He lifted up his right hand. His ring finger was red and black. Ring and skin were melted together.
  8. The doors to the Roost burst open. Two sodden figures, one twice the height of the other, walked to the counter. The inn keeper looked at the two strangers with disgust. "We need a room." She looked down at herself and her companion. "And towels for both of us." He nodded. "1000 gil. Each." She handed over the gil and he handed her three towels. She took two and handed the third to the Lalafell next to her. It was large enough to be a blanket for him. They took seats at a table. The Lalafell leaned towards his companion. "Now will you tell me who you are and who I am? I appreciate the help escaping but the punt into the river was a bit much."
  9. Excuse me while I pick my jaw off the ground.
  10. The way I avoid accidental Metagaming or Godmod is I don't read char bios or their stories at all. That entire section down there gets the mark all posts button pushed. What I don't read I don't know and there is no chance for me to slip things in I shouldn't.
