Thank you! I think I'm going to move a new character over to Balmung; I have friends playing there already and I can continue to do endgame with my FC on Diabolos while I build up a character on Balmung whom I can RP with.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease! I think I will transfer over a new character so that I don't have to worry about disrupting endgame events on my other chars and I can tell a new story with a character I'm still learning.

I've been planning on moving a character from Diabolos to Balmung after I found out a chunk of my former LS is on this server, and while I'm there I would like to join an RP FC/LS, someone who wouldn't mind taking me under their wing and teaching me the ropes. Currently, I have a level 50 legacy dragoon, a level 60 dragoon I would like to keep on Diabolos if able, a level 30 bard, and a couple fresh characters that I planned on leveling eventually simply because I like to level. Would it matter if I chose one or the other? Would a group be less willing to take me because I would need to level to cap again and wouldn't have as much time to join roleplay? I would ultimately probably prioritize roleplay over the exp grind, but would it be a mark against me if I chose not to move one of my more seasoned characters in favor of going with something new? This is the stuff I worry about Sorry for the fuss.

Hello! I'm new to the forums too, and I have the same problem you do... I'm rather shy when it comes to people I don't know. But just by looking over your starting post, I think you got solid ideas to flesh out and a great starting point!

Hello everyone, allow me to introduce myself! I am known mostly through the FFXIV community as Sora, though I play several different characters in-game! I've been playing FFXIV since 1.0 was in beta, and before that I played FFXI from 2004 to 2013. I was active on a FFXI RP forum for about a year before I made the switch to XIV. I have not roleplayed on FFXIV currently, and I blame this partially on the fact that I moved to Diabolos with some of my linkshell mates and there is no roleplay to be found. After two years I've become stir-crazy! I'm looking to make friends beyond my server and get back into the roleplay scene. I hope you all will be patient with me as I figure things out.
