Thanks for the reply! After posting here I skimmed the site briefly and was pretty impressed with the variety of threads and information about the setting! I suppose I shall have to sit down and decide what sort of character I would like to play so that I can level and do a transfer, but I look forward to it!

Hi there! I am still less than a week into my FFXIV experience. It is the first numbered Final Fantasy game I have played since V (ha!) but I do enjoy it so far. I am not new to RP, and enjoy roleplaying in many different forms online and offline. I am curious what it is like in FFXIV, and have read a bit about Balmung and the transfer option. I'd love to know what kinds of things people enjoy roleplaying in their Free Companies, and what your experiences have been like! I am also interested to know if there is a good resource for information about the setting aside from simple exploration in-game. Thanks a bunch, and I look forward to possibly RPing with some of you!
