'Ello everybody! A few months ago I started up again and enjoyed it immensely, however life wasn't conclusive to playing. Things have calmed down and I'm back for good this time. More fun is that this time the gf has joined me, and she's hooked. Shes a bit of an old school RP'er and never has done any RP in an MMO. Shes a bit nervous but not shy. She doesnt have a backstory to her character, and will most likely end up evolving like most of my characters do, based on who they meet and what happens to them. I think some good OOC introductions would be good for her to get comfortable and get her feet wet. Anyone have any linkshell suggestions? Or good ways to get her slowly involved? She's very interested, I just dont want to throw her in the deep end. Thanks for any suggestions!

I joined Hugs and Cake, seems like a good group of people. Been rather quiet since a lot of the talk is about things I don't understand yet. Trying to absorb as much as I can at this point and find my way to get involved. Currently trying to find the best way to tell who's talking, never has a game made me wish for chat bubbles like this one does. Having everyone's name visible all the time drives me crazy, but with the names off I cant tell who's speaking. Just need to find my right settings.

Definitely seems that linkshells are the way to go, now I just need to figure out how to actually make it work in game. You can join 8 of them right? I don't want to be be bouncing in and out of them if its a permanent choice of 1 or another.

Heya everyone, figured I'd introduce myself. I played a tiny bit about 2 years ago, and didn't get hooked. Got myself started back up a few days ago, and enjoying myself immensely, so now its time to meet some people. I'm on Balmung and have NO idea what I'm doing. So if anyone wants to seek me out and give me a hand (RP, IC, OOC, anything would be helpful, I barely know how to stand most of the time) it would be greatly appreciated. I love running around and seeing all the RP tags flying overhead, but there doesn't seem to be much being said in /say anywhere, so maybe I'm just in the wrong place. Hope to run into some of you soon.

I'll drop my two cents and join the fun. I'm an ERP Software engineer (Enterprise Resource Planning not the other ERP) Spend all my life living in databases and figuring out how to move bits of data from one place to another.

I. Basic Info Characters: Gabriel Dante, Malakh Talsren Primary character: Gabriel Dante Linkshells: None yet (Just returning) Primary RP linkshell: See above II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I tend to find myself in the medium/heavy RP world. If its a public channel everything I say can be considered IC, however I'm not a fan of writing paragraphs back and forth to define what I'm saying and how I'm saying it. Views on RP combat and injuries: RP combat is a tough one, I generally avoid it since almost all my experiences have been with people who are "greatest in the land" and cannot be harmed. I'd personally rather find out the outcome beforehand and just breeze through it. Injuries happen, and if it's agreed, a scar or an injury from a battle can lend weight to a choice. Since its a world full of healing magic, deciding to keep a scar would be a powerful personal choice in my mind. Views on IC romance: If it develops it develops, but I am not one to seek out a relationship and decide OOC that its going to happen. Nothing good comes from that. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I generally don't want anyone to RP as my family member since it introduces too many variables to keep in track. Old friend? Prior academy mate? Sure! Leave the family out of it. Views on lore: I don't know it inside and out, trying to get a basic knowledge so I don't put my foot in my mouth. That being said, I know when something shouldn't exist in the world and won't bring any of it in. If I say something that doesn't make sense, enlighten me. My main character wouldn't know anything of politics or history beyond what a commander has told him. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): If its publicly viewed then its IC (unless (())'d ) Tells can be both, but generally OOC III.
