3. Personal Profile Character Name: T'eyo Tia Gender: Male Race: Sunseeker Mi'qote Domestic Profile Civil Status: Resident Place of Residence: Limsa Lominsa Occupation: Adventurer Free Company: None Social Profile T'eyo washed up in Limsa Lominsa sometime after the Calamity, the only known survivor of the pirate ship he was on at the time. He makes no secret of his past, but does not often share the complete details. He has since taken to adventuring professionally, though he has not been particularly bold or well-known yet, preferring to take jobs he knows he can handle but still test his abilities over risky ventures that could leave him dead. Of particular note are his attachments to and interests in the city's orphanages and whorehouses, to which he donates a substantial portion of his adventuring profits - his way of giving back to the community that's given him a second chance. He is a very animated individual, as well as an incorrigible flirt. He puts great stock into the words of fortune-tellers and other such seers, though he downplays it slightly, if only because there are stranger things in this world than there being a hint of truth in the interpretation of symbolism behind the draw of the cards. Long-since lost to the clan of his birth on an island now lost to the Calamity, T'eyo maintains his title of Tia until such a time as he is able to support a clan of his own and prove his worth. Meta Profile I have a 9-6 M-F office job with an hour commute and operate on EST. I'm focusing mostly on gameplay with the time I currently have, but I am always happy to discuss RP and ideas. 5. I. Basic Info Characters:T'eyo Tia Primary character:T'eyo Tia Linkshells:None Primary RP linkshell:None II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium Views on RP combat and injuries: Prefer OOC planning and plot-significant combat/injuries, will /random if you really wanna fightaboutit Views on IC romance: Tia out for money, power, women? Gotta break a few hearts, or at least goof up trying. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): T’eyo has no known family, but I welcome all discussion on RP ideas. Views on lore: Super elitist lorejunkie, currently catching up on all the details of 14. Exceptions? Game time is way too fast and what we see in game can't be 100% representative of things like, city size, scope, and contents. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): “Oh, hey, I wonder if we’ll see people use Linkshells in cutscenes.” “Oh, hey, that totally just happened. Linkshells are canon.” III. Other Info Country:USA Timezone:EST Contact info:PM me here/ingame [glow=blue]~Special announcements can be found in the posts below~[/glow]
6. Hi everyone. I'm T'eyo. My first MMO was FFXI, which I played for about four, five years years before bopping around and landing in WoW, which served as the transition from "I'm interested in the lore" that FFXI gave me into "I can totally RP this." I've been RPing for almost twelve years now and RPing vaguely well for eight. Or four, if I'm being honest with myself. I didn't get excited for 14 when it was first announced and released because I had just really settled in with a good guild in WoW and had some RL obligations that kept my gaming time to a minimum. Fortunately for everyone since then, things have only gotten better for 14. I'm now in a position where I can be excited about 14, and I'm really looking forward to the expansion. I managed to get a spot on Balmung one day before work and so far everyone I've seen has been super friendly and helpful. I found out about this forum when I was researching the community several months before purchasing the game. Being familiar with XI, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play a Mithra-Dude, and when I discovered the cultural details of our favorite sunbros I thought it would make for a nice, easy character to RP. So, you've got yourself another dime-a-dozen Tia, out for money, power, and women. Beyond that, I'm not really sure what's going on with this character yet. They still need to settle in my head. I'm leaning towards "is actually super nice" over "is an insufferably annoying cliche" but we'll have to see how things go. For now, I'm happy to just kinda lurk and see who and what there is to see. I'm glad that there's this community here for me to stalk. So, hello!
